Summary:
Lucy is staying at Tim's - for safety purposes only - but one look at her and Tim begins coming undone.
Notes:
I can't believe it's the last day of @thedrabblecollective's November Drabble Challenge - and even more, I can't believe I managed to write one for every single day! This has been so much fun! I'm honestly sorry to see it end. But it's really got me back into writing, and for that, I'm so grateful!
Work Text:
Tim stepped into the living room, half expecting to find Lucy insisting she didn’t need to stay at his place. Instead, she was on the couch wearing his flannel, sleeves swallowing her hands, looking at him with tired, uncertain eyes.
For a moment, he forgot about the threat outside, forgot every reason she shouldn’t be there. All he saw was her – wearing his shirt – and it felt so painfully right.
She flushed - “Sorry, I just needed something comfortable.”
Tim swallowed hard. “No,” he managed. “It’s… fine. You’re safe here.” He hoped she heard everything he didn’t say.
