In the city of Inkton, there are many spirits that roam the streets, though Inkton isn't the largest hotspot for spirits and wisp, they still appear plenty. Thankfully the local populace have a fair share of exorcist and psychics who can solve these problems, some are more con men then spiritualist but others are true. As 1-in-600,000 individuals awaken the psychic power needed go combat these spirits, there are many exorcist and psychics in town. But this isn't their story.
On December 2nd the now 16 year old Robert Rait is celebrating his birthday with his family, suddenly he notices a odd looking floating fire in the corner of his eye, but he shakes his head and ignores it. Then later he accidentally bends a spoon somehow... Then he realized. And now today is the best day of his life.
The day after, he started experimenting with his new psychic powers. He then noticed an intense energy from his hands and realizes he is surrounded by a psychic energy. Starting to move things in his room with his telekinesis, he was really happy, really he was. He was always a rather talented person, he was smart, handsome, and quite athletic. Now? He's also a psychic too! And he was never really the humblest person. Even though he was smart enough go guess there were others like him, at the very least he's the strongest in the area, all he could think of were the words that he thinks describes him the "I'm awesome" (Though others would describe him as a "Egocentric Prick")
Afterwards he started using his powers for day-to-day life. From school to household chores and club activities. Hell he even stopped working out as much as he used tok. His life was perfect. He even learnt how to make barriers or how to empower his physicality using his energy. Though basic, him learning these techniques all by himself is a testament to his talent. But if anything Robert wanted to fly, though he has tried, he has failed everytime.
Anyways. Robert was living his best life. On the other side of this story, Robert's older brother, Hubert, wasn't having the best time. he himself is also a psychic, and he noticed Roberts spike in energy and spoon bending, he also felt Robert throwing things in his room while he was experimenting with their new powers. Hubert would've revealed himself a a psychic if it weren't for fact that Robert was trapped in his delusions of grandeur and that he was special (Statistically yeah but still). He even heard Robert say to himself "I'm 1-in-1,000,000" which made the older (and clearly more humble) brother sweat, considering that Rob was already a egocentric prick,so having someone like Robert have power like that is threatening. so Hubert decided to hide his psychic presence as much as he can, though it's impossible for psychics to hide their presence completely, but at the very least he can hide and store his energy to not be noticeable.
One day Robert was feeling a little angry and wanted to vent some of his emotions, so he got into a fight with some students from another school, and Rob wanted make it clear to them that they stood no chance against him. it was a group of 3 students. they were from Matte-black highschool while Robert was from Highlight highschool, the two schools were academic rivals. the student's from Matte-black accidentally bumped into Robert, and decided to bully him and beat him up because why not? Considering it was a 3v1 they weren't worried at all.
But Robert was feeling a little violent and if anyone asked, he'd say it was self-defense, so he wanted to go the extra mile, first he threw one into the wall. lifting the guy up with telekinesis and then throwing him to the wall. secondly, he blocked the punch of the other student then grabbing their face and slamming them into the ground. And dragging his face on the ground to rub some salt on the wound while saying "Geez you all are pathetic..." and then the last guy was running away, so he simply threw a rock at them. which then hit the guys head and knocking them out.
Robert felt real good after. but he made some enemies too, as those students made rumours and started talking about him, calling him "Blue-eyed Highlight" (He has blue eyes). these rumours spread like wildfire attracting other strong students and psychics who want challenge. and the prick knew this, but didn't care, he is strong Afterall. Some more students and a fake or real psychic or two here and there won't scare him. in his words "I'm Robert Rait and I'm Awesome".
