Chapter Text
She awoke whit a ghasp, her chest heaving from a panic she didnt remember the source of, her head was pounding, and her body ached. She took a deep breathe, then another, then a few more until she could ignore the pains in her body. She blinked a few times to clear her vision while pushing herself into a sitting position, strange, as she didnt remeber going to bed last night. Or having pastel blue walls. was she remebering wrong? No, definetly not, her walls where bare, red brick. Not peeling blue wallpaper and plaster. Where the hell was she? She looked around, she was in a small room, with tile floors, and a few white cabinets. She turned her head to the left, having to twist her torso two, (wich sent a few twinges of pain up her spine,) as she couldn't see more than the wall whit just the movement of her neck, That was..strange, but, she decided not to dwell on it much, as she wanted to focus on getting out of this room as soon as possible, it was way too quiet, bearly any background noise, and it was creeping her out. It gave this place a lifeless sort of feeling, It was awful. Wich is why she decided to get up and search for a window, or door to get out This was remnding her of yesterday morning a bit...What even happened yesterday? It felt important somehow.. but she didnt remeber anything...Who even was she? It all felt really blurry, and made her head hurt
She hurried to move off of the hard, lumpy bed, she was slowed hoever by her legs being comprimised by a big, polkadotted blanket, wich she only noticed after she unceremoniusly fell on the cold tile floor. Her legs where twisted in the ugly thing so thourgly she was bearly able to move them, tho, she noticed when she did, it was whitout the strong zap's of pain that her knees usually gave her. It was a velcome change unlike the half-way vision she was suffering from currently. She reached down and started to untangle the blanket from around her legs, her limbs semed a little longer than she remebered, (tho if she was being honest, she didnt pay attention to herself nowdays, so she migth have forgotten how her body was in the past few months) she ignored it in favor of focusing on the ugly blanket keeping her legs trapped, she patted it, trying to find a begining to it. Eventually she found it after digging her hands between the blanket and her legs, and started to pull at it, only for it to rip away as she did so.
She blinked at the piece of metitrial that was in her hand, she didnt know how she did that. Because the last time she had strength to rip cloth was when she was still doing acrobatics, and that was almost two years ago whit a very cheap costume, and a bad attempt at flirting. Not a thick (and still really ugly) blanket. What the hell was going on?! first she wakes up it an unfamiliar and creepy room, can't see out of her rigth eye, her body isnt as its been for the past five months, and now her arms where exhibiting a strength she didint have before, even when she was active. She had the feeling she should find a mirror, because something was definetly not rigth whit her, phisically mostly, so there must be changes to her body if the way her hands where ripping the blanket just from her gripping it. Well, she didn't feel like untangiling it anyways. So she yanks her hands up in a quick motion and the ugly thing is shredded as her legs are finally set free, and she got to the part where she got up, and left.
After what felt like hours, wich most likely where just a few minutes, of struggiling, and some support from the bed, she was on her feet. She Laughed quietly, when her legs didnt give out immediately like they did when she stood whitout some sort of support before. It felt freeing. Mostly because she could run if whoever brougth her here was awake and or around. Tho maybe they where the reason for her knees not hurting. She may need to thank them then. Whatever. She needs to find an exit before whoever took her came back. Ploitness be screwed to hell.
She sifted her weigth from one leg to the other, testing to make absolutley sure she wasn't gonna crumble like a house of cards before she found the exit. Once she was reassured, she straigthened up, and as quietly as she could made her way to the door, she looked trough the mostly clean glass on the door. It seemed the room she was in was at the end of a long hallway. It was dark, and when she stepped out, she was hit whit the most repulsive, almost indescribable smell he poor nose has smelled. It made her nauseos, and consider just jumping out the window instead of finding a door. Wich, wasnt actually a bad idea now that she thougth about it.
She turned back, and hurried back to the window, and patted it for any opener whatever-they-called-them-in-english, unfortunetly, she inly found a keyhole, and when she puuled on it, it didnt even budge. She shighed and glanced to the hallway, then back to the window, then the hallway again. Would it be worth it if she just smahed the glass? The smell was making her lean twoards yes, but potentially cutting her arm open, and dying before she could get fresh air, or maybe a cigarette, made it feel like the only safer option was the terrible hallway.
She let out a groan, as she made her way around the small room to find something she could cver her mouth and nose whit. There wasnt much. tho she did find a few rolls of what looked like gauze rolls. They where thicker than a gauze roll tho, and yellowed. But, they smelled better than whateber was out there, and seemed good enough for the purpuse of dulling that smell in the hallway.
it took her a little while, but she eventually got the bandage strips around her face secruely, and during that discovering that: most of her was wrapped up in that same bandage stuff she found, they where covered in old blood, and that her ears where not the rigth shape, or even in the rigth place! What the hell happened while she was out, and how the hell did it end up whit her having big ass cat ears?? This situaton was so damn confusing, and maybe a little scary, but she was more frostrated than scared. Tho, she guessed she could come to terms whit somehow being a cat girl half dressed as a mummy when she got out of here, and into something other than pants and dirty bandages. She let out frustrated grumbles as she grabbed the biggest piece of the ugly blanket she could find, then took a deep breath, and hurried out into the horrid smelling hallway.
Thankfully, the face covering she improvised, helped whit the smell, it was duller, but still terrible. The hallway itself was in terrible shape, looking like a ransacked, abandoned hospital, whit cracked tiles, broken waiting room chairs, and a a few questionable stains on the walls and floor. She didnt know why a place like a fermented dead rat, and she didnt want the displeasure of finding out, so she focused mostly on the hallway, and being careful not to cut herself on anything as she searched for a way to the outside.
after walking for a while, climbing up and down a few stairs, and definetly starting to hallocinate noises of people, getting freaked out, and running into the first open dorway she saw, and slammed the door behind her to get away from it. The room she ended up in was freezing cold, and even more thrashed than the hallways. The floor was covered in papers, rotting wood chunks, a dented, metal drawer, a pile of metal and fabric that could have been a matress, and a pretty nice looking desk thatwas split down the middle. Wohever did that was either really angry, really strong, or both. However the most important thing, that there was a window shaped hole in the wall, leading out into a scenery covered in fog and snow. It was absolutley mesmerazing, and made her heart twinge whit nostalgia. aand she should probably stop standing in one place, and find something to cover herself before going out there. 'Maybe there was something in here? it kinda looks like a bed room-office-fight ring-turned rage room?' Her own thougths didnt help make sense of whatever this was. Whatever. She'll try doing logical thinking when she was not freezing her ass off, and away from here. And also not hallucinating from aches and paranoia.
Now, she wasnt the best at observaton, but, she really hoped her assumptions of this room once being somewhat like a bedroom office, was true, because she did not know where else she could potentially find clothing in here. Sure, her chest and lady bits where covered fully, and she freaking loved snow bathing, but not whit whatever wounds she had from-...
From what? She knew it must have been something bad due to the ridiculus amount of bandaging, and the fact her body was aching so much still. but it didnt explain why she was diffrent in the areas where she wasnt bandaged. But she blanked at what caused it. Like her mind was blocked off from thinking of it. It also seemed to like to punish her for it, as her head started hurting again. She groaned in frustrason and put her head in her hands, discovering she had soaked bandages over the whole left side of her face as well, wich made her groan even louder, almost bordering on a scream. Great. Just great. She was probably blind in that eye! Well...at least she knew why her head hurt? that was a positive, right? No, wait. That doesnt make anything better! She let out unintelagable noises, and started to pace, as her hands reached for her hair.
It wasn't long and thin like she was used to, but it didnt matter as she ran her hand trough the choppy, knotted locks that ended halfway down her neck. It was soothing, in a way, as she picked out the knots slowly, and stopped pacing to sit down on an intact part of the mattress to rest her legs, and focus on her hair. It was kinda discusting, caked whit things she didnt wanna think about, but she managed to get it into a state where she could run her hand trough it, and by then, she was calm, but also pretty tierd. Even tho she just woke up, about an hour or so ago? Maybe? Whatever. It was dark enough, and the intact piece of the bed was pretty soft, and big enugh to curl up on- She'll search for clothes in here when she woke again.
She flopped down, her limbs hanging off of the piece of bed, (it was a damnn comfortable position, dont judge her) closed her eyes-uh Eye and felt a wave of relief wash over her as she felt her conciussness slip. Who knows, maybe she'll wake up back to normal...She didnt relly remeber it good, but she hoped.
She was rudely woken up from her rest by something cold smacking down onto her chest, she let out a grunt, but refused to move from her comfortable position. Who she assumed was the one causing the cold pressure on her chest said something in a sligthly shaky voice. It kinda sounded like english, but also not really, but she didnt have the want to understand it. She grunted again, as the person shook her. She hated being woken up, much less whit some random person shaking her by what little boobs she had, even tho this was the first time it actually happened.
She let out a displeasured moan when the person gapped on harder and started saying something about not leaving them. It was so sad she decided to respond whit some words of her own. "Ne mog by ty, pozhaluysta... perestat' trogat' moyu....sinitsa?" She muttered, (her voice scratchy and rough, but sounding way too young to be her own. It was wierd, but she was getting used to the suprise diffrences.) the pressure didnt ease off of her, however the shaking finally stopped and she lifted her heas to look at whoever was shaking her. What she saw made her eye go wide, also feeling a sligth twitch from her covered one.
It was a boy. A young looking, tan skinned, round, golden eyed boy. His hair was dirty, somehow dirtier than hers, it was in messy overgrown dreads, and had a greyish white color, his face was splattered whit dark freckles, his rabbit like nose was mostly flat, she could tell, even whit the thick bandage covering most of his nose up. His big, furry ears stood straigth up when they made eye contact, and he gave her an excited, hopeful grin. She just stared at him, feeling akwardness creeping up on her as he continued to lean on her before there was the sound of yelling coming from behind the door. The rabbit boys ears shot up, and his eyes widened. He quickly got off of her, and gestured frantacly whit his hands, seemingly gesturing 'COME ON! GO!' She had a guess as to why he was so frantic, butr she didnt wanna find out for herself what it actually was, so she hopped up, stumbling a bit before the boys hand grabbed her wrist and started tugging her twoards the hole leading to the outside, before starting to run twoards, and out of it. She followed, tripping and stumbling a bit on her feet, as she ran whit him to whoever knows where.
