Chapter Text
“I’ll Cover You”
I’ve seen Stray Kids perform live twice. The first time was pure magic — surreal like a dream I wasn’t sure I deserved to be part of. Standing there, surrounded by thousands of Stays, hearing them sing, after listening to them from my phone for a few years, feeling their energy ripple through the crowd… it was more than a concert. It was a moment when the music and my heart aligned perfectly.
They gave me so much more than just incredible performances.
They gave me two girls — strangers at first — who have become some of my closest friends. One of them, I met again in London, and with her, I’ve shared tears, laughter, and the unspoken bond of being die-hard Stays together.
“Cover me, cover me…”
Those words echo louder now than ever before. I’m not just their fan — I’m their guardian in spirit. Their music wrapped me in a warm, fierce embrace during my darkest days. I remember crying quietly, clutching my phone, their voices like a shield against my own fears.
Even when the world felt cold and lonely, they whispered,
“Even when you fall, I’ll catch you, I’m right here.”
And that promise has never left me.
