Chapter Text
The City of Townsville. On Christmas Eve, the workers were hard at work at Morbucks Emporium. Professor Utonium needed to make some extra money for the holidays, so he worked at the store.
“Merry Christmas, boss.” The Professor told Morbucks. Morbucks turned her swivel chair towards the Professor.
“Christmas?” Morbucks shrieked. “You think this is a game, do ya?” Morbucks was not happy.
“But boss, I need to spend Christmas with my girls! Christmas is the time to be with your family!”
“WRONG!” Morbucks yelled. “Christmas is about money, money, money, so if you are wasting my time, you’re wasting my money!” Morbucks was not pleased. “Christmas or no Christmas, you make me money! GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!” She threw her purple mug with a crown on it at the Professor when he left.
Later that night, in the Morbucks mansion, the little princess was asleep in her rich royal bed, in her purple nightgown.
“Morbucks!” A voice echoed. “Morbucks!”
“Be quiet you stupid disembodied voice!” Morbucks screeched. The source of the voice revealed itself to be Morbucks’s grandfather, Grandaddy Morbucks, who was shackled in chains.
“Grandpa?” Morbucks looked at the man. “I am so not digging the chains, not a good look for you.”
“Each link of these chains represents a horrible deed I have done, whether it be a bank heist, a carjacking or even petty theft.” Grandpa Morbucks mentioned. “I come to you to tell you that tonight, you will be visited by three spirits that will teach you the true meaning of Christmas.”
“Big deal.” Morbucks replied in a snarky tone. “Everyone knows the true meaning of Christmas is money.”
“SILENCE!” Grandpa barked. “If you do not do as they say, your chains will be twice as heavy as mine.” Grandpa’s ghost faded, while Morbucks decided to get some sleep, awaiting the first ghost.
