Chapter Text
The meet and greet was hectic, masses of screaming fans surrounding the fencing, waving their arms in a desperate attempt to feel the air the artists were breathing in.
Only 2D and Murdoc were there, the others too caught up in their own lives to submit to the crowds desires.
Some were pissed.
But me? That just meant a bigger oppurtunity to not be distracted by the other members and only focus on him.
Stuart Pots.
2D.
The very man I fixated my entire essence on. People thought I was deluded as he completely contradicted my style. His sharp-coloured blue hair, his dishevelled clothes which were all the rage in his band, his "bad boy" reputation. It went against everything I'd ever made myself to be.
But whatever… opposites attract right?
Yes, I'll admit I feel completely out of place in the pit with my pastel makeup and lace/frill get-up but it's what made me who I am. I wouldn't conform to the "Gorillaz stereotype look."
"Next!" said an intimidating man, who looked like he could kill everyone in the room in under 10 seconds.
And as I look around the dingy pit, I realise he was calling for me.
Me!!!
I walked up there, my cool composure skillfully masking my fear of screwing everything up. I mean, only thousands were watching this encounter.
No pressure… right?
I could feel the look of judgemental eyes searing into my back, the frenzied whispers doing nothing to settle my nerves. Nobody can hear anything, but I feel humiliated all the same.
"Love, 'ya sure you're at the right place? Princess convention was last week. Understand the mess-up 'tho. I am quite dazzling aren't I?" Murdoc said, batting his eyelashes at me.
2D nudges him, smirking, "Don't be a dick. Being horrible to this lady here won't make yours any bigger." he leans closer to me grinning, "You alright love?"
I nod at him unable to find any words that could muster how I was feeling. Instead, I pull out a keyring I'd made from blue pastel beads and my finest white lace. His whole face lit up in surprise.
"You made this for me, love?" He asks, his voice merely a breathless whisper.
"Yeah… its nothing really but I'd hoped that yo-"
"It's fucking brilliant." he pocketed it with extreme care, "Thanks darlin'."
And sadly, I was being ushered away by the scary thug-looking bodyguard, and my time with him was over. But when I looked back, he was out his chair and behind me, slip of paper in hand.
"Better not forget love."
Walking away, I gripped it tightly, in fear of losing it in the tsunami of fans. When I was away from the crowd, I loosened my grip on the paper, allowing myself to compose myself before opening it.
Out of all the girls I seen in my life, you're the prettiest one. Meet me later by the broken lampshade outside? 6 I'll be waitin'. Don't forget me love.
2D.
The handwriting was barely legible due to writing under duress but it made my heart scream all the same. He wants to meet… me. The girl who completely stood out and was more than likely mocked by the entire crowd.
Me!!!
All I had to do was stand still for half an hour and all my dreams would come true.
He would make that happen
Stuart fucking Pots.
