“So Weissy-Weiss, where do you think we'll find this Hall Runner?” Sun asked as he leaped from tree to tree, “Port's said if we can get evidence for this bad boy, we get a 100, 150 if we can bring it in kicking.” The objective Weiss and Sun was doing a project where their partners were scrambled amongst the class. She got Sun Wukong while her Partner, Ruby Rose, got Neptune. The assignment doesn't sound difficult at first, recor42nd rd an uncommon or Rarer Grimm, sounds easy at first. But what Weiss didn't find easy was her new partner Sun, she was uncomfortable being paired up with him for multiple reasons, one of which was her guilt for the way she spoke about him.
She stuck low to the ground to see where they could find this strange bird. “Hey!” Weiss jumped when Sun swung down, “Don't ignore me, what if I find the Mall Runner and you didn't hear me?” “First it's a Hell Runner, second I doubt you- Wait there it is!” Weiss pulled out the camera and clicked a photo, the following scream came from another Faunus who then yelled at Weiss for scaring off her target before leaving. “Wow, really thought Rebecca was a Gale Hunter did we?” Weiss groaned at Sun's jab, finding it annoying.
Sun knew he had an effect on Weiss, not surprising really, he's been told by her more social teammate Yang that he and his team looks like a Boy band to which he replied by hoping it wasn't some Industry plant like the Other Direction, that could be a subject he thought to himself as he went down to check up on Weiss who looked like she was reading a rather small book while looking around, "Whatcha up to?” Sun asked, startling Weiss as she put her book away, “Nothing!” She shouted as she tried to jog away before Sun took her book, “Let see here, Oh I remember this story, yeah the Yuri bait was a shame though” Sun said as Weiss looked away, “so he's against girls loving girls… I guess it's a worthy punishment.” Weiss thought to herself as she tried to deflect, “Well it's more than just this “Yuri-bait” it's a story about how these 5 women in mech suits fighting giant Flesh Monsters and the bond they forge that-” “gets squandered when in Volume 10 they introduce a group of guys who are thinner than trading cards but for some reason the girls think they're the hottest thing on earth like “Bro what even” am i right… Weiss?” Sun then looked at Weiss who was absolutely livid, her teeth grinded and her hands curled into fists.
“Are. You. Kidding me!?! So what you're telling me is that they introduce self-Fucking-inserts in Of hearts of steel!?!” She screamed as Sun cunningly smirked briefly before pushing a bit more of Weiss’ buttons. “Oh Honey, My sister and I hear you, but it gets worse.” Is he playing with Fire? Yes, but as his aunt once said, can't cook a meal without playing with fire. “Oh you have a sister, how sweet…” Meanwhile Weiss has other plans as she tries to change the subject while unaware of Sun's true intentions, “Oh yeah, she's going to turn 10 next month actually, but still do you know what's worse? They're not Self inserts, they're Corporate inserts” Sun watched as Weiss' temper rose back up. “What. Do. You. Mean…” Weiss growled, Sun chuckled under his breath darkly as he went for the killing blow. “Well you see Weiss, like your old man, the higher ups of the publishers did not approve of Queer culture so they literally gave the author a choice between adding male love interests or instant cancellation and losing their job.”
“-And that's how I ended up sleeping on the couch for a week.” Coco explained while Yang was taking photos of the Skull Crusher, a Crab Grimm only found in specific lakes and ponds around the Vale, her new partner was holding up when suddenly they heard screaming from 10 miles away, “Who was that?” Yang asked. Sun was admiring his work as Weiss rant and raved about how Lindsey deserved to be with Bethany and that she was just getting into the book. “Hey, hey listen, there are plenty of books in the library, like Bloom into you, Greta and Mandy, Trench Cross lovers-” “What are you trying to imply?” Weiss' eyes narrowed with suspicion, “Snow Queen, You are gay as much as I am a Faunus.” Sun watched as Weiss tried to yell at him, to deny the allegations but kept tripping over her words.
“I'll-” “Shh!” Sun shushed Weiss as tilted his head sharply to tell her to turn around in silence. She turned to see the Hell Runner stalking her before it finally clicked, “You… Cad… you were using me!?!?!” Weiss got up to his face, seeing that now he's finally getting worried, “At least I was using you for your temperament rather than your money, how's that for a change of pace?” Sun asked, hoping that he can at least salvage this situation enough to not get them killed as the Hell Runner slowly creeped closer and closer, each heavy clawed foot stamping the ground as it was ready to strike. “Weiss please the Death Bird.” Right as Sun said that and the Hell Runner went for a strike, Weiss pulled off an elaborate cage of Glyph around the Grimm, all without looking at it. “Now back to our conversation.” Weiss replied as Sun chuckled nervously.
“I mean yeah, at least I used you for the most literal you I could possibly use you, like not a single cent spent on baiting you to bait the Grimm.” Sun pointed out as Weiss sighed, “Well regardless of the type of usage, please don't anymore, I have a bad enough headache and I don't want it to get worse.” she rubbed the bridge on her nose as the Angry 7 ft 9 inch tall Cassowary of deadlier death honked angrily at Weiss. The Duo then started their trek back to the Homebase, the area near the school where they can deposit the Grimm safely, it wasn't too far that's to Sun's efforts but still 5 miles out. “So… Weiss… There's nothing wrong with being gay, you're allowed to love other women if you like” Sun said, trying to break the ice only to bump into Weiss after she stopped in front of him. “It's not about loving someone of the same sex it's more… complex. It's about the people, like who would want to date someone who spent their entire life trying to be better than her forebearers only for everyone else to only focus on short failings, their trauma, their… misunderstandings” Weiss placed her head on a tree as Sun sighed, “Look if this is about your namesake screw-” “It's not about my dad! At least not just him… I'm not exactly blameless for my actions” Weiss confess, “I thought you were with the white fang, I called them horrible monsters right in front a former member of theirs's-” “Blake, yeah she told me about it but she also said you were a “Typical Schnee” which I thought was kinda hypocritical but eh, just me” Sun casually said as he spun his gunchuck aimlessly. “Yeah… but still other women wouldn't be interested in me.” Weiss replied as she hugged herself to get some self comfort.
“Well maybe I can be your wingman, I know a lot of people here, one of them might be interested in you personally.” Sun offered as Weiss thought about it, wondering if he could actually help her, then her mind started to go to dark places. Why would he help her after everything she did, what she said about him? “Are you sure you can help me?” Weiss asked as Sun smiled, “Sure, does anyone come to mind?” He asked as Weiss started to really consider it, “I promise to not let either of them know where I got my information but I fancy Yang and Pyrrha.” Weiss explained as Sun nodded thoughtfully, he could see it, especially after that rant of her ship with Bethany and Lindsey, the latter of two being a strong beef cake of a woman, “Though admittingly I couldn't help but give Nora an updown whenever we're alone together” Weiss added as she blushed. “Hmm at least I have a variety of people I could work with… not to mention your lean towards buff chicks is far from limited here… Say I think we should start with… Yang or Nora, what do you think should be first.” Sun explained. “I think… We're here!” Weiss exclaimed as they arrived at Homebase with little Aura left to spare and a proper cage already opened and waiting.
“150 points to Weiss Schnee and Sun Wukong for bringing in this wonderful specimen” Professor Port congratulated as the Hell Runner thrashed around in its cage, Weiss and Sun stood proudly as they fist bumped to their victory. “As for you Ms Rose, I implore you to not treat Doom Scythes as Therapists.” Professor Port added as he then played the video Neptune submitted which revealed Ruby talking to a brooding Doom scythe mother who watched Ruby talk about her stress, grievances, and even confess to it about a crush that Port edited out for privacy and not causing Ruby even more emotional stress than she's having now. “Psst, Hey Sun?” Weiss leaned towards Sun while they watched the cursed show, “I think I'll take Nora…” Weiss Whispered to him as Sun nodded, appreciating the challenge that Weiss just gave him. “It might take me some time but I think I can hook you two up. Sun whispered back as Weiss smiled.
