Chapter Text

It was dark, but Rody could make out the faint outline of the freezer door. He had found the key in Vince's room so it wouldn't be a problem to go in. Rody guessed it was nice that he invited Rody to a dinner party. Even if he was only catering.

He walked to the door and unlocked it, as soon as he did, he was hit with the smell of blood, he gagged. He could hear the meat processer whirring and crunching something - that was weird, why would Vincent leave it on after hours?

He walked up to it and squinted at the thing that was processing. He couldn't see it very well... But it looked like an arm, wait an arm?, it wouldn't be an arm- Right? He lent back again and headed out for the exit of the freezer, when something caught his eye.

Something rose gold. No... not rose gold it was only gold with blood splattered on it. He walked back to the processer and picked up the locket, opening it. He stopped.

No.

No. No. No. Rody couldn't breathe. 'Why- what.' He thought, as he stared at the picture of Manon and himself in the locket.

'What is this- What the fuck...'

He looked at the prosesser, as the fingertips of the arm burst, spraying blood. A girls arm... But. No. Vincent wouldn't do that... He couldn't- Shut up he had no idea what Vincent, would and could do.

Shit. He had to get out of her--.

SMASH

Vincent's wide and unfocused eyes meeting his was the last thing he saw the wine bottle smashed against his head.

------------------------------------------

Rody woke up still in a daze. He couldn't move... What? He looked down, Oh no... He was tied in firm knots, he couldn't escape this... He squirmed a little and he heard something.

Something that to a regular person would have sounded, well regular. But to Rody, the sound of the matches in his pocket were like ethereal, church bells.

He struck one and winced as the match burnt his skin. But also burnted through the rope. He got up and ran to the door- he couldn't look at the processer... -It was too cold to open. Of course it was.

Rody stands there looking around for something. Anything. He grabbed flour from the prep area and turned to place it in front of the stock shelf behind him, standing on tiptoes to reach the cooling unit.

He turns on the meat cutter, and cuts a piece of hanging meat. He reached inside the carcass quickly and pulled out the remaining bones with a brust of strength, He stood on the bag of flour to get over to the cooler and jammed the bones into the fan, he dropped down as it clunked to a stop.

He breaks the window on the door with it not being too cold anymore, and opens it from the outside. He ran out and tired to escape for the third time. God he hated it in here. He turned and stopped. Dead in his tracks.

Vincent stood there for a second before lungeing at Rody and biting off his ear. Rody screamed and sobbed out of pain and fear.

"AHHGH MY EAR! WHAT THE HELL!" He yelled. Vincent just stood there wiping his mouth on his sleeve. Rody staggered back and ran.

He forgot where to run. He just ran.

Rody ran into Vincent's office. Idiot. Vincent followed him. Rody fumbled and he scrambled to picked up the broken wine glass and stand next to the door, Vincent came into the office and Rody took the chance, he plunged the sharded bottle into Vincent's neck.

Rody saw the shards of glass lodge into Vincent's neck, drawing so much blood it soaked his shirt in seconds he fell to the ground his hand over his bloody neck.

He looked round the office and his eyes landed on something yellow-green.

Oil.

He vagualy registered Vincent's eyes following him round the room. He picked the oil up and drenched Vincent and various wooden items in it. He saw Vincent's eyes widen as he did so and even more so when Rody pulled out his matchbox.

"Rody. Don't-" Vincent said

Rody struck the match and threw it at the book shelf. It ignited instantly, catching other things on fire. Vincent shifted away from the blaze and Rody turned to leave the flame-filled office when,

"Rody...-"

'Fuck it.' Rody knew that this man had tried to murder him... But he was in the process trying to kill Vincent. This wasn't himself..."Rody..." Vincent called again.

'Damn.'

Rody ran back into the office and grabbed Vincent. His mind screamed at him, 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!' Rody ran out of the resteraunt with him as it exploded into flames..
