Chapter Text
Kris Berdly Susie and Noelle were sitting in the backyard of the holiday residence together on a bench watching the snowfall, a layer of snow was forming that that covered the ground, and the trees were made white. They were wearing multiple sweaters, a scarf, a hat and a big coat to beat the cold, and they were bored but Noelle had an activity to pass the time.
“Let’s have a couple snowman competition! I’ll be with Susie in one team and Kris and Berdly will be in another”
Berdly replied “Okay, any rules?”
“Well simply don’t sabotage the other team and there is a time limit of-“ Noelle looked her at watch “15 minutes, now let’s go!”
Kris and Berdly quickly started work on their snowman, after working on the body for some time they finally reached the face. They had no carrot but a branch they found worked well as the nose and they used pebbles to give it eyes. Kris decided to put their hat and scarf on the snowman and eventually had an idea
“Berdly, give me your glasses”
Berdly rejected it at first, “But I can’t see without them!”
Kris started grinning “I know that obviously, it would be just funny to put them on the snowmen you know?”
Berdly thought a bit more about it and decided that he would give his spectacles because it would be a cute detail. Kris was proud of their creation, and Berdly couldn’t see it properly, the snowman only appeared as a white blur in his vision. They walked over to where Susie and Noelle were and saw their work. They had an adorable snowman that had long branches used as antlers, but Kris and Berdly were only able to see it temporarily as he tripped on something and fell face first into it, completely ruining their work.
Susie and Noelle were shocked, “Oh, come on we took so much time on that!”
Kris went over to help Berdly up “Are you okay?”
“Yes…I’m fine, but I think their snowman isn’t”
Berdly started wiping the snow off his jacket, and Noelle took the scarf she kept on the snowman and after shaking the snow off it, wrapped it around herself.
“So uh, I guess we can’t compare our snowmen anymore, could we destroy yours? it would be fun”
Berdly sighed “Okay sure, to make up for this small debacle”
Kris and Berdly first took their things off the snowman, he was happy to have his glasses again. They saw as Susie and Noelle worked together to wreck their snowman.
“Well, it is sad to see our combined effort crumble like that”
“Eh its fine Berdly, it was nice working with you on it”
Berdly started smiling “Oh Kris, I forget how, well, corny you can be sometimes, no offense”
Kris tried using their scarf to cover up the fact they were blushing and somehow felt even warmer in their current outfit. After Susie and Noelle were done, they went back to the house.
