Work Text:
Sundays were to laze around.
It had been Yeosang’s only condition when they decided to move in together and, up until now, they never broke that one unspoken rule.
So, that’s precisely what they were doing that Sunday afternoon: absolutely nothing.
Or, well, at least nothing that could be considered a chore. That meant that no laundry, no mopping, no dusting, no cleaning the bathroom, no changing the sheets, no nothing should be happening on Sunday.
Just them and a cozy plan.
That also meant that cooking, or baking something or even making slow and sweet love was allowed.
They were currently in the middle of doing nothing, without any care in the world, lounging leisurely in the couch, just the two of them and their cat, who was loafing on the armrest closer to San.
Yeosang was laying down on his back holding a book that, frankly, was too big and too heavy-looking to be comfortable to hold over his head—San wouldn’t dare to comment on that, if Yeosang wanted to read like that, so be it— turning the pages from time to time, and letting out cute huffs of air, or chuckles or small little gasps here and there as he advanced with his reading.
San, on the other hand, also had a book in his hands, but he was not focusing on its contents, not anymore at least. One hand held the book while the other caressed Yeosang’s shin, having sneaked it under his pyjama pants almost immediately after the other had put his legs over his lap and, since Yeosang had not complained, San let his fingertips draw floritures on the skin. He kneaded the muscle there just to give Yeosang’s a change in sensations every few minutes and the older would hum approvingly each time.
That was what Sundays were for in their home.
The activities would change, but they always stayed in each other’s company. The more he thought about it, the more San’s heart soared inside his ribcage. He got to be like this with Yeosang and he treasured each and every second they spent together.
He dared to look at him and the sight made his eyes sting with unshed tears.
How had he been so lucky?
San looked at his boyfriend, his head was tilted to the side as he had one arm thrown across his forehead, his eyes looking up at the book and his irises moving fast from side to side as he read. One of the corners of his lips started to stretch up, probably because something was about to happen in his story.
Yeosang looked ethereal under the soft hue of the little fireplace they had set on their TV. His skin clear and smooth reflecting the dancing of the fire being played on the screen. San decided right then and there to close his book and leave it on the coffee table before the couch.
He saw how his boyfriend sent him a questioning look, one San dismissed by the bat of his hand. ‘Don’t mind me.’ And with that Yeosang resumed his reading, not suspecting anything.
Before moving definitely, San petted their cat who, in return, let out a yawn and started purring, stretching to get comfier on the armrest. Scratching behind its ears, San smiled to himself, dismissing the need to just squish the furry baby, his whole being overcome by a sudden cute aggression urge.
San grabbed Yeosang’s closest ankle and started moving it upwards slowly, as if trying to not get caught in the act but of course, the leg was attached to one Yeosang, who turned his attention back to him, now with both eyebrows raised. San just shrugged and moved faster before his boyfriend could stop him.
He slid his leg behind him and San scooted closer to Yeosang, successfully making himself at home between Yeosang’s legs. He let go a cute chuckle when he realised what San was doing. Slowly, he leaned down until his whole torso was pressed against Yeosang’s body and, with a bit of wriggling and squirming, they got comfy in the new position.
His arms rested at each side of Yeosang’s ribs as his face found place on his middle, rising up and down with his boyfriend’s breathing. He hummed contently when Yeosang’s free hand buried into his hair, massaging his scalp and petting his hair. San let go a pleased sigh and closed his eyes, basking into the sensations of Yeosang’s touch.
After who knew how much time had passed, the two of them remaining just like that, Yeosang himself put down his book. San whined when his pillow moved to leave said book on the coffee table, just like he had done a while back but Yeosang just shushed him, returning to position in no time once the book was safely placed on the wooden surface.
Now both of his hands were buried into his hair and, okay, that felt even better. He turned his face a bit inwards towards Yeosang’s belly and left a chaste kiss there through the fabric, as a thank you for the massage.
His hands kept their movements long and slow and, had he been a cat, San would have started to purr already.
That feeling from before tugged at him again, feeling as if his love for Yeosang was greater than his whole being, making his chest feel tight. He needed to let it out or he would just combust in place.
More kisses followed that first one as his hands pressed at each side of Yeosang, needing him closer. San moved again, this time dragging himself upwards over Yeosang’s body, leaving a trail of kisses over his chest and feeling how Yeosang’s hold on him tightened, sliding his hands from his hair and wrapping his arms around his neck instead.
He kissed the first patch of exposed skin he could find then, right at Yeosang’s neck, making him giggle at the touch but tilting his head to the side nonetheless, letting him room to do as he wished. He kept moving up, kissing his Adam’s apple and then moving to kiss at his jaw until they finally were face to face.
Yeosang looked up at him with a certain glint in his eyes, like amusement going through them just before closing them and stretching his lips into a smile the moment San leaned in and connected their lips. He could still feel the smile against his mouth, and that made him smile into the kiss, too.
They moved along like waves into a calmed ocean. Not demanding, not tugging, not fighting. There was no carnal desire pulling at them to get more than what they were already getting. Just a kiss, and sweet caresses. Each and every touch: an unspoken ‘I love you’. Each and every brush of their lips: a vow.
San opened his mouth to trap Yeosang’s bottom lip between his, sucking at it just for a change. Yeosang hummed against him and let himself be kissed. San started to feel drunk of him, drinking his saliva as if it was the last drop of water in a desert, the sweetest of all desserts or even the purest of all drugs.
The younger tried to convey all his feelings into the kiss, but his love was too much, too strong. A single tear escaped from the corner of his eye, starting to feel overwhelmed by his own emotions. San broke the kiss but stayed there, close to him with their foreheads connected.
He just needed a minute to put all his thoughts in order.
Yeosang’s arms retreated just enough to keep his hands on each of San’s cheeks, wiping the tear off his skin.
“Sannie?”
But the younger just shut him up with another kiss. It hasn’t been a minute, yet.
Parting for a second time, he finally let go of a breath he didn’t know he had been holding.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered against his lips. The last he had wanted was to worry his boyfriend while they were having the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon, the kind one he had promised him back when they were moving into their new home.
Yeosang just brought him closer, tightening his hold around his neck and moving him in a way so they were hugging once again. San buried his nose on the crook of Yeosang’s neck and inhaled his scent there, the soft notes of his body wash mixed with something that was essentially just Yeosang managing to calm him down a bit, just enough to speak.
“I just can’t believe how lucky I got,” he whispered, leaving a peck on the skin where his neck met his shoulder. “I’m just so happy, so thankful of being able to treasure moments like this… Sorry, I didn’t want to ruin it…”
“Babe, you did not, I was just worried because you were suddenly crying and wanted you to feel better,” Yeosang left a kiss to his forehead. “I don’t want you to hide your feelings from me.”
“I love you,” San breathed then, getting slightly up and looking down at his boyfriend. “More than I ever thought I would.”
“I love you too, Sannie, I have always had.”
“I could spend the rest of my life with you, just like this.”
Yeosang’s body tensed ever so slightly at his words and San was left wondering if that had been the wrong thing to say. He was about to say something, anything, to make it better, but soon Yeosang’s lips were back on his.
This time their kiss was a bit more forceful, as Yeosang was pressing himself eagerly against him but he quickly understood that Yeosang felt the same as he did. In the same way San had tried to pour everything he could not say out loud into his actions, Yeosang was doing now the same.
It made his heart do a series of somersaults and cabrioles as he dived back in again, kissing as if it was their last day on earth. Yeosang separated just a tiny bit, putting some distance between them so he could speak.
“I would spend the rest of my life with you, too, Sannie.”
And if San had had it clear before, he was now on hundred percent certain: he was going to marry Yeosang one day. He just had to find the right moment to propose. Although, for the time being, he was more than happy to keep kissing him as a reminder of their love.
