Wemmbu tried to wear invis all the time, but around his friend, it didn't feel necessary.
Obviously, Eggchan was not the only person in the end. And nobody knew that he'd faked his death, other than Egg and Minute. But as long as he stayed within Egg's secret underground bunker, he'd be fine.
"So, uh, how's life?" Wemmbu asked, surprised by how awkward he felt. How long had it been since he talked with his best friend.
"Uh, it's been fine bro." Egg said. "So, how's the invis been?"
"It's been… weird." Wemmbu answered honestly. "I joined the Capitol City guard, but I can't murder people without exposing my identity, which is kinda lame, but whatever. At least it's something interesting to do."
"So yeah, how has your scientific research been?"
"Well, I'm trying my best, bro." Egg said. "But it's been real hard with me being stuck in the end. I can't even attend any conferences, bro."
"Oh, uh, that sucks." Wemmbu said awkwardly, knowing that he was the indirect cause of this.
"And ever since Flame defeated Minute in battle, there's been no wifi here. Ever since you stopped bringing me scientific papers, I haven't been able to do anything."
"Uh…" Wemmbu fidgeted with his crown.
"This dimension is nice and chill, but it's hindering my scientific research. How am I supposed to be a proper historian if I can't even witness history? Nobody's come to visit me in like, 2 months."
"Sorry." Wemmbu said. "I've just been… really busy. I'll get you out soon, okay?"
"Bro, ain't no way you're traveling all the way back to the farlands just to save me." Eggchan said. "I'm happy enough here, and it's better when I'm not being taken hostage constantly."
"I don't know." Wemmbu said. "Now I feel bad. I don't want you to be limited in your research, I know how important it is to you."
"It's fine, bro." Egg said. "You don't owe anything to me, keep living your life normally. It's nice here, anyway. I've been having a good time fishing and farming. There gotta be someone to keep this place intact and repair damage caused by bandits."
"Uh, if that's what you say, sure." Wemmbu said uncertainly. "So, I guess I'll just get going?"
"Yeah, that's fine dude. Come by to visit and bring some research, okay bro?"
"Yeah. I'll do that." Wemmbu said, resplashing invis and beginning to mine out of the bunker.
