Chapter Text

It isn't fair. It just isn't.

That thought is what kept spinning around in the mind of one Miles Bron. The man who co created the company Alpha and stole it from his buissness partner Andi. He was on top of the world. He had his own private island, was one of the wealiest men alive, and even had the actual mona lisa in his possession (or so he believed), but it wasn't enough for him. He wanted to revolutionize the world with Klear, a hydrogen-based alternative fuel that is incredibly dangerous. It ended up being his undoing as he powered his whole island on klear and the sister of Andi, Helen set a fire and used the klear to cause an explosion that destroyed his mansion on the island. Now, nobody wanted anything to do with Klear after that disaster and his friend group, "the disruptors" (despite being anything but) testified against him in court. He had a very good lawyer but it wasn't enough, and in september 26th of 2020, Miles bron was found guilty of murder, theft of intelluctual property, and wrongful termination and was sentanced to 20 years in prison. In that time after the Klear explosion and the trial, Alpha had gone bust. No one wanted to do buissness with them anymore, so when Miles does get out, he won't have his company to go back to. Miles is now on the bus taking him to prison. It is admittedley not the worst prison he could have been sent to. It's mainly a prison rick people are sent to, but it still is a prison. It's not some luxury resort that's just called a prison. There just won't be any thugs in there. On the bus, he is still thinking about how what has happened to him isn't fair.

Miles thoughts: (I was on top, and now I've lost it all. It's not fair. If it wasn't for that Helen, I wouldn't be here. I would still be running Alpha and my legacy would be culminated with Klear. Wait, no. She did the deed but she was working with Benoit Blanc. If he wasn't there to help her, she wouldn't have gotten close enough to do it. It's all his fault! HE SHOULD BE THE ONE BEHIND BARS! NOT ME! He will pay.)

Bus driver: We're here.

The bus had stopped. In front of it was the prison. Miles and the other inmates got out and were lead inside the prison. Miles was so angry looking around at the prison and seeing all the grey walls and hallways, the other prisoners eating nothing but mashed potatoes (which is all the prison served), and the cells, all he could think was how awful the next 20 years were going to be.

A guard then walked in front of him.

Guard: This cell is yours.

He opened the door and miles went in. The cell looked gross, like no one had cleaned it in years. There was a bunk bed but it looked hard and uncomfortable. He then heard a voice from somewhere in the room.

Stranger: So, you're my new cellmate?

He turned around, and saw a 30 something year old man, with a brown beard and brown hair leaning on the wall. He looked familiar but Miles couldn't remember from what. He didn't look friendly so Miles didn't want to get on his bad side.

Miles: It looks like it. And you are-

Stranger: My name is Ransom Drysdale. I will say it is not a pleasure to meet you. You're Miles bron, right?

Miles: Yes. Are you a fan of-

Ransom: No. I always hated your company and your baby face and whiny voice.

Miles: Well that's just rude.

Ransom: Well at least I don't try to hide what I'm like, like the rest of my family did, or like you did. If you're here you must have done something bad.
