Chapter Text
What's the point? You've been missing someone who's now out of reach. You keep hurting yourself by holding on to the feeling of hope. Why are you still hoping?
You've already tried convincing yourself that you're moving on.
...
Except, you really can't.
Here you are, in your dimly lit room, looking helpless while sitting on the bedroom floor. You have your back leaned against the frame of your bed. With your phone in hand, your thumb is hovering above the screen. You open your messages, and the bright light from your phone makes you flinch, but by then, you're greeted by the open messages between you and Denki. Your eyes blankly read the time stamp of the last message '10/28/25'. One month ago.
The last message was from you too.
You groan as you throw your head back, the back of your head hitting the soft mattress. "I shouldn't miss him." You whispered as you shut your eyes. Then suddenly, an image of him flashed in your mind. Immediately, you slap your face with both hands and slowly let yourself slide down to the floor.
Just talk to him.
If only it were that easy.
Every time you see him, every time you both lock eyes, an ache stirs in your chest. The aching feeling of someone unreachable anymore.
After a good minute of curling yourself up like a cocoon, a knock on the door made you sprawl out. No one must see you pathetically drowning in your thoughts over a boy. Who, was once your boy.
The door creaks open, a small ray of light peaking through the door. Your mom finds you lying on the floor but she doesn't question. Except for the fact that she was bearing news that you were absolutely not ready to hear.
"Honey, It's Denki."
What...
