The stars were really beautiful that night. Add a little bit of a cold breeze and he'll feel much better. But if he was here with him, just him, it would be the best night of his life.
Shiho really love stargazing. He loved stargazing with his family, but their parents were now gone so it's just him and Mirai. Although Mirai couldn't stay up very late like she usually did before because of her condition, it's usually just Shiho alone in their small balcony of their home.
He is actually happy when he's alone watching the stars, or it's just that he's used to it. But then he met him.
He met Yoichi when they were in college. Both are good friends with Shinoa so they were easily seen together as a squad. But he wished that it's just him and Yoichi alone. Day by day his feelings for the brunet grew for an unknown reason that he didn't even give a heck about it, although he couldn't just say it. He thought that it'll ruin their friendship.
Coincidentally, Yoichi also has the same feelings. They confessed thanks to a certain lavender haired's plan, with a help of Yuu and Mitsuba (more like dragged into). It was a weird experience for Shiho because he was stuttering and stumbling his words that time. Thank God, Yoichi understands, he was also nervous that time. But through it all, they finally opened their hearts and started a new chapter in their lives as a couple.
The days were great, they went on a lot of dates, study together, walking home together. It was great. Until graduation came. Yoichi was going to work in America as a freelance photographer. He dreamed and planned on being in the States for a very long time, so Shiho couldn't argue with that. The problem is the timezone. Japan was about 14 hours ahead from America so they would have a hard time communicating with each other.
But that didn't stop them. Shiho can manage to stay up late (and skipped work sometimes) just to talk to his boyfriend. Yoichi did the same. Also, thanks to his frenemy Yuu, who has a boyfriend in Russia, in handling long distance relationships.
It's just been 2 years, but to Shiho, it felt like an eternity. Now he has an another reason why he wanted to stay up late; that 11:11 thing.
He got that from Shinoa. She said that she wished in 11:11 one night and the next day Mitsuba was hers (although Shiho thought that it's a coincidence). Mirai also believed in this. She believed in a lot of things actually; red strings, soulmates, etc.
He thought that it's sort of a ridiculous concept, but at the same time, he wanted his wish to be granted. Not thinking twice enough, he started to wish at the stars when that time comes.
