Casey didn’t think it would be this cold; she did her best to conceal her shivering.
But Tobias noticed everything. Without a word, he took off his coat and draped it around her.
“What are you doing?” she protested. “I have a coat – you’ll freeze.”
He smiled softly. “That’s barely a coat, princess. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
They both knew he wouldn’t be - but he didn’t care.
They continued walking, pretending this was just another night, not a date they’d spent months pretending they didn’t want.
But tonight it was clear – he’d do anything for her.
