Work Text:
Jason was excited to go out.
There was this cute little market near his and Percy’s apartment in crime alley that, surprisingly, had not been broken into.
He zipped up his jacket and turned to face Percy, who had his jacket, a dark blue, his hat, scarf and mittens matching the jacket.
Percy lifted an eyebrow at Jason, who was only wearing a red jacket and boots.
He looked down at himself, then back at his boyfriend with a smile, “I’ll be fine,” he stated. Percy just shook his head with a smile and held out his hand for Jason to grab.
The taller man grabbed it, and together they were out the door of their apartment and down to the streets of Gotham.
—
“It’s cold,” Jason hissed, as the wind blew at his hair. Percy let out a laugh beside him, his air also being tossed by the wind, but he didn’t mind it, “should have brought a hat,” he laughed beside Jason.
Jason just flipped him off, which got Percy to laugh more.
Jason grumbled; it wasn’t even his ears or neck that were cold, it was his hands.
Percy laughed again as he grabbed Jason’s hand, his mittens wrapping a warmth over his right hand while his left hand was in his jacket.
Percy seemed to notice his hands shaking and took off his gloves and tried to hand them over to Jason, who was surprised, “I can’t take your gloves!” He hissed as he pushed Percy’s hands back. Percy rolled his eyes, “Jace, I can’t get cold. I’m meant to live at the bottom of the ocean, take my dam gloves,” he smiled to Jason as he pressed the mittens into Jason’s hand, who, after a moment, put them on. The warmth in them is enough to chase away the cold that winter brought.
He grabbed his boyfriend’s hand again, and they continued their browsing.
