Work Text:
Things were normal in the digital world. The watcher of this world, Colin, was minding his business, pacing the wide checkered path. He was checking the coding of certain assets when a familiar voice called out to him.
”Colin! Colin!”
Colin turned his head to see Caine flying towards him at near full speed. Caine stopped as soon as he was in front of the taller computer man. Colin swiped away his coding holograms with his good hand (his other hand was literally a mouse arrow) and turned to the short denture-head.
”Oh. Hello, Caine! What brings you out here?”
“I need to show you something! It’s very important!”
Caine was practically frantic, he waved his arms every direction. Colin raised his eyebrows in interest.
“Well, what is it?”
Caine took his top hat off and stuck his hand into it. He felt around for a few seconds before pulling out a notebook. He quickly flipped through its yellow pages before stopping at one page and showing it to Colin. The page was full of doodles of bees.
”Bees!”
Colin stood slightly stunned. He closed his eyes with a sigh. This wasn’t the first time Caine had done something like that; telling Colin he needed to show him something “important” and then showing him the silly drawings in his notebook asking what he thought.
He opened his eyes to meet Caine’s own eyes. One eye was blue while the other was green, and since he was looking up at Colin, they were big and starry.
“Bees!”
Colin repeated.
”Bees!”
Caine also repeated, but louder. The two laughed at themselves for a moment, then Caine cleared his throat and straightened his posture in a more serious manner.
”Also, I had some ideas for adventures and I wanted your opinion on them!” “Since you're not as harsh as Zooble can be,” Caine muttered in the same breath.
”Alrighty. I got time,” Colin replied as Caine snapped the both of them to the circus grounds, specifically next to a tall leafy tree. Caine flew down to sit under it and Colin followed soon. Caine adjusted himself so that Colin’s arm was around his shoulders. That afternoon was spent with Caine talking about the endless amount of ideas in his head and Colin listening intently. With how chaotic his schedule could be at times, he loved having moments like this, especially with Caine.
