Technically, you could say this is a re-write of Lost and Found but idk.

Chapter Text

It was about an hour after all the exorcists went back to heaven. Vaggie laid in a pool of her own blood, thinking about her sisters. Why they had left her and what she had done to them to deserve this (she knew what she did though).

Everything hurt. Her muscles were sore and ached from all the physical activity that came with being an exorcist. But her back and face were the worst of it. The socket where her eye used to be burned, golden ichor still oozing out quite fast, even though Vaggie ripped off a piece of her uniform and shoved the fabric in her socket to slow it down. The pain that erupted from her back was one of the worst feelings though. Lute hadn’t been kind enough to chop her wings off with a sword. No, she ripped them off. The humerus of the wing was still somewhat attached to her body. Everything after it was ripped off, laying in a heap right next to her. It felt severely dislocated though.

Her sobs in pain died down after 30 minutes of being mutilated. She knew no one would come for her. The only thing she was doing was drawing attention to herself. And she doubted any demons in hell would come to the rescue of an exorcist angel.

As she laid there, a feeling of vulnerability and smallness creeped up on her. Her eye widened a bit when she realized what this was.

‘Fuck, no no no no no!’ She practically whined in her head. This was what her sister had described as age regressing.

Vaggie had never in her life in heaven or on earth, regressed. It wasn’t really her expertise, per say. But she did take care of someone who did. Her sister.

They were really close friends and shared a dorm in the barracks. However, her sister would regress to help deal with all the stress and anxiety that came with being a soldier. Vaggie was even concerned her anxiety was GAD because of how bad it was for someone in heaven. But the regressing really helped her, especially when Vaggie started taking care of her.

But then Adam and Lute found out about it. Both of them got bad punishments for it, but her sister by far got the worst of it. Although she never got to see it, Vaggie knew it was bad because Adam had to hold her back and stop her from calling out to her. But what was the worst part was that she never got to see her again. Ever since then, Vaggie had lost the joy in caregiving. She had even lost interest in taking care of the koalas at the zoo on her weekends.

So when Vaggie started feeling what her sister described as ‘slipping’, she immediately tried to hold it back. Being in the army all her life in heaven made it pretty easy to push down and ignore her feelings.

Then Vaggie heard footsteps. She was in a very secluded part of town so hearing these made her start to panic. She was still bleeding out gold, surely the demon would notice. Her heat raced and vision started to get blurry. She barely got to see who was even running over to her before everything went black.
