Kiyomi gently rubbed Asuna's forehead as her fever continued to stay the same. It wasn't rising like before but it wasn't getting any better. She was sleeping but her off coloured scaled cheeks were showing no signs of improvement. She gently rubbed her cheeks with a wet cloth trying to cool her down.
“Is she feeling any better?” A man in his late 40's came in. With his bangs covering half his face and a scar down his eye does not really give the impression of a kind man, but in his hands he carried a tray with a bowl of warm porridge and hot tea. His name is Osamu Tsuyoshi.
Kiyomi shook her head. “Her fever is not rising but she's still really warm,” Kiyomi replied. Setting the tray down on the bedside table, he sat down beside her. “At least it's not getting worse. Small miracles,” he said. Kiyomi nodded, “True,” she agreed. There was a time where Asuna had a high fever for nearly a week, almost ending up with her in the hospital.
Asuna whined as he ran his hand through her hair, gently massaging her head. “Shh, It's okay,” he assured, rubbing the base of her horns bringing her some relief. “Mama, papa,” she whined. “It's okay, Suna. Are you feeling well enough to eat?”. Asuna made some noise of complaint but opening up her heterochromic eyes made the two adults smile. She sluggishly sat up, her wings shuddering at the chill in the air.
“Good girl,” Kiyomi patted her hair, smiling kindly. Tsuyoshi chuckled and gently set the tray on her lap. “Eat as much as you can.” Turning to his wife he gestures out the door. “I'll tell the kids to handle the Cafe for the day. You stay here and take care of Asuna,” he then turned to his daughter, “You should just focus on getting better,” he tells her. Asuna nodded. “Mhmm,” she slurped up her porridge.
The two chuckled at her drowsy reply. Kissing her forehead and then his wife, Tsuyoshi stood up. “I'll be downstairs if you need me,” he said and walked out. Kiyomi watched as her husband carefully closed the door and she was left with her daughter.
“Achoo!!” she sneezed, mucus dripping down her nose. “Tissue,” Kiyomi said as she hurriedly pulled a tissue out of the packet.

Tsuyoshi scratched the back of his head as he walked downstairs. Asuna was getting a little bit better so that was somewhat of a good thing. The only problem was.. ‘How do I explain this to her siblings,’. Now obviously they knew she was ill. It was no surprise. After all, Asuna was born with complications which led to her having a much weaker immune system than the rest of her siblings. This includes,
“How's Asuna?! Is she alright?!”
A boy with a similar appearance to Asuna rushed to Tsuyoshi just as he reached the last step. Tsuyoshi looked to see his youngest son with a worried expression on his face.
‘Especially this one,’
Osamu Asao. The youngest son and the older of the twins. Although Asuna was born with a much weaker immune system, the same can't be said about Asao. He was born with no significant problems and was relatively healthy. This had of course made Asao feel responsible for Asuna, becoming slightly more than a little protective over her.
A hand reached out and pulled Asao back. “Wha-?! Hey!!” Asao's wings flared out and his tail lashed around. “Calm down squirt.” A female voice called out spunkily. “But Hikari-nee!!” He called indignantly. Hikari raised an eyebrow, silencing him, but he crossed his legs and arms pouting.
Osamu Hikari. The second daughter and sixth child of the family. She too has a very protective nature for Asuna. Being the second daughter and a naturally bright attitude made her a very good older sister albeit she is slightly dull and chooses to just ignore the atmosphere when she wants to.
Hikari sighed, “Is Asuna okay pa?” she asks, her ears looked relaxed but her tail was moving anxiously. Tsuyoshi released a small breath. “Let’s go to your siblings, because they are undoubtedly eavesdropping right now,” he said, eyeing the door. He briefly heard a bunch of scrambling before silence. Tsuyoshi eyed the two children within his presence. The two avoided eye contact and Hikari hurriedly scurried away with Asao still being carried by her.
Tsuyoshi chuckled. It was always like this whenever Asuna was sick. Each one of them will always be worried about her.
He walked out and was greeted by all his children minding their own business as if they weren't eavesdropping just minutes ago. “So… Pa, Is Asuna…” His eldest trailed off.
Osamu Haruto. Their first child and the eldest son. His ears were pointed but were not the same as Tsuyoshi. Haruto had a smile on his face, but the crease on his forehead exposed his worry. “She's fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Her fever isn’t going up but it isn't going down either. So try not to make too much noise, she needs rest. Lots of it,” he explained, not hiding or lying about a single thing. It's better that way. There was no need to lie about something like this.
All of them sighed in relief. Nothing bad then. “The Cafe is still open today, it will be all hands on deck since we are down two people. Get to work,” he ordered. He was met with various remarks of agreements.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw one of his sons with his ear pressed into his head. Another one had turned to his son and began talking quietly. He briefly heard something along the lines of ‘Too loud’ and ‘earplugs’ so he can make a guess from there.
His third son and child, Osamu Katsuo, and his fourth son and child, Osamu Takeo. Those two were probably the most opposite in personality. Katsuo being more of a little shit if anything. And he means it. There is a reason why the kids call him the shitty ass personality sibling. His cheery and smiley persona really draws people in but if you get on his bad side, he'll humiliate you with no hesitation. Takeo on the other hand was a lot more quiet and preferred to stay out of confrontations unless it was really needed. Takeo was probably the main reason for Katsuo's personality since the twins are really reliant on one another. With Katsuo making sure Takeo is safe from people that could hurt him. And Takeo makes sure that he always has Katsuo's back covered.
“Takeo, if you need a break it's fine,” Tsuyoshi said. Takeo and Asuna were the only two who were permitted to take more breaks or do less intensive work. For Asuna it was her weak immune system. For Takeo it was because he is legally half blind. The right side of his eye is weak and most days he wears an eyepatch to cover it up. This leads to him being more sensitive to sound and drowsiness. Takeo shook his head. “I'm fine, might need to work behind the scenes today instead tho,”. That means no taking orders or working around people. “Very well, You can handle the kitchen and we’ll see where we can go from there,” Takeo nodded and Katsuo beamed. “I’ll handle the orders then!!” He said excitedly. All the siblings just sighed.
“Me and Hikari, we'll take care of the table, food and refreshments papa.” Miyuki offered. “Appreciate that Miyuki,” Tsuyoshi thanked.
Osamu Miyuki, his fifth child and first daughter. Miyuki had always been very kind and considerate being the eldest daughter, she is very responsible and will always take care of her younger siblings. She is also dubbed as the one sibling nobody wants to even attempt or think of angering. Miyuki has her mothers kindness as well as her temperament. So yeah, all or any thought of angering her had completely left the premise.
“Haruto, Hiroto, you two will handle delivery. Don't forget your pass,” he said. Haruto gave a thumbs up whilst Hiroto gave a small nod.
Osamu Hiroto, his second child and second son. His horns were similar in shape to Tsuyoshi and he has two beauty marks on his forehead going downwards. He’s also the only one of his kids that wears a mask on a daily basis. Hiroto is also definitely the one sibling that everyone teases the most. He’s also the only one who made sure that the rules were somewhat followed. Very reliable and Tsuyoshi won't lie, he probably calls Hiroto for help more than the rest of his children. Sorry kids.
“Alright, time for work! Move it!!” he ordered and everyone booked for their duties.

The day was a usual day. Nothing crazy was happening in the Cafe and business was normal. Hiroto was waiting for the next order, meanwhile, Haruto was helping Hikari carry a tray to a customer. Takeo was nowhere in sight at the front and Katsuo was happily taking orders. Conversing with the customers as he went.
Tsuyoshi had a soft smile on his lips. If he was being honest, he used to be very worried about the Cafe. Afterall, in a world where Heroes and Villains exist, conflict was bound to appear. But that was not his main worry. It was because his previous occupation was not legal. He was no villain, but he was no hero either. He was a vigilante. Someone who does work in the dark and away from prying eyes.
Some people love him, others hate him. He didn't really care, he just wanted to end the suffering of the people ignored by the government. And somehow, during one of his odd jobs, he met his wife. The now former elemental butterfly hero, ‘Nature's Chrysalis,’ now known as Kocho (Former) Osamu Kiyomi. He still does not know how he managed to attract a woman like her but he was not about to complain. He ‘ended’ his career and paid due his crimes all to marry Kiyomi and it was worth it. Her family was not happy about it though and to this day he still feels guilty for being the reason Kiyomi was removed from the Kocho Clan. Unable to receive her inheritance until she ‘comes back to her senses’ according to the clan elders. Kiyomi didn't care. She paid them no mind and now they were happily married with 8 children. 20+ years and still going strong.
His flashback ended when he heard a commotion and his eyes drifted towards the entrance where a few men were threatening Hiroto who was holding an order and was about to walk out of the door. The customers were looking in fear but his children on the other hand looked mildly annoyed if anything.
Tsuyoshi made eye contact with Haruto. He moved his head to the small group and raised an eyebrow. Haruto pursed his lips and shrugged. Alright then, they can handle it. He closed his eyes and leaned back against the wall. His ears moved as he listened to the conversation.

Hiroto wanted to kick these guys. Seriously? They were trying to rob him now? In front of people? God, bad guys need to up their skill. Pa was a lot worse than them. The guy was using his quirk and he could make a vague guess that it was something related to telekinesis since there were a bunch of knives moving around him. Another one looked more muscular. He is probably a mutant type with big muscles. Not bad. The last one was much more interesting; he was producing some spinning saws? But honestly, Hiroto could care less.
“Oi!! Do you all not hear me?! Give us everything in this store!!” The knife guy said. Hiroto sighed deeply. “Katsuo,” He called. “Hmm?”. Katsuo smiled, tilting his head. “Tell Takeo to do damage control,”he said and the order was immediately taken out of his hands with wind as Katsuo yelled for Takeo.
Hiroto glared at them as his wings flared out.
“Let's take this outside,” he said and the floor below him shifted and sent them all a good distance away from the Cafe.
“Don't kill anyone!!” He briefly heard his brother yell. “I know!!”
The villains all laughed at him. “Do you really think a guy like you could handle all three of us?” one gloated. Hiroto glared at them, and slowly his wings spread out revealing shadows. “What the-”
“You ask if I could handle all three of you? I can probably handle 20 more,” Hiroto answered and raised his hand. “Shadow bomb” he said blankly and a ball of shadow released from his hand hitting the knife guy. Injuring and trapping him. The two looked at the aftermath of the attack in shock.
Hiroto frowned behind his mask. “Thought you wouldn't dodge that. Huh, not as dumb as I assume. Considering the fact you attacked my family in broad daylight.” Hiroto said. The muscle guy growled angrily and ran to him. Fist raised, he proceeded to try and knock Hiroto down but ultimately failed as Hiroto had dodged them all by taking to the sky.
“Coward!!” Muscle guy yelled. “It's called being safe and smart,” he retorted before diving straight down, covering his body in shadow as he did so and he crashed himself right into him. Muscle guy was down and all that was left was the spinning saw guy. He looked pretty angry. “You!” He sent the disk after him but by then Hiroto was already losing his patients. That was supposed to be the last of the orders for him and he had a meet up with someone afterwards, but this guy is making him late.
“I swear, you guys are so annoying!!” he glared and shadows formed in front of the disks and as they entered the disks were destroyed. “What the?!” the saw guy yelled. Hiroto used his shadow to appear in front of him, “Surprise,” Hiroto glared and punched him in the face, launching him backwards and into a wall, creating a small crack and knocking him out. Hiroto gave them a hard stare before slumping down, his hand rubbing his face. “The stress I get daily I swear,” he grumbled, he used his shadows and manipulated them to carry the villains, dragging them back to the Cafe.
“I'm back, Sorry it took a bit,” Hiroto apologized as he entered the Cafe when he was immediately embraced by familiar arms and a familiar scent. His eyes briefly widened before softening as he returned the embrace. Wings entangled with each other.
“Hey Nightwing, your late”
“Sorry, had to deal with,” he glanced at the three villains. “Stuff,” he decided to say. A smirk decorated Hiroto's siblings face and he realized too late what was going to happen.
“I thought Hawks was the only stuff you deal with!!” Katsuo called out teasingly. Hiroto snapped his head towards Katsuo who was leaning forward, elbow on the counter and hands cradling his face. He was grinning oh so very brightly with joy. His tail flicked back and forth. Hiroto immediately looked around and noticed the rest of his siblings were grinning gleefully. Siblings will be siblings and right now they had their phones out and were recording and snapping pictures. Hiroto could feel his face heating up behind his mask. “Aww he's red,” Hikari whispered to Miyuki.
“Hey!! Delete those!!” he yelled, pointing his finger at Haruto accusingly. Haruto stuck his tongue out. “Nope!! This is gonna look so good in your wedding album!!” Haruto stated as if the wedding had already been planned. Hiroto immediately chased after him to which Haruto proceeded to try and run away quite easily due to his quirk.
“Haru-nii delete it!!” he ordered frantically. Haruto laughed while running away.
—----
Tsuyoshi sighed and was planning to let it be when he heard the faint sound of the upstairs room door being closed and heavy thumps going down the stairs.
‘Shit, I forgot about-’
The door leading to the Cafe from their house opened up roughly and loudly. There stood in all her glory his beloved wife, who looked very upset. ‘Fuck…… we are so dead.’
The silence spread to each and every corner of the Cafe. Kiyomi was staring daggers into them. “Ma…ma…” the kids stuttered. “All of you, your sister is sick, so If you want to fight,” her butterfly wings unravelled, spreading wide. Small butterflies made from the elements appeared around her. “Take it outside!!” she ordered.

Asuna winced and giggled as she heard her older siblings got in trouble with their mother. Asao had come in moments earlier because he needed to see with his own eyes that Asuna was okay.
“Our big brothers and big sisters are in trouble with Ma,” Asao said, ears pointed down as their mothers voice can be heard. “They were pretty loud,” Asuna said, voice still raspy. Asao shrugged. “Yeah, but are you sure you’re okay?” he asks. Asuna nodded. “It's been a couple of hours now and my fevers have gone down. I'm fine Asao-nii,” she assures. Asao frowned but decided to trust Asuna. She's his twin, they trust each other and if Asuna said she's fine then she probably is. “Alright then,” he smiled. Asuna smiled right back at him.

People would usually judge our family really harshly, but we are pretty much the definition of a normal family…well, mostly afterall… we are the Osamu family and we don't do things by halves.
Asuna grinned as the building was taken down. Her family watches as the heroes receive praise for defeating a villain and though most of the heroes looked mildly confused, two of them were staring right at the family who already began walking back home.
The villain in question was a pedophile who was taking in humans from organizations that do human trafficking. Well, it looks like the Osamu family has their work cut out for them. Each one of them smirked.
