THEY MAKE ME SICK

Work Text:

Tamba had put them up to this. It was all her fault.

Not that Kazutoshi was complaining.

Hasegawa was a nice guy. He was shy, and sweet, and cute, and those stupid doe eyes of his just melted Kazutoshi’s already weak heart. His light brown hair was fluffy and soft, his face was covered in blush and freckles patterned over his cheeks, his everything. Good lord, Kazutoshi was a simp. But hey, he got to go to McDonalds with him.

They had already gotten their food, so they were just sitting in the backseat of the car, food in their lap. Kazutoshi only had a small fry and a 6 piece, but Hasegawa had gotten himself a burger. The car itself was cold and dark, though the moon shone through the back window, illuminating Hasegawa’s face perfectly. He supposed the statement was slightly unfair, since he usually thought Hasegawa’s face was ‘illuminated perfectly’.

Hasegawa was going on and on about the Pythagorean Theorem, not that Kazutoshi was listening any. He would be too busy staring at his lips to even notice anything. Not how Hasegawa moved an inch closer every two minutes. Not how Hasegawa’s pupils seemed to dilate every time he looked at him. Not how, nearing the end of the boy’s rant, he was practically pushed against his side, even if there was plenty of space in the car.

It was a quiet moment before either spoke up, Kazutoshi beating the other to the chase. “I honestly wasn’t listening to a word you said.” A soft laugh escaped Hasegawa at the other’s words, his head leaning against the shorter’s shoulder as he laughed. Even as his laughs turned to giggles, he didn’t remove his head from its perch on the shoulder. The dorky smile on his face said everything Kazutoshi needed to know.

“I honestly could’ve assumed that from the way you were staring. Didn’t seem very focused.” Hasegawa winked, snickering a bit. Kazutoshi had noticed the strange weight around his waist, a slight pull on his hip, though he didn’t bother to investigate. Ken, slowly but surely, started another rant about his Magic the Gathering card collection. At least, that’s what Kazutoshi assumed, since he’d heard ‘Lion’s Eye Diamond’ thrown in there at least once.

He’d been momentarily into Magic the Gathering, or at least gawking at the fact they were so expensive. He’d seen the card he’d mentioned earlier going for as much as 94,247.47 yen. He wondered how Hasegawa had managed to afford all those cards… He supposed he did make bank from those quiz shows he went on. Kazutoshi would never admit it to the boy, but he watched every single one he’d been on since they’d met.
His nonsensical train of thought would halt when he felt the weight move, and a slight, small pressure be applied to his thighs. His eyes finally shot down to his lower half. There it was. Hasegawa’s hand, right on his thigh. He looked to Hasegawa (who had his eyes closed), then to the hand. He wasn’t exactly aiming to move it, honestly. He was brought from his flustered cocoon when he heard Hasegawa talk.

“Oh– Shit, it’s late… Would you… uhm– Like to come to my place? J-just for the night?”

It was an offer Kazutoshi couldn’t refuse. He swallowed hard, nodding and keeping his face turned away from Hasegawa.
