Sua was everyone’s dream girl. She was gorgeous and, best of all, perfectly fit Mizi’s type. The second she met Sua, she folded instantly.
The two met on a random Tuesday at Anakt High School. It was second period science, Mizi’s least favorite class. She once thought there was no possible way for that class to be likeable, until she got a new seatmate.
Was it by luck? Was it her destiny? Either way she didn’t care, she was more than ecstatic to be sitting with Sua. Even more than that, they were lab partners. Even the sheer thought of getting to talk to the girl of her dreams everyday excited her.
Surprise surprise, the duo got along instantly. In a matter of days, they were seen hanging out everyday. Those who hadn’t known anything thought they were dating.
Mizi loved Sua, that was the obvious part. Mizi was never the type to worry about things, she usually went with the flow. However, the fear of Sua not liking her back was eating her alive.
She only had one choice, make a move or forever hold her silence.
So she took a risk, a big one.
Mizi, gathering all of her confidence, asked Sua to meet her at a cafe after school to talk. Sua, extremely confused, decided to agree anyway. She didn’t expect anything crazy to happen.
The whole day Mizi was in full on panic mode. She was finally thinking straight, finally asking herself the big question: What did she like about Sua?
The obvious answer was that she’s pretty, she’s smart, she’s basically everything Mizi was not.
But on a deeper level, she was more than that. Was it the way she helped Mizi when she was stuck on homework? Was it the way she would tuck her hair back when she was focused? Was it the way she remembered every little thing Mizi said? Was it all of those? Mizi didn’t know, but she didn’t have time to think either. The hour was finally approaching, the hour that decided her fate.
Mizi anxiously waited at the cafe for Sua. She stared at the clock, and then her slice of cake, and back at the clock again. After what felt like eternity, Sua had finally arrived.
Mizi greeted her warmly like always, and Sua returned the favor. They talked for a bit, but there was no time for small talk. Mizi knew she had to ask Sua the big question, she couldn’t stall any longer.
So, she mustered up all her courage, took a deep breath, looked Sua directly in the eyes, and finally asked. She confessed her love.
Mizi felt a lot better after saying that, but Sua had yet to respond. Sua usually wasn’t one to hold her silence that long, and Mizi was getting more and more nervous as the seconds went by.
Suddenly, everything went blurry, and Sua slowly started fading away. Mizi’s head hurt like crazy, and she had no idea what was going on. She slowly was losing her consciousness, and she had no idea why. The next second, Mizi was wide awake on her bed. She was back in her room, not the cafe. After a couple of seconds, she finally realized. Sua wasn’t real, not in the slightest bit. She was the girl of Mizi’s dreams, literally.
