Chapter Text
In the early morning hours of a cool March morning, the halls of UA were quiet, with only the hum of cleaning robots going through their programmed routines to break up the silence. Down in the administrative branch, a small rat-like being was sitting at his desk, typing out the speech he was preparing to give to the incoming freshmen. He was interrupted by the sound of two quick knocks on his door. He knew who it was immediately, as only one of his teachers knocked in that specific pattern. “Ah, Aizawa-san, you made it! Come on in!”
A scraggly-haired man dragged himself in, holding a cup of still-steaming coffee in his hand. He was dressed in all black, and he looked like had just crawled out of bed. The man looked at the rat sitting at the desk, and scowled.
“Nezu, it is 5am on the first day of the new school year. You better have a good reason for waking me and Nem up this early.” Aizawa grumbled, moving to the couch situated to the left of Nezu’s desk. He sat down, and looked around, only to realize that he wasn’t alone in the room. On the couch alongside him was a skeletal man with wild blonde hair and sunken blue eyes.
“Is Kayama-san on her way as well?” The door opened up again, and a black-haired woman walked through. She was dressed more professionally, wearing a blouse that left plenty of cleavage exposed, and simple black slacks. “Well, what do you know? Speak of the devil, and she shall arrive.
“Well, that’s a first.” Aizawa snarked. His eyes softened a small amount once he saw his wife enter the room. “So you are capable of getting ready fast.”
The woman grumbled, flipping her husband off, grabbing his cup of coffee and taking a long swig of it. She handed him the cup back.
Aizawa’s eyes darted between his now-empty cup and his wife in disbelief. She looked over at him and shot him a look. ‘That’s for being a smartass.’ Aizawa refilled his coffee cup from the canter that was on a side table in the office. Nezu always made sure to have some nice, strong coffee waiting whenever he had his meetings.
Nezu climbed up onto the desk. “Good, everyone’s here! Kayama-san, Aizawa-san, I would like you to meet our newest Foundational Heroics teacher, Yagi Toshinori.” He gestured to the skeletal man, who simply waved.
“Him?” Aizawa asked skeptically. A scrawny man like him teaching the next generation of Heroes how to be Heroes was a disaster in the making.
“Yes, him. He’s absolutely an asset we aren’t going to pass up having. Isn’t that right, All Might?” The skeletal man suddenly buffed up in a puff of smoke, turning into the Number One Hero.
That woke Aizawa up. ‘You’re shitting me... He’s the new Heroics teacher?’
“YES INDEED!” All Might bellowed out, the concept of an inside voice apparently being foreign to him. “ERASERHEAD, MIDNIGHT, IT’S A PLEASURE TO FORMALLY MEET YOU TWO.” Aizawa groaned. One loud blonde in his life was more than enough, he didn’t need another one as his coworker as well.
Nezu grabbed a few folders from the pile sitting on his desk and handed them to Aizawa. The folders had three names written on the tabs:
Izuku Midoriya
Katsuki Bakugou
Shouto Todoroki
“You having All Might here waking the both of us up aside, why are you handing me these? You already know I don’t read anything about my potential students before I run them through my Quirk Assessment Test.” Aizawa protested.
Nezu, however, had a serious look in his eyes, causing Aizawa to take pause. “Normally that’s fine, but I need you to pay attention this year. Before I continue, I need to remind you that outside of the Emperor’s bedroom, this is probably the most secure room in Japan. Regardless, what All Might and I are about to tell you two shall not leave this room. Do you understand?” Nezu stressed. The husband and wife leaned back into their couch, exhaling.
“Sure, fuck it, not like we have anyone to talk to about it besides Hizashi.” Kayama mused.
“Good! Now, Yagi-san, would you mind taking over?”
All Might deflated back to his skeletal form. “I’ll be glad to, Principal! So, you’ve probably noticed that All Might has been steadily being less and less active over the past 6 or so years, and that’s partly why I’m here as a teacher. Truth is, I’ve been on a time limit for the past 6 years, and as a result, I’ve been on the hunt for someone to be the successor to my quirk.”
“Bullshit. That goes against all documented quirk science. Don’t lead us on with a presumption or lie.” Aizawa interjected. “That whack-job out in Jaku is trying to push this as a fact, but it’s never been documented. Second off, you’re only 45, how are you on a time limit?” At the mention of Jaku, Yagi’s smile deflated a bit, but pushed on.
“My quirk is unique, in that I’m the 8th holder of it. It was passed on to me by my mentor, Maverick. But that was 30 years ago now. Today, I found a successor to my Quirk, One for All. And Nezu wants you to be his teacher. I haven’t had a good opportunity to teach him how to use One for All, and it’s a volatile quirk. It… stockpiles energy and expresses itself in ways that are stronger with each successor. When he hurts himself, please be lenient.” Yagi asked Aizawa.
Now well awake and processing what was just exposited to him, Aizawa looked down at the three folders in his hand. “So I’m going to have to run my Test with a kid who barely knows how to use his Quirk, which is apparently a Quirk that has been passed down for generations, and not immediately kick him down to Nemuri? Nezu, surely you can’t be serious?” At least this gave him every reason to skip the accursed orientation again this year. More importantly, if he used his own quirk to erase this kid’s, would it cause more harm than good? Perhaps a test with All Might could assist his worries.
“I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley.” Nezu affirmed, continuing, “You’ve done a great job with your method of running the Test, but with this incoming class, and especially after last year's class, I’m asking you to read these folders beforehand. These three are who I think are going to be your ‘problem children’, as you like to fondly call them in your notes.” The little rat had a smug look on its face. Nezu was certain of this. All the better if Aizawa could prove him wrong.
Aizawa opened the folder labeled ‘Shoto Todoroki’. The first thing he saw was a picture of a young man with white and a very familiar shade of red hair. Aizawa knew immediately who this kid was.
“Endeavor’s kid?” Problem child candidate number one.
“Indeed!” Nezu chirped. Recommendation student, then.
“Fantastic…” Aizawa grumbled to himself, continuing to read the kid’s file. As he read the file, he found himself paying close attention to the proctor’s notes from the entrance exam..
‘Noted to only use half of his quirk’s abilities in combat, regardless, his skill with ice is noteworthy.’
Upon seeing that line, Aizawa flipped back a page in the file to read the transcript from the interview beforehand. Reading it carefully, one thing became very apparent.
“So his quirk’s ‘Half-Hot, Half-Cold’, yet throughout the practical, he only used his ice to fight and rescue, and reading his interview, he said, and I quote, ‘I’ll never use my father’s fire, and I’ll make sure to be a Hero only by using my mother’s ice.’” Frustrated, Aizawa placed the folder on Nezu’s desk. Nezu stood there pensively, watching his teacher carefully. “Nem, you do understand if this kid doesn’t pull his head out of his ass, I’m kicking him your way, right?”
Nemuri nodded. “Oh I can handle him, but can you handle Endeavor?”
Aizawa scoffed. “He’s done all he can to make his child a Recommendation Student. Once they cross the barrier, it’s our rules. Not unless he wants me to put a word in to my boss about removing his son from the school entirely.” He opened the next folder, which was Izuku Midoriya’s. He looked at the kid’s picture that was clipped onto the noticeably thicker file, and he recognized him. “This is the kid that erased the Zero Pointer, right? It says he’s quirkless, though…” He blinked, and everything fell into place for him. “Him?” Aizawa looked at Yagi incredulously, “He’s your successor?” Yagi nodded.
“Indeed. I trained him up from just a scrawny boy who was desperate to be something in the world. Last year there was an incident in Musutafu involving a villain made of slime who had captured a high school student, and young Midoriya here ran in, with no quirk, mind you, and distracted the villain long enough to rescue the student and allow me to come in and finish the job. He’s smart as well; he has a penchant for writing down a whole lot of notes on every Quirk he can. He has a whole bookshelf full of notebooks he’s written in over the years…”
Aizawa took note of that. ‘Lots of notebooks, and a penchant for obsessing over quirks?” He looked over the medical history, and sure enough, his suspicions were confirmed.
Nezu laughed. “I’d like to test him personally, if you say that, Mister Yagi!” All Might had the decency to look worried at that prospect. Or was it terror that was on his face?
Aizawa kept reading the file. He flipped the page, and noticed that there were pages upon pages of disciplinary reports from his high school. The fact that he was accepted despite the laundry list of infractions he accumulated rang alarm bells in his head. Nezu never accepted troublemakers unless there was a good reason behind it. He handed Midoriya’s file to his wife, and opened Katsuki Bakugou's file up. The file itself was very small, only a single page detailing his performance and stats in the entrance exam, and another page with his high school’s notes.
‘What am I missing here about this kid? He looks like the ideal hero student… Wait.’ He flipped the page over, looking at the school and notes from said school. Nothing but glowing reports. But the school itself was interesting.
Aldera. Not a school he had ever seen produce a heroics course student before. Smaller schools weren’t commonly seen; most of the time it was higher-end prep school and/or high schools from upper-class areas.
“Nem, what school did Midoriya’s file say he attended?” he asked his wife. She flipped back to the front of the file. He was much better at analyzing someone in person. Nemuri was one of those people that could take someone apart before they ever entered the room.
“Aldera High.” She answered curtly, not looking up from the page she was on.
Aizawa furrowed his brow. Bakugo and Midoriya went to the same high school. “Something isn’t adding up here. Midoriya has a whole bunch of problems listed by his school, while Bakugou here has absolutely nothing. Aldera says Bakugou has perfect attendance and perfect grades, while Midoriya’s grades scream ‘barely passed’, despite nearly acing our written.”
Aizawa continued, grabbing Midoriya’s file and comparing the two students. He laid them out side by side on the table, so everyone could see. “Midoriya’s interview notes tell of a kid with massive anxiety and social issues, and his grades show borderline-savant levels of intelligence, meanwhile Bakugou has perfect everything, but his interview tells of a kid with a massive ego; medical suspects Narcissistic Personality Disorder, so parental negligence is off the table…” He compared their practical scores.
“Bakugo had 77 Villain points and absolutely zero Rescue points, and I distinctly remember him spurning numerous rescue opportunities and running off to destroy robots. Midoriya didn’t get any Villain points during the practical, but still destroyed the Zero Pointer. Said Zero Pointer was going to flatten another prospective Heroics student, and he shattered his arm trying to rescue her from harm, that still got him 60 Rescue points.
Nezu was intrigued now. “So what conclusions are you trying to draw, Mister Aizawa?”
“I think Midoriya was outright discriminated against at Aldera, and used him as a scapegoat to prop up Bakugou, to make him look amazing as a Hero Student.”
Nezu nodded, a toothy grin on his snout. “And what do you plan to do about him?”
Aizawa smiled for the first time today. “I’m going to humble him.” He stood up, helping his wife up as well. “Is this all you needed me for, sir? Three potential problem children, and looping me into quite possibly the biggest secret in the whole damn country?” Nezu nodded. “Cool. I’m going back to sleep.” Aizawa stood up, offering his hand for his wife, who pulled herself up. She looked back at nezu, files in hand. “If Sho has he way and kicks one of them down to me, i’ll make sure they understand why U.A is such a cutthroat school, and that they shouldn’t mess around.”
The door shut behind the teachers, leaving Nezu alone in his office once again. Three noteworthy students, one tough teacher. One that only recently manifested his quirk, one that has impeccable control over his quirk, and one that refuses to use half of his quirk’s abilities. Someone was going to inevitably fall through the cracks.
He just hoped it wasn’t the wrong one.
“Izuku! The movers just pulled up! Do you have everything ready to go?” a stout green-haired woman yelled across the house to her son.
Izuku Midoriya finished stacking the last of the boxes in the corner closest to his room’s door. “Yeah, I just finished the last box! Everything should be ready to go!”
“Well, when you get a chance, I’ll have breakfast ready for you.” his mom responded. Izuku turned around and looked at his now-barren room. Not even 24 hours ago, his room was covered wall-to-wall in Hero posters and his shelves filled with Hero merchandise and figurines. Granted, everything was mostly centered around All Might, his all-time favorite Hero. Ever since he had that chance meeting with All Might just over a year ago, his whole life had changed for the better.
Being born Quirkless was a curse he would wish upon no one. The constant harassment and bullying by his peers left him discouraged from actually training for a Hero Course, despite the fact that no Hero school had policies in place against the Quirkless trying for Hero Courses.
But then he met All Might.
All Might had, initially, shattered Izuku’s dreams of becoming a Hero, telling him he couldn’t be one without a quirk, and that he should shoot for something more realistic, like being a detective or a paramedic. But those were thankless jobs, and he wouldn’t be able to swoop in and rescue people with a smile on his face like All Might had done day in and day out.
Then he saw his childhood best friend struggling against the same slime villain that had tried to envelop him earlier, and he felt like he had to do something.
So he did. He ran in, despite every Hero on the scene yelling at him, and pulled his friend out of the villain, letting him breathe. All Might came in soon after and dispelled the villain. It was at that point All Might agreed to train him.
It was a grueling year, where Izuku put his body through more hell than he could have ever imagined. Over that year he ran harder, lifted more than ever, and did everything in his power to keep up with his mentor’s instructions. But it all paid off in the end, as he cleaned the entirety of the old trash dump that was known as Dagobah Beach, and found himself 18 kilos heavier than he had been at the start of his 3rd year at Aldera.
By the time the day of the entrance exam had arrived, he was more than prepared. Well, mostly. See, All Might had passed down his quirk to Izuku (who didn’t even know that was possible!) the day of the entrance exam, and he never had it explained to him how to use the quirk, outside of being told “Clench your butt cheeks and yell SMASH!”
Sound advice, really. It only ended in him shattering his arm after punching a giant robot to save another applicant that was about to be run over by said gigantic mech. But fate has a weird sense of humor, because his destruction of the Zero Pointer was exactly what he needed to to pass the exam, as he had already nearly aced the written portion and, somehow, didn’t bomb the interview. He may not have gotten any villain points, but he got 60 rescue points for it, which ended up being just enough to not only pass him, but put him into the top ten overall.
And here he was now, the day of his departure from home and his moving into the dormitories, where he’d be staying for the next 3 years of his life. He’s come a long way from where he was, and now that he’s here, there’s nothing that’s going to stop him.
He exhaled deeply to calm his nerves, and then left his room to join his mother for their breakfast. It was a simple breakfast, just rice and eggs, but the simplicity was more than welcome. His mom had let the two workers in and after a short conversation, moved towards him and started bringing boxes out to their truck.
“I hope this is enough for you! I’ve used up everything we had left!” his mother apologized. “I heard UA likes to put their Hero students through the wringer, just so they can see early on who sinks and who swims.” She said, trying to fill the dead air in the apartment.
Izuku nodded, not finding anything wrong. The last thing he wanted was his mother to be anxious or upset about his decisions. . “I’m sure I’ll be fine, mom. Yagi-sensei prepared me as much as he could, and it was still the most exhausting month of my life.” That was saying a lot, considering he had to deal with his school's attempts to sabotage his prospective career. After all, his teachers were not happy he had been accepted into UA. And Kacchan?
Well, he tried to push that aside.
“The most exhausting month of your life so far.” His mom smirked. “You know I’m a worrier, honey. I don’t think he ever mentioned anything about teaching you how to defend yourself.
…He did teach you how to fight, right, Izuku?” She asked her son, who froze and slowly shook his head. She could feel the frustration brewing within her. “I swear, the next time I see that man I’m-”
“Mom, please. I’ll be fine. Whatever Yagi-sensei put me through can’t be much worse than anything that UA has in store. I’m this far in, I’m not going to let anything stop me!”
After finishing breakfast, the movers departed with his belongings. He and his mother shared a tearful hug, neither ready to leave. The train ride to UA was the longest that Izuku had ever taken, or at least, that’s what his nerves made it feel like. When he had received his acceptance video from the school, they had included a temporary pass for access to the campus, as well as a note from the principal, the Hero Nezu.
‘Izuku Midoriya,
Welcome to UA! If you are reading this, you are among the top 40 that were selected for the Heroics curriculum. Being the top-ranking program in all of Japan, you’re among the elite of the elite, so take pride in that.
Your first business involves you moving into our state-of-the-art dormitories. Each class has their own dormitory, and you will be moving into the 1-A building, one of 6 dedicated to our Heroics students. This is where you will be living for the next 3 years. We offer financial guidance courses if this is your first time living on your own, as well as other seminars on basic skills if necessary.
With you being placed into 1-A, your teacher, one Shouta Aizawa, has left a note for your classmates:
There will be a Quirk Assessment Test at 1700 today, be prepared to utilise your Quirk to their fullest extent, or else you face removal from the program.
Best of luck in your studies and training, and welcome to your Hero Academia!’
Short and to the point. Perhaps that’s how everything is going to be here?
By the time he finished the welcome letter, he had arrived at his stop. He could see the towering walls of the school walking from the station. The entrance gate was bustling with activity. Parents and Students sharing moments, other students going about their business, and, judging by all the yelling he could hear down the street, numerous Pros there for unknown reasons. He navigated his way through the crowd and scanned his way in. A blue-haired girl with the 3rd years’ insignia on the uniform bounced over to Izuku.
“Are you part of Class 1-A?” she asked a flustered Izuku.
‘C-Close!’ He felt his cheeks burn a little in the cool air. He nodded quickly.
“Sweet! I’m Nejire Hadou, Third Year Heroics student, and one of UA’s Big Three! Oh yeah, I’m also the president of the Student Council! What’s your name, by the way?” Nejire asked.
“I-Izuku Midoriya.” he answered once he had a second to process the sheer energy radiating from the girl.
“Midoriya? Awesome, it’s nice to finally meet you! Mirio showed me the clip of you absolutely wrecking that Zero Pointer’s shit; I’ve never seen anyone make mincemeat of it like you did!” She floated up into the air and punched the air, mimicking what Izuku had done during his Entrance Exam, minus having a completely shattered arm, of course. “You know those things gave us hell last year?” She paused. “Oh yeah, I have one of your classmates with me, let’s go meet up with him and get you guys to your dorm.” She floated away, and Izuku ran to catch up with her.
She landed close by, thankfully, so Izuku didn't have to run far. She was talking with a blond-haired kid with what looked like a black lightning bolt in his hair. The kid looked over at Izuku.
“Did she give you a monologue as well, dude?” the kid asked in a slightly-thick American accent. Izuku shrugged. He wasn’t sure whether or not what Nejire said had qualified as a monologue. The three of them continued on, Nejire showing them all around the campus. Now that Izuku’s inside the campus proper, he’s realizing just how utterly massive it is. There are numerous training grounds, some inside a building, some outdoors. The other student he was with was just as marveled by the sheer size of the campus, but he was a lot more vocal about it.
“Crazy, huh?” the boy mused. “A few months ago we got a glimpse, a taste, of what this place had to offer, and here we are, mere ants in the presence of giants.” The boy looked over at Izuku, who was still staring at the campus around him.
“I’m Denki, by the way.” The boy introduced himself after a while.
“Izuku Midoriya.” Izuku couldn’t help but notice how relaxed he was around new people; it was like he was able to be himself for once in his life without fear of judgement. ‘It’s a fresh start for me. No one knows I'm quirkless!’
“So what’re your guys’ quirks?” Nejire asked suddenly. She was still floating and turned around to face the boys. Eyes wide, Izuku hesitated, but Denki jumped in and answered.
“My Quirk’s nothin’ special; it’s called “Electrification”, and I’m able to discharge electricity from by body, although my brain gets fried every time I overload myself.” Izuku furrowed his brow at that.
“You never managed to figure that out?” Izuku asked. Denki shrugged.
“I’d tried to see many Quirk specialists about it, but they seemed to think it was a problem with my body not being able to handle the wattage my body puts out. American doctors aren’t as qualified as Japanese specialists, apparently. Though it’s also hard to measure because the voltage changes based on what I’ve eaten or drank. So any tests were ‘inconclusive’. Whatever that means.”
“Wattage?” Izuku asked, his hand instinctively reaching for the notebook he kept close on his back.
“American?” Nejire, however, was intrigued by another nugget of information. “You’re American?”
“Unfortunately.” Denki lamented. ”I was born in Los Angeles, but my parents are Japanese. I graduated school over there, and used this acceptance to UA to move here to get a better grip on my Quirk, seeing as the ‘doctors’ over there are worthless. What about you, Nejire? What’s your quirk?”
“Mine? I call it “Wave Motion”. I can basically weaponize my stamina as wave blasts. Buuuuuut-” she did a backflip in the air, “I like to use it to fly around.” Izuku looked at her, stars in his eyes.
“That’s so cool!” He exclaims. “How does it use your stamina exactly? What do your wave blasts look like? Wha-” Izuku stops himself mid-sentence, embarrassed that he just started rambling in front of two people he just met not 10 minutes ago. “S-Sorry about that… I, uh… I have an obsession with quirks…” He apologized. Nejire, however, just waved him off.
“Oh, you too? Don’t worry about it, we like it when people are nerds here. Anyways, here we are!” She floated up, making a show of ‘revealing’ the massive dormitory. “Heights Alliance! This, along with the other 5 just like it, are specially designed for our Heroics students, meaning these babies are some of the most comfortable boarding in the entire prefecture! Come on, I’ll show you guys around inside!” She stopped flying and, once she landed, led the two boys inside the building.
“Okay, this room should be yours!” After Denki was shown his room on the 3rd floor, Nejire and Izuku came back down to the 2nd floor and stopped in front of a door. The only thing the door had on it was the number 9. He unlocked the door with his temporary pass and opened it to see a relatively barren room, containing only a bed, dresser, and a desk. He looked to the right and could see all of his boxes were neatly stacked by the wall.
‘Yeah, I think this is gonna be just fine for me.’ Izuku thought to himself.
“It’s surprisingly comfy for how small it is, to be honest. Now come on, I still got stuff to show ya!” Nejire exclaimed. She grabbed Izuku by the wrist and led the blushing boy to the elevator.
“M-My stuff!” Izuku cried out.
“You’ll have the next few days to get situated before the new year begins! Don’t worry, your uniforms are already in the closet!” She retorted cheerfully.
After the elevator stopped, Nejire and Izuku walked out, with the floater showing him around. “I told you these dorms are well equipped. So! Over here is the common area! It’s got couches, televisions, and plenty of hookups for games! Just- try to be quiet when you do, you don’t need complaints raining in on you.” She chuckled nervously. “Over here is the kitchen area! The staff try to keep the pantries stocked with everything you guys are going to need to keep yourselves healthy.” She floated over to a glass door towards the back of the common area. “This just got approved recently; every dorm now has a common gym, just in case you guys don’t feel like trekking down to the numerous training centers. And yes, they’re soundproofed, so if you want to work out in the dead of night, you can do it without waking up anyone in the rooms above you.” She informed Izuku, who peeked inside to see what he was working with.. “Anyways, I gotta go pick up more of your classmates! Feel free to get comfy down here, or you can go upstairs and unpack your room.”
Nejire left the dorm, and Izuku sat on one of the couches, finally giving himself a chance to breathe. ‘This place is incredible! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place like this!’ he thought to himself.
“Overwhelming, isn’t it?” A voice said, and Izuku turned around to see who it was. A tall girl with a huge ponytail walked down the hallway where the elevator to the girls’ wing was. “I can empathise with you, even I couldn’t anticipate seeing anything as well-equipped as our dormitory.” She sat down on the couch with Izuku. “My name is Ka-,” she coughed suddenly, “Yaoyorozu Momo, apologies. It’s a pleasure to meet you” She corrected herself, giving Izuku an easy smile.
“I-It’s nice to meet you as well. I’m Izuku M-Midoriya.” He responded, cursing himself internally for his stutter coming out. He stared at her blankly, trying to formulate in his head how to continue the conversation.
Momo continued talking. “I had no idea that UA’s accommodations would be so… small.” She mused. Izuku did a double take at that statement.
“S-Small?” he asked in disbelief. The rooms here were huge compared to what he had lived in all his life, and now he’s talking to someone who says it’s small?
“My room here is about the size of my second closet at my house.” Momo casually explained. “Apparently the movers had a hard time getting my bed to fit into the room.” She looked over at Izuku, who was staring off into the distance. “O-Oh, my apologies. I, uh…” she trailed off. She forgot she’s not among the higher class that she had spent all her life around. There was no need for her to be so snobby about everything anymore. “Sorry, Midoriya. I just grew up in an entirely different environment than what we’re in now.”
“Don’t worry about it, this is also a completely different experience for me…” Izuku changed topics. “What’s your quirk, i-if you don’t mind me asking?” he asked, pulling out a pencil and a notebook, fresh for his first year at UA.
“My quirk’s called “Creation”, and it allows me to make anything I wish as long as I know the molecular composition, and that it’s a non-organic compound.”
“Anything?” Izuku’s hand was already rapidly flowing across the lined paper.
“Yes. I mostly use it to create brass knuckles to augment my boxing. I’ve experimented with various other weapons, but-” Momo stopped her explanation when she felt the room grow colder all of a sudden. She looked to the other hallway to see a two-toned boy with a massive scar on his eye come down and make his way into the kitchen. “Hello, Todoroki.”
The boy, Shoto, apparently, didn’t say much, just grunting something in response, before disappearing from the kitchen and back upstairs. Izuku noted how casually Momo greeted him. Before he could ask about that, however, a familiar head of blond and black hair announced his presence.
“Ladies and gentlemen, live from Heights Alliance, it’s Saturday night!” he exclaimed, flopping down onto an adjacent couch. He flipped himself over. “Oh hey, Izuku. I see you’re getting yourself well acquainted here.” He teased, winking at the two. Izuku’s face blew up and he found himself stuttering.
“N-No, w-we just m-met!” Izuku stammered out while Denki laughed
Momo watched him flounder about and giggled at the poor verdant boy. It was cute, if Momo had to be honest with herself. Despite how chaotic everything was right now, with everyone moving in, Momo couldn’t help but love it. She, however, couldn’t help but be curious about what Deku had been working on while the three of them kept talking. She looked over at his notebook, and was astonished at the paragraphs and paragraphs of theoretical applications and potential avenues of growth for both hers and Denki’s quirks. ‘Oh my, everything’s so detailed… I only told him the simple explanation of Creation, and he’s already got theories for how exactly the elements are generated…’
Their fun was cut short when a loud yell echoed from the direction of the elevator. Momo looked over, and she could only see another blond storming towards where they were sitting.
“DEKU!”
