Work Text:
It was quite the not-so ordinary day for Gabby and Pandy at the dollhouse,
Well, more specifically in the Kitty Care Ear: they had just tucked the babies in to sleep after such chaos,
Pandy laid on the beanbag, "Finally, they're all asleep now!"
Gabby nodded while rocking the crib gently, "Yeah, taking care of these little ones are definitely not easy: but it was worth the effort!"
"I feel kind of tired by all of this babysitting. I hope Gabby isn't planning anything else for us to do: I really wanna have some time for myself,"
Pandy stood back up and brushed his arm, "So, uh, what are we going to do after all of this?" he asked.
Gabby thought for a moment, "Well, I was thinking of returning back to human-size. I have some assignments to do for school,"
"But it's alright if you want to stay here for a bit! I can use my pinch-pinch magic to turn you back to your stuffed animal form whenever you feel like it," Gabby added her sentence: Pandy didn't even answered yet,
He looked at her quite surprised, "How did you know that I was thinking of wanting to stay here for--"
Gabby shushed him for being too loud, then chuckled quietly, "Well, you're my best friend after all: you looked like you needed some time for yourself,"
Pandy giggled a little, "That's for sure! And yea, I definitely need some time without you for a little, that's fine right?"
Gabby nodded and went to Pandy to give him a hug, "Call or approach me if you're done staying here, alright?"
Pandy gave Gabby a thumbs up, "You got it, Gabby!"
Gabby stepped back as she pinched her headband: transporting herself out of the Dollhouse.
Pandy sighed,
"I think I should get some nice, fresh air after all that: a little breather couldn't hurt,"
he looked at the cribs, and tip-toed his way to the Cat-A-Vator while making sure the babies are still asleep,
"Phew, glad I didn't startle any of them..." Pandy thought and quietly said to the Cat-A-Vator,
"To the Fairy Tail Garden!"
--
DING! The Cat-A-Vator stopped at the Fairy Tail Garden.
Pandy stepped out of the Cat-A-Vator and noticed Kitty Fairy at the distance,
"Hey, Kitty Fairy!" Pandy greeted her as she turned to him,
"Why hello, Pandy!" Kitty Fairy noticed him being all alone, without Gabby.
"Oh, are you here to get some nice, fresh air once more?" she asked,
Pandy nodded, "Yeah, me and Gabby had to babysit all the little ones at the Kitty Care Ear earlier: they're being extra fussy today!"
Kitty Fairy chuckled, "Well, having to take care of something is definitely not easy. And I'm glad you're able to get some rest now!"
Pandy nodded, and Kitty Fairy added up, "Oh, right. That reminds me: I still have a couple of things to do around the garden before I get to finally nap!"
"I should get going, have a nice rest Pandy!" she flew around him and went elsewhere: still in the garden, for sure.
"Hmm... I think I should just walk around the garden first," Pandy thought as he started walking around the garden,
The entire garden itself was peaceful in these times: if not, always.
The breeze felt perfect, sounds of nature rang in the ear, even the magical scenery of the garden itself helps to balance it all.
Pandy followed the path around the garden, smelling the fresh air and looked around at the little butterfly that had just passed him,
"Hi-- Oh, bye little fella!" he waved at the butterfly as it flew away,
And then, he looked in front of him and stopped near the pond,
Where he saw... Marty?
He was just staring down from the bridge: whether he was zoning out or staring at the water reflection, Pandy was unsure,
Huh, what is he doing here? I don't think I've seen him being alone around here before...
Out of curiousity, Pandy approached to Marty, wanting to know what he was up to,
"Hi, Marty!--"
Marty yelped: he got a little startled,
"—Oh, it's just you, Pandy. I- Sorry, thought it was something else..." Marty looked at Pandy, who was apparently beside him,
"Anyways, hiya! What made you visit here?" Marty taps his little paws on the bridge's handrails,
Pandy sighed, "I'm just trying to get my mind off of a troubling situation I just had experienced..."
Marty gave him a concerned look, "Aw, what happened earlier pal?"
"He's really curious, huh?"
"—If you don't mind telling me, that is!-" Marty added up when he noticed Pandy looking a little pressed,
He went a little closer to Marty, putting his paws on the handrail,
"It's not a big deal: just had to babysit the little ones at the Kitty Care Ear, they're being extra rough today!" Pandy responded as he puts his arms on the handrail and looked down to his reflection at the pond,
"It definitely wasn't easy yet I did managed to finish my task with Gabby: but all that babysitting made me feel pressured, you know?"
"I see..." Marty glanced at him a little before staring at the pond,
The calming breeze of the garden took over the conversation for a little: they both stared at the beautiful view of the garden,
"... So what are you doing at the garden, Marty?" Pandy puts his head on the handrail,
Marty looked at him back, "Got a little... overstimulated being in the Party Room for a while. And I had to come here so I could feel a little more comfy with my surroundings: even this Party Cat needs some peace and quiet,"
"Huh, are you not used to being here?" Pandy curiously asked: he doesn't seem to understand what he meant by that, (he's innocent ok..?)
Marty looks at him, surprised,
"No, it's not that! It's just..." he paused,
"... Nevermind," Marty puts his paw on his arm,
Pandy nodded: he understood that Marty wasn't comfortable with it,
"Hey, why don't we go to that area with those flowers over there?" Pandy pointed to the little lawn with a couple of daisies near it,
"Maybe we could relax for quite some time together before I return back to my regular self!" he continued,
Marty nodded, "I don't see why not! I was thinking of having someone to accompany me, anyways,"
They then went off the bridge and head towards the grassy lawn,
Pandy threw himself backwards onto the lawn, looking quite relieved and taking a deep breath as he laid down,
"This is more like it!" he thought,
Marty giggled as he laid down beside him, "Judging by the looks of it, you seem to enjoy this spot a lot, huh?"
"Yeah. I usually go here whenever I wanna relax because it's quite cozy, has a nice shade by this huge tree, and I can just lay down peacefully!" Pandy explained as Marty glanced at him for a little,
"Mhm, yea. I can see why you like it so much!"
Both of them then gazed at the bright blue sky while laying down: despite the fact their view was a little covered by the tree's leaves.
Marty tried covering the clouds with his paw then puts it back down,
Pandy stared at him, chuckling at what he just did.
While at it, they did have some small talks and couple more of... gazing: but that's what makes it relaxing for them!
--
After some time lying down (Pandy even ended up closing his eyes: being too comfortable), Marty sat up and observed his surroundings,
He then collected a couple of daisies from the ground by stretching his arms,
Pandy took a peek after he heard some sort of grass noises,
"Hm? Why did he sat up?" Pandy wondered: he sat up as well,
"What are you doing, Marty?" Pandy curiously looked at Marty,
"Making a small daisy crown!" Marty tried connecting the daisies together,
Pandy looked at it: "Woah! Marty can do these kind of stuffs too?"
Not long after, Marty finished the little daisy flower crown!
"Ta-da!!" He showed it to Pandy,
His eyes sparkled, "That's a-meow-zing, Marty!"
"Thanks!" Marty chuckled,
"I never knew you could make that," Pandy examined the flower crown he was holding,
"If I can make anything from balloon, it's no surprise if I could also do something like this!"
Both of them giggled,
Marty didn't get to try out the crown on himself before Pandy stood up,
"Alright, I think I'm feeling extra better now! I should get back to Gabby: It's nice relaxing with yo--"
Marty held his paw, "Take this with you!— Actually wait, I'll make one for Gabby too!"
He picked up his spare daisies and quickly made the flower crown (Well, show logic: they all craft things too fast),
"You can't let a memorable rest go to waste!: even if it lasted short,"
Marty stood up and puts one flower crown on Pandy's ear,
He stepped back a little, "Don't worry about mines, I can make another!"
Pandy fixed the position of his crown a little, "Hehe— Thanks, Marty! And I also want to thank you for making me feel better: even though I was planning to just relax on my own,"
Marty smiled, "No problem, Pandy pal! You, too, did help me feel more comfortable here,"
Pandy gave Marty a little hug, "It was really nice hanging out with you: I hope we could do this once more!"
