“Bye my sweet girl” Carol says as she gives Rindy a kiss on the cheek before buckling her into the back seat of her ex husbands car. “We’ll both miss you so much!” referring to Therese who was standing behind her.
“Bye mommy! Bye Tezz!” Rindy waves her small hand at them both as Carol shuts the door and the car drives off. They both stayed outside until the car vanished into the horizon.
“That’s that…” Carol breaks the silence as she turns around to walk towards their front door. Therese follows after her like a puppy, she senses Carol is upset, and so was she to be honest. She loved having Rindy around, she loved being like another mother to her. Sometimes she wished her and Carol had a child… of their own. Just theirs. Sure she loved Rindy like she was her own but she just can’t help but hope to one day have on of her own just with Carol.
“Say… Have you ever thought about…” Therese speaks nervously to her lover who was starting to cook them a quick supper. It was most likely going to be some of her amazing pasta which she knew Therese loved.
“What is it darling?” Carol was focused on her food, but she always had full attention on her darling angel whenever she was speaking.
“It was just a thought but… would you ever… I don’t know…” Therese fumbles with her words, she didn’t want to sound rude or anything because this could come out the wrong way, like she was telling her Rindy wasnt enough but that wasn’t it at all.
“I’m all ears angel.” Carol speaks with a soft tone, knowing how Therese would get nervous easily she didn’t want to scare her off.
“I was thinking about us… having a baby of our own…” The room stayed silent as Carol poured the pasta into 2 bowls. What if she hated the idea? What if she thought Therese was being greedy and didn’t want Rindy a child who wasn’t even hers? None of it was true so she had to clear it up. “Dont get the wrong idea about this!! It’s not like I’m not content with Rindy…! I just can’t help but wish I had a child rhat was ours… rhat lives with us forever and you know Rindy could be a big sister!” She says hopefully, looking at her lover who started setting the bowls down. Therese looked down, as if her question had been answered with a silent no. “Maybe it’s not a good idea… forget it-“
“No darling…” Carol strutted towards her and shushed her with her index finger against the younger woman’s lips. “I like the sound of that… I really do if your being serious…” Carol picks up the brunette beauty’s chin making her look into her cold yet soft grey eyes. “Do you want a child with me angel?”
Therese nodded, it’s all she could do, Carol made her so flustered. “I do… I really do.” Therese speaks with a hint of excitement in her voice. Carol smiles, looking down at her lover she held her cheeks before kissing her tenderly on the lips.
“Then we’ll look into it. Look for places to adopt?” Carol suggested as Therese nods, leaning into Carols touch.
“Perfect…”
