Work Text:
“Baby, I’m home.”
Jinsol pushed the door open with her shoulder, carrying two big grocery bags from the supermarket. She kicked off her sneakers and left them lying around in the hallway.
Yoona was sitting cross-legged on the rug in front of the sofa. A few thick textbooks and notebooks were spread out in front of her. She heard the noise, let out a small hum through her nose but didn’t look up. Her pen kept moving across the page at the same pace.
Jinsol dropped the bags in the kitchen, washed her hands, then wandered over to the sofa, already leaning toward Yoona out of habit. She had just finished working out, and the smell of sweat made Yoona frown.
“It’s hot.” Yoona stretched out an arm and blocked her girlfriend with an elbow. “You’re covered in sweat. Don’t rub on me.”
Jinsol pouted but obeyed. She sat close beside Yoona anyway and rested her chin on her slim shoulder, staring at the dense notes and diagrams on the pages.
“Still studying?”
“We have a group presentation next week.”
Jinsol looked at Yoona’s side profile right next to her. She got lost staring, then leaned in and kissed Yoona’s cheek with a loud smack. The surprise made Yoona’s pen slide across the page. She turned and glared at her.
“Sol, I’m reading.”
“I’m not stopping you.” Jinsol’s lips curled. Instead of backing off she leaned even closer and twirled a loose strand of Yoona’s hair between her fingers. “Our Yoona is pretty even when she’s annoyed.”
Yoona brushed her hand away. “Go put away the groceries and take a shower.”
“Yes ma’am.” Jinsol answered but didn’t move. She stayed glued to Yoona’s side, blinking at her. “What are we eating tonight? I bought chicken wings. You want fried wings or soup?”
“Whatever you want.” Yoona replied quickly.
“Whatever means nothing…” Jinsol muttered and leaned fully on her. “Yoona, pay attention to me a little. I was out the whole afternoon. Didn’t you miss me?”
Yoona had no choice. She sighed and put her pen down. “Sol-ah, how old are you?”
“Three.” Jinsol chirped and buried her face deeper into Yoona’s neck.
Her childish act made Yoona lose all irritation. She ran her fingers through Jinsol’s slightly damp hair.
“Alright. Shower and clean up. When you’re done we’ll fry the wings together, okay?”
“Okay.”
That finally satisfied Jinsol. She gave Yoona a quick kiss on the lips, then hopped up to sort the groceries. Yoona watched her walk away and shook her head, laughing under her breath.
The next day was the weekend. Yoona’s group met in the campus library to work on their presentation. There was a boy in the group named Gyumin. He was friendly and liked joking around to keep the mood light. At one point he got too excited while talking and leaned against Yoona. Yoona wasn’t used to casual physical contact but before she could move, he was already sitting upright again, so she didn’t think about it.
When she stepped out of the library, she pulled out her phone to text Jinsol about dinner. Before she could type, a sulky voice sounded behind her.
“Yoona.”
She turned and saw Jinsol standing a few steps away. Her hands were in the pockets of her hoodie. Her hair was messy, her mouth drooping, her mood clearly off.
“What are you doing here?” Yoona blinked. “Didn’t you say you were going to the convenience store with your friends?”
“I’m not going anymore.” Jinsol mumbled, staring at her shoes. “Who was that guy?”
“What guy?” Yoona was confused for a moment.
“The one in the library. The one who leaned on your shoulder.”
Only then did Yoona realize she meant Gyumin. Looking at Jinsol’s expression, she almost laughed.
“He’s in my group. Gyumin. We were discussing the assignment. He just leaned over for a second then sat up. It was nothing.”
“Nothing? You two looked pretty close. You were smiling a lot.” Jinsol puffed her cheeks.
Looking at her sulky face and eyes that clearly said I’m upset, fix it, Yoona felt both annoyed and amused. She started walking and Jinsol followed like a tiny tail.
“It’s normal to talk and laugh during group work. He’s just a classmate.”
“A classmate can lean on your shoulder like that?”
“Then what do you want me to do? Stop talking to any boys forever?”
“I didn’t say that…” Jinsol knew she sounded unreasonable, but the jealousy wouldn’t go away. She scuffed the ground with her shoe. “I just… didn’t like it.”
Faced with that look, Yoona couldn’t scold her. She knew it wasn’t about trust. It was pure possessiveness mixed with her childish temper. Yoona sighed and took her hand.
“Alright. Stop being jealous. You know I only like you.”
“Then you owe me compensation.” Jinsol brightened immediately.
“What compensation?”
“I don’t know yet.” Jinsol grinned and squeezed her hand. “But you made me unhappy so you have to fix it.”
“Jinsol, are you really three years old?” Yoona said, exasperated.
“Yes. Exactly three.” Jinsol nodded with confidence and swung their hands. “A three-year-old needs hugs and kisses from her girlfriend to calm down.”
“We’ll talk about it at home.” Yoona looked around, embarrassed, and dragged her toward the gate.
Once they got back to their apartment, Jinsol dropped her bag on the floor and wrapped her arms around Yoona from behind, pressing her face into her neck.
“You don’t know how annoyed I was when I saw him touch you.”
Yoona almost couldn’t breathe from how tight she was being held. “Loosen up a bit. I can’t breathe.”
Jinsol eased up but didn’t let go. Her lips brushed Yoona’s neck, making her squirm.
“Yoona, stay away from him next time.” She started whining again.
“I told you he’s just a classmate. Group work needs interaction.”
“I don’t care I don’t care. I’m still upset. You have to make me feel better.” Jinsol rocked her from side to side.
Yoona was dizzy. “Fine fine. I’ll make you a big dinner?”
“No.”
“Buy you that shirt you liked?”
“No.”
“Then what do you want?” Yoona gave up.
Jinsol snickered. “Punish you.”
“Punish me?”
“Of course. You made me jealous, so you have to accept the punishment.”
Yoona knew she wouldn’t win today. And truthfully she didn’t mind being fussed over by Jinsol.
“What punishment?” she asked, which was practically permission.
Jinsol’s eyes lit up. She leaned in until their noses almost touched. “I want to give you a strawberry.”
Yoona’s face turned red. She shoved her. “Are you crazy?”
“It’s only one.” Jinsol held her by the waist. “I’ll put it somewhere no one can see, please? Just one. After that I’ll stop being upset.”
Her lips brushed Yoona’s ear. “Please? Baby? Wife?”
That last word sent a shiver down Yoona’s spine. She couldn’t handle Jinsol when she acted like this. Her face burned. She nodded.
Jinsol grinned, grabbed her hand, and pulled her into the bedroom despite Yoona shouting in protest. Yoona fell onto the bed while Jinsol hovered over her, excited. She kissed Yoona’s lips softly, then trailed down to her chin and paused at her neck. That spot was thin-skinned and perfect for leaving a mark.
“Only one.” Yoona warned, breath uneven from the kiss.
“Got it.” Jinsol muttered, then stuck out her tongue and slowly licked the warm skin.
Yoona shivered at the wet touch. Then Jinsol pressed her mouth to the spot and sucked gently. A jolt of pain and heat shot through her. She let out a small sound and clutched the sheets. Jinsol seemed to enjoy it, adding light pressure with her teeth. One hand slid under Yoona’s shirt and ran along her bare back.
After a while Jinsol finally pulled back, admiring her work. Near Yoona’s collarbone was a clear, dark mark. She brushed it with her finger.
“Marked.”
Yoona was flushed and breathless. “You’re crazy. How am I supposed to meet people tomorrow?”
“Wear a turtleneck. Or you can stay home with me.” Jinsol laughed and kissed the mark again.
“In your dreams.” Yoona shoved her face away and fixed her clothes.
Jinsol clung to her from behind again, resting her chin on Yoona’s unmarked shoulder while watching their reflection in the mirror with a goofy smile.
Looking at that proud expression, Yoona’s embarrassment dissolved into helplessness. She reached up and ruffled Jinsol’s hair. “Not jealous anymore?”
“Nope.” Jinsol nodded hard and kissed her cheek. “All good. Our Yoona is the best.”
Now that the punishment was over, Jinsol was in an even better mood. She tailed Yoona into the kitchen, hugging her from behind or leaning on her shoulder, sneaking kisses whenever she could.
During dinner she fussed over Yoona even more, piling food into her bowl like a small mountain. After eating she washed the dishes while humming. Yoona sat on the sofa with her tablet but couldn’t focus. She touched the mark on her neck.
When Jinsol finished washing up and saw that, she hurried over. “Does it still hurt?”
“No.” Yoona shook her head.
Jinsol sat down beside her and pulled her into her arms. “I’m sorry, I’ll try not to get jealous like that again.”
Yoona looked up, surprised.
Jinsol spoke shyly. “I know I went overboard today. I’ll try to be more mature.”
Yoona wasn’t mad anymore. Seeing her reflect on herself so seriously only made her adorable. Yoona rested comfortably against her.
“It’s alright.”
“Really?” Jinsol looked down at her.
“Yeah.” Yoona pinched her cheek. “But if you do it again I’ll be mad for real.”
“I won’t. I promise.” Jinsol said quickly, then pressed her face to Yoona’s neck again. “But baby, you have to promise me too. Don’t smile beautifully at other people like that.”
Yoona bursted out laughing at her request. “Idiot, how can I control that?”
“Then don’t smile at all…”
“You’re unbelievable.” Yoona sighed, but didn’t push her away. She just kissed her cheek and patted her back gently.
