Work Text:
Quiet at last, the pounding music from the club finally gone letting Stars ears rest, although they still rang. Star wasn’t the type to get out much often. Or at least they didn’t much until it met Subong, the complete opposite. He always seemed to have something on whether it be a party, a gig or just going out. Of course, he felt fine. Clubbing, drinking and taking whatever the fuck he was taking was like second nature to him.
The two were asleep tangled up in Subongs bed, as he ever so kindly took Star home last night. He didn’t trust they would be okay home alone. Too wasted, and too susceptible to be taken advantage of. He would never be able to forgive himself is something had happened to it.
The younger of the pair began to stir, before realising they were being held onto some ones chest. His chest. Subong must’ve taken them home last night. A headache suddenly hit them, joints ached and nausea curled in its stomach. Their eyes fluttered open painfully to see their boyfriend staring down at it.
“You look like shit” Subong mumbled into their hair, peppering kisses on it. He had woken up at least an hour ago but hadn’t dared to wake his partner.
“Thanks I feel like it.” Star snapped back, voice rough with a hangover evident. “And lower your voice… it hurts…”
Subongs tone shifted slightly, soft and tender. “God baby, you really don’t do this much huh?” He chuckled, but still made sure to speak in a whisper. “Gonna be sick?”
“Nnnnnno…”
“You sure?”
Star nodded softly, forcing head its into his neck, wanting nothing but the hangover to go away. His body warmth was helping, and the warm scent of home.
Subong stayed still, fingers gently scratching and combing in their hair, knowing how much they loved that.
He made sure his voice stayed soft when he spoke next,
“Awww my sweet flower…” He cooed, running his hands through their hair. “Does my boy want anything? I can get you a water…”
Star hesitated for a moment. All they wanted to do was go back to sleep in his arms, enjoying the comfort a little while longer, but of course they knew better than to refuse water after a night like that.
“Can I have a water?” They spoke, head slowly moving to look up at him.
The purple haired man carefully eased his way out of Stars arms. Once the sheets slipped off Subongs bare upper body was on display. They couldn’t help but marvel a bit at their boyfriend. The way his skin basically glowed in the gentle morning light, his careful movements and everything about him really. Of course, he couldn’t miss this gaze and he walked to the kitchen with an egotistical smirk on his face.
He returned a moment later with a water bottle holding up to Stars mouth.
“Drink up flower.”
“You do know I can do it myself…?” They spoke, trying to take the bottle from his hands.
His eyebrows furrowed and he gently pressed the bottle to Stars lips. Too tired and hungover to complain Star obeyed and let the cool liquid slide down their throat. The cool water had helped a little bit to ease the dryness in its throat.
Once Subong decided they had drunk enough he gently took the bottle away and slipped back into bed. He settled beside them wrapping an arm around their waist. He looked down at Star who was already drifting back off to sleep. The morning sun glowing down on their face making his heart skip a beat. God he was lucky.
He couldn’t remember the last time he felt this way about someone, felt the simple comfort of being around them, but he never wants it to end. He lent down and pressed a kiss to the forehead.
“Sleep tight my flower, I love you.”
