It was a nice day, the sun shining brightly, the vibrant atmosphere in the city, Kita had just finished her guitar lessons with Hitori, and they walked out together; just a normal day, it seemed.
Hitori and Kita had just finished guitar lessons together, and they were walking to practice. There was a long awkward moment of silence, waiting to be broken.
They were near the STARRY live house at this point, but halfway through, Kita suddenly stops, with Hitori jolting back a little at her sudden actions.
Kita looks at Hitori, and they make eye contact for a bit, but it is broken very quickly, and Hitori quickly looks away after noticing that. Then she hears Kita say something:
"Hitori-Chan, I want to go to your house again!" Kita exclaims.
Now, Hitori is very surprised at the sudden topic, and she starts to freeze up, just the two of them?! What are they gonna do?! As she is lost in her thoughts, her mouth opens up, and suddenly blurts out the words "yesyoucan".
Kita lets out a little giggle at Hitori's words. "Really? That's great! Let's walk together after practice! Pleasee?" Kita replied happily.
Hitori and Kita walk into the live house, getting ready to practice for the gig.
"Is everything all set?" Nijika asks
"We need to make sure we can play our best tomorrow! Okay?"
"Yes, we are! Ready as always." Kita responds
They begin to play, and the song they practice is "Milky Way" for a new mini album they'll release.
An hour later, they finished rehearsing all the songs in it, but Hitori noticed something a little odd with Kita's playing, she wasn't playing, it was slightly faster than usual, she was surprised Ryo and Nijika didn't notice this, she decided to ask her about it later when they're walking together...if she even could gather up the courage for that.
Kita hoped nobody noticed it. She was quite tense and worried that her playing was getting worse. She felt that her playing wasn't keeping up with them anymore.
"That concludes practice! Goodbye everyone, stay safe on the way home!" Nijika cheerfully says.
"thanks, can you perhaps give me money to go home..?" Ryo asks
"Oh, it's not like you're actually poor or anything, use your bass money or something..?"
"i spent it all on food...i needed it, i was very hungry."
"Oh fine, like how much yen do you need?"
"Maybe ¥700?" Ryo's eyes light up at the opportunity.
"Fine, just pay me back!"
Nijika hands Ryo the money.
"thank you, may your days be blessed and your life be great."
"Whatever.." Nijika quietly mumbles
"Anyway.. we'll just head out the door, I guess?" Kita says
Hitori and Kita walk out the door, going home.
"I can still go to your house, right?" Kita asks again, to be sure
"N-no worries! It's uh, okay, really! I'd like that." Bocchi says as an impulse, though she did agree with what she says.
"Don't worry, no need to be scared, I wanna practice more!" Kita says, reassuring her
"O-okay.." Hitori replies
"Oh yeah...speaking about practice, I heard you playing. It was a bit...off from the usual.. Not that it's bad or anything! I just wanted to make sure you knew.."
Kita disregards it for now, with the steps getting louder with the ever-growing silence.
After walking, they make it to Hitori's home.
She opens the door and lets Kita in
They silently walk to the room
As they enter the room, they both enter her closet, taking a seat.
"Hey... you didn't answer my question earlier. What's wrong?" Hitori asks her
"It's just that.. I feel like I'm getting worse! I tried playing earlier before practice, and during your lessons, it felt harder to do anything...like I couldn't play like I used to." Kita replies
"I think you need a break...this happened to me as well, it might be you hit a roadblock, or are burning out, I think...w-well don't take my word for it! I-I'm not an expert, so I might not be right.."
"It's alright, I'll try! But how did you get through with it, band stuff..?"
"Well, I wasn't, uhm...a part of the band yet when I experienced that."
"Oh... I guess I'll try asking them instead. Maybe they can give me a break to recover... but for how long usually?"
"Uh...I'm not sure, maybe you can go for 5 to 10 days...?"
"That's quite a while, but I want to ensure that I can play as soon as possible, I'll update you guys!"
After a bit of conversation, Nijika gets a notification on her phone, it's a message from Kita?
"Hey! Is it okay that I can take days off? I haven't been feeling better lately, I'm starting to feel like I'm getting worse at guitar."
Nijika looks at the phone, quite surprised, but also understanding. She typed out her reply to Kita:
"Yes, you can! Take all the time you need, I don't want any of my bandmates getting tired out there :)" Nijika then presses send
Meanwhile, Hitori and Kita are talking to each other, and Kita gets the notification back
"Hey! It's the notification!" Said Kita
Kita reads the reply out loud, and she lets out a small sigh of disappointment
"Does that mean we won't get to see as often?"
Hitori is quickly flustered by her remark
"Ah! Uhm, I- I think so, we'll only get to see during guitar lessons..."
Kita is a bit sad about it because she forgot to tell her
"I won't be going to either of the guitar lessons."
Hitori was taken aback by her remark.
"We won't meet?"
"No... I mean, I'll still invite you to hang out! Don't take it the wrong way."
Hitori gives her a smile of reassurance
"It's okay!"
"I-I'm going now." Kita said
Kita walks out the door while she is blushing so hard that her face is as red as her hair.
I guess it was awkward, Kita takes the train home, thinking that she should go rest instead. But she can't get Hitori off her mind.
Hitori-Chan...how can I tell her? She might wanna leave me!
Kita shakes it off, still can't believe that she went to Hitori's house.
"I guess I'll go to sleep...I need to rest! I can't get distracted like this...I also have school tomorrow." Kita murmurs quietly
She closes her eyes, drifting asleep
Tomorrow will be laid back, she will go to school, maybe hang out, and rest.
The sun is out. 6:30 AM, Kita has woken up for school.
Ugh...2 more minutes
Kita takes a nap, but she wakes up at 7:00 AM this time.
Its already seven?! I need to be quick!
Kita eats her breakfast, changes clothes to get ready for school,
"Bye mom, love you!"
She walks out the door, now going to school, but there was something in her mind she couldn't quite forget
Hitori-Chan..I'm so sorry for this
I think I love her?
I'm not sure, what feeling is this?
Kita is in confusion, but as she finally reaches the school, 8:13 AM, she sees Hitori running, then she tries to catch up to her just to greet her before they go to class
"Hitori-Chan! Wait up, I'm here!"
Hitori was surprised, Kita?? I mean..I guess she can't complain about it, after all, who doesn't like Kita by their side
Hitori tries to speak, but the only word that could come out is "Hi"
"Hitori-Chan, let's go to class together?"
I want her to be with me...maybe I could ask about that? But that would be very awkward! Hitori isn't good with those types of things
"Uhm, uh, yes! Why not?"
Aghhhh! What have I done...I'm gonna get hunted down by her friends because shes spending more time with me...I'm scared
Hitori is paranoid, funnily enough, they didn't notice, in fact, the day went on as usual, but Hitori had herself prepared for the worst, she even brought her stuff to the hiding place, with her growing anxious in class
Its scary out there...I don't wanna die! I love Kita, but this is overwhelming to handle! Hitori thought to herself
Maybe if I ran away, I don't have to face consequences!
While Hitori is in class, shes very paranoid of Kita's friends in her class, maybe they'll hunt her down, though they don't even notice her
Kita, is in class as usual, though quite sad she won't be with Hitori for a few days, but that will not let her day down, she has things to look forward to!
During recess, they manage to bump into each other in the crowded hallways, and Hitori, the usual person she is apologizes excessively, way more than she needed to.
"imsorryimsorryimsorryimsososososorryididnotmeantodothatpleaseimsorryiwilldoanythingidonotwanttodiesparemegivememercypleaseimbegging!!" Hitori says in a panicked state, she's even melting into a blob
"Hey its me! Chill out! Also, I don't think that's a normal thing to do when you bump into someone!" Kita laughs a little at her sudden reaction
"O-oh, hey Kita"
They have a conversation, and Kita decides to ask her if she can hang out
"Hitori-Chan, I want to hang out again! Maybe it can be just us, I know a place!"
Hitori gets a little thrown off by her sentence, but she decides to agree out of compliance
After school, Kita decides to take her out to the "place" that she knew
"Wh-where are we going exactly?" Hitori asks nervously.
"Don't worry! It's only a little café I found, it will be nice!" Kita responds to her question reassuringly
"O-oh, okay"
They arrive at the so called "Café" Kita was talking about.
"LOOK UP COFFEE..I don't wanna talk to a person..."
"Don't worry Hitori-Chan, I'll handle this!"
They both take a seat outside and check the menu together
"Hitori-Chan, what will you get?"
"Ummm...Maybe just a croissant?"
"Really? Okay then!"
They order their food, with Kita telling the cashier everything they ordered, to later being served the food and drink
"Hitori-Chan, I wanna take a picture!"
She doesn't respond, and began to freeze
"Err- I uhm, su-"
Before she finishes her sentence, Kita already snaps a picture of them together.
"Hitori-Chan, you look so cute in the photo!"
Hitori liked that, and it shows
"Anyway Hitori-Chan, lets eat! Or drink I guess.."
Hitori is eating her croissant, meanwhile Kita is taking more photos of her and the drink
"I-is the drink you ordered good?" Hitori asks
"Of course Hitori-Chan, I like it! A hot caramel latte is always nice." Kita says to Hitori with a warm smile.
Meanwhile, after they finished, Kita paid for it, and they walk out of the café.
"I enjoyed spending time with you today!" Kita exclaims
Hitori feels like Kita is gonna say more, but she brushes it off cause she's scared she might be overthinking it
"Hitori-Chan. I want to tell you something." Kita says
"U-uh, yes?" Hitori blurts out
"It's a little sudden, okay?"
Hitori knew it, but she decides to play it safe just in case, so she doesn't get hurt by words
"Hitori-Chan...I like you, I'm sorry! I want to practice guitar but I couldn't play properly because I was constantly thinking of you! I'm sorry I lied.." Kita says to Hitori
"I ehm..I love you too!"
Hitori never imagined herself saying this, she always hated love, but she felt Kita...was something else, the way it made her feel more comfortable outside, making her feel included, and just so much feelings she can't express to her, she decided to give it up, even if she hated calling it that, love.
"R-really? Hitori-Chan...Thank you so much!" Kita quickly steps out towards her, and gives her a hug, with a little tear of joy in her eye.
Hitori, caught off guard decides to leave it to whatever happens, and she hugs her back
"Hitori-Chan, I wanna sleep over at your house, just this once, pleasee?" [Kita-aura!]
Aahhhh! My eyes! I don't wanna do it!
"Uhm...sure"
Why did I do that?! Too late now though..
"Really? Lets walk home together then!"
Kita gets out of the hug, and grabs Hitori's hand, with Hitori holding on tight, like she's about to fall.
"Next station, to your home!" Kita comments, very quietly though.
