Work Text:
Ingo was sat hunched at his desk, he couldn't focus one bit.. His head hurt, his stomach hurt, he was clammy and sweaty. At this point he was just suffering in his own personal hell. He really wanted to get his work done though, Ingo was afraid of disappointing Wariai, especially since he had no idea what she would even do if she found out he was slacking off..
But he could barely function in this state! Wariai shouldn't be mad if he took a few hours break, right...? He sighed, and got up from his desk, instead of going to bed like he should have, he went to the bathroom.
Upon his arrival, Ingo looked at himself in the mirror. God he looked like absolute shit at the moment, not surprising, he felt like it too. A sharp pain then shot through Ingo, causing his breath to hitch as he leaned on the sink.
please..please don't throw up I do not need to deal with that at the moment, plus Wariai might kill me if I accidentally get blood and or vomit everywhere..
Ingo's pleading didn't exactly help, he ended up throwing up, blood mixed in it too.. Totally not worrying at all! He whined a little, not enjoying the feeling of his clothing being covered in blood and sick.. God lord Wariai is gonna kill me for good now.. He thought, standing still and staring into complete nothingness for a moment before leaving the bathroom and plopping himself onto his bed, yawning a little. Deciding to actually attempt to sleep for once, Ingo then made himself comfortable and closed his eyes, finally catching up on sleep for once.
Well that's what he thought for about 20 minutes before opening his eyes again.
Ingo whined a little, sleep wasn't helping at all. His head just hurt more and he felt sweaty.. Being sick reminded him of his childhood, he missed his mother's comfort when she used to care for him.
There was a replacement though, Wariai.. But she's probably busyyy, don't wanna disturb her..
Why was he thinking like this? He wasn't a child..! But he missed the parental comfort and Wariai was the closest to his mother at the moment..
--------------------------------
Wariai was busy in her office, sorting out whatever paperwork she had left over from the last meeting with the staff. It was a little boring, but it was her job.. Her train of thought was then disturbed by the door opening, she spun her chair around to find Ingo stood there, and he looked absolutely pitiful..
" ' Ingo..? You okay? Because you don't look like it.. ' " She questioned, walking over to the shorter male and tilting his head for him to look up at her.
Ingo said nothing in reply, only hugging Wariai which surprised her to say the least. Although she didn't reject the hug, returning it and bringing Ingo closer to her. " ' Don't feel like talking, huh..? ' " she asked, messing with Ingo's hair, which got her to notice how messy and unkept it was. For a very influential and powerful man, Ingo can be extremely pathetic if he wants to..
Ingo on the other hand, was having extremely conflicting thoughts.
Why did I hug her? I'm not five.. But she returned it.. So she can't be mad, right?
But were disturbed by Wariai's soft voice, " ' You should really tidy up your hair, it's gonna get matted extremely easily.. Not to mention the fact you quite literally have dried throw up on your shirt, so from that.. I'm guessing you're sick.. ' " she sighed, her tail flicking in small annoyance. She hated how stupid Ingo could be at times, it didn't matter at the moment, what she needed to focus on was taking care of Ingo.
Wariai had taken Ingo to the bathroom, where she currently was filling up a bath for him. Whilst the two were waiting, Ingo spoke up. " ' Y-You didn't need to do all thiss.. ' " Ingo pouted, sounding like a small child which Wariai didn't seem to mind at all, as if she was used to it. " ' Ingo.. You need someone to take care of you in this state, you're in a fragile mindset from what I can see and on top of that, you're ill.. ' " she challenged, turning off the faucet to the bath now that it was ready. Wariai then looked over at Ingo who seemed very disinterested at this idea, funny since this is the same person who always presents himself as perfect. " ' Do I have to thoughh.. ' " he asked, sitting down on the floor next to the bath, looking up at Wariai. In which, she replied with " ' You're going to have to because first, you're insanely sweaty and second you literally have vomit on you from the last time you threw up.. I'm not leaving you like that. You can just take off your shirt, we only need to wash the top half anyway and I doubt you would be comfortable not being atleast half covered up ' " Wariai went on, which Ingo was more or less just staring into nothing in reply before snapping back to reality, and took off his shirt, revealing some top surgery scars, not exactly surprising to Wariai though.
Once Ingo was actually in the bath, Wariai began to wash Ingo's hair, which was surprisingly longer than she had expected, being gentle to not hurt him. Whilst Wariai was running her fingers through Ingo's wet hair, he spoke up " ' You're like my mama.. She used to do this alot.. ' "gosh he sounded vulnerable, he really was a child stuck in an adult's body. Wariai paused for a moment, she had heard about Ingo's mother alot from him, Asaka.. was it..? From what Ingo had told her in the past, Asaka was extremely caring despite her husband's absence. She cared so much for her son, the downside being her.... Nevermind.
After finishing with Ingo's hair, Wariai moved down to Ingo's upper body and arms, although Wariai noticed a few... Not even a few, a lot of scars on his arms. She didn't say anything about them, she didn't want to disturb Ingo with that kind of conversation. He was fragile.
-------------
" ' WARIAIII... IM NOT FIVEEEUHHH ' "
" ' You may NOT be five physically but mentally, you probably are.. So let me give you this medicine and you'll feel better ' "
" ' ... It tastes baddd ' "
God, Ingo is such a difficult child when he wants to be.. Wariai sighed, she wasn't gonna shove the medicine down his throat, that would probably make the guy sob knowing how sensitive he is.
" ' Yes, it tastes bad.... But it helps you feel better.. So take it ' " She said, hoping THIS would convince the little guy to take the medicine. Low and behold, somehow.. That got the kid to tear up, god Wariai how the hell did you mess up THIS badly with being gentle. " ' Ingo.. Don'tt.. Please ' " she pleaded, that proved false though. Ingo sobbing for about 5 minutes before Wariai went " ' You done yet...? ' " petting Ingo's head lightly, which in reply Ingo leaned into the touch, atleast it bought her some time to slip the medicine in. Mission success for ONCE.
Taking care of a needy child has its limits certainly..
Wariai sighed, now sat on her bed with Ingo next to her, brushing his hair so he didn't have to do it himself. She couldn't lie but, she was enjoying taking care of Ingo. Yeah he was a nuisance at times, but she still loved him as if he was her own son. " ' momm... I'm tiredd.. ' " Ingo whined, clinging onto Wariai as he yawned. Wariai was once again a little startled by the sudden hug, but she couldn't decline it.. That would be cruel. She returned the hug and brought Ingo into her lap, running her hand through the shorter male's hair.
Soon, Wariai noticed the slowness in Ingo's breath, she smiled a little. As long as she was here with Ingo, nothing could ever go wrong.
Not a single thing.
