Feng Jiu was wheeled back into the ICU after Zhe Yan performed an emergency operation on her.
Dong Hua also had his wounds treated. Despite having advised him to rest, Dong Hua was at the waiting area for the operation to be done. A lot of things went through his mind, as well as the emotions that simmer through the surface. Dong Hua held his head bent down, going through his thoughts and emotions.

The day before the incident, Feng Jiu finally appeared before him. It’s been five years since they last saw each other, from their supposed wedding celebration. However, due to an unfortunate mishap, he missed the wedding and Feng Jiu left.
He had been looking for her all these years and was doing all that he could to be able to apologize and win her back. But she left without a trace. Not even her family nor friends knew where she went and how she was doing. So, when she finally appeared, he was more than happy to see her. But then, she asked him for a divorce. For despite having missed their wedding, they had already registered their marriage a month before the intended wedding banquet. Dong Hua disagreed and asked her to have lunch so he can explain to her why he missed the wedding. Lian Song suddenly entered his office and was surprised to see Feng Jiu. Lian Song then said, “Feng Jiu, it’s so nice to see you. I’m sorry to interrupt but there’s an emergency, Dong Hua.” Dong Hua was about to reply to Lian Song, when Feng Jiu said “Nice to see you too Lian Song. I’m taking my leave.”, and then hurriedly went out of his office. It took her a lot of courage to get out as her eyes filled with tears.
When Feng Jiu went out of Dong Hua’s office, she saw his trusted assistant Zhong Lin and greeted him. “It’s been a long time, Zhong Lin.” Feng Jiu told him. “Madam, do you have time? I have something important to tell you.” Zhong Lin told her. Zhong Lin then lead her to another private room in the office and talked to her what happened to Dong Hua and why he missed the wedding. Dong Hua was apparently made to drink poison and became unconscious. They tried to contact her on the wedding day, but her phone could not be reached. Feng Jiu remembered that she could not find her phone on that day. Zhong Lin also told her that Dong Hua has been looking for her all these years but cannot find her. Zhong Lin hoped that Feng Jiu would be able to understand and come back to the life of Dong Hua, who has been burying his self to work until exhausted and walking lifeless ever since she left.” “Would you know who would poison him?” Feng Jiu asked. “It was Ji Heng. She placed poison on a water bottle and switched it with the one he was drinking. She disguised herself as a hotel attendant at that time. When we found out what she did, we reported her to the police who then arrested her, for attempting to take the life of Dong Hua. We filed a case against her, and she is now serving her sentence at the jail.” Zhong Lin answered. “Thank you for this Zhong Lin. Can you tell Dong Hua, I’ll meet him tomorrow at lunch. At the garden restaurant.” Then she left his office.

Earlier that day, Feng Jiu asked her good friend Xie Gu Chuo to take good care of Gun Gun for her as she was going to have lunch with Dong Hua. “And this is?” Xie Gu Chuo asked her. “This is Gun Gun. Dong Hua is his father.” Feng Jiu told Xie Gu Chuo. “Gun Gun, please be good and behave with your Uncle Xie Gu Chuo.” Gun Gun nodded and asked Feng Jiu to make a promise to return. So, Feng Jiu and Gun Gun made their pinky promise.
They both arrived at the garden restaurant at the same time. They were in the parking lot, when Feng Jiu saw a speeding black car and seemed to want to hit Dong Hua who was facing her. Feng Jiu hurriedly ran towards Dong Hua, held him, and pushed him on the side. Dong Hua fell on the ground and the speeding black car hit Feng Jiu. “Xiao Bai!” Dong Hua shouted as he rushed towards her. He held her in his arms and shouted for help. “Xiao Bai, wake up! Please! Please! Don’t leave me!” Dong Hua pleaded to her. Feng Jiu tried to reach for Dong Hua’s face but fell unconscious.
