Today was like an average day in gardenview, toons roaming around — chatting with one other, making the atmosphere lively and interesting.
“ Hey vee! ”
A seemingly energetic tone from a toon having an appearance of an ammonite, Shelly Fossilian — calling out another toon, Vee. Vee was mind her own business, planning on hosting another gameshow until she was interrupted by Shelly's extroverted and spirited voice, calling out her name. Vee turned her attention towards Shelly with an unaltered expression, with a slight sign of annoyance in the mix with her expression.
V — “ What do you need, shelly. ”
S — “ Oh-! Uh, I'm asking if you're free to hang o- ”
V — “ I'm busy, shelly. ”
Vee abruptly interrupted Shelly, informing her that she was busy. Shelly was left slightly dumbfounded with her own words, realising that she was interrupting other toons work and possibly wasting their time, as she apologized to vee for her interruption. Vee soon walked away from her, left shelly there — standing there, unsure what to do. Shelly clutched gently on her dress, keeping her composers. She let out a small sigh of defeat as she wandered around the toon rooms, and eventually she stumbled across astro who was bidding farewell to rnd and brightney. Astro noticing shelly rather downed feelings, approached her with concern in his face and asked if she was alright.
A — “ Hey shelly..? Are u alright..? ”
S — “ Oh yeah!- I'm alright..! ”
A — “ are U sure..? ”
S — “ Mhm!.. I know you're busy so I'll leave you alone..! Bye astro!.. ”
Prior to astro can stop shelly, She ran off which left Astro standing there, slightly dumbfounded by Shelly's sudden response. He immediately sensed something was wrong with shelly and fortunately, He doesn't have any plans for today and following his instinct to go find shelly. Astro soon found shelly, sitting against the wall with her legs bent up and crossed over one another. Their arms encircled around their knees while her head resting on it. Astro slowly approached her and sat down beside her, shelly titled her head up to notice astro which startled her slightly and causing astro to let out a small chuckle. Shelly noticed astro chuckling softly and couldn't help to also let out a small laugh as well. After that small moment, there was pure silence . Astro knew that he is not good at comforting someone but eventually ask her about dinosaurs facts as he was aware that her enthusiasm regarding dinosaurs.
A — “ Let's cheer up the mood a bit, tell me more about Compsognathus.. "
S — “ Really..? But i- ”
A — “ It's alright.. I have a lot of free time and besides listening to your voice make me happy.. ”
Shelly, Was touched by astro's softened and comforting words — having someone who is willing to listen to her rambling about dinosaurs meant everything to her. As shelly began to rambling on and on while astro sat there, listening to her every words and admiring everything about her.. She meant the world to him.. She always somehow makes him smile.. brings so much warmth into his once gloomy heart..
