Despite having different personalities, Shinyu and Youngjae can still consider themselves as a safe place for each other.
When Youngjae started to be a trainee, he already has a cute aura wherein you will be attracted. When he is introduced to other trainees, he has a strong accent.
Junghwan was not there when a new trainee arrived because he is in another room and as an introvert it will be hard for him to introduce to the newcomer.
One day, Junghwan was praised by the mentors because of his improvement and it was posted on the bulletin board. He was very happy, that is why he proudly told the newcomer that the name there is him. He was thinking it was his way to introduce himself to him.
Years passed, Junghwan is still not close to the newcomer named Youngjae. He heard that he and other trainees went to Busan. He also wants to be close to him because he is talented, smart, hard-working and he is pretty. He thinks it is his first time to describe a guy as pretty but that is how he is. Youngjae is so beautiful in his eyes. Even though they don't talk, when he looks at him it feels like all of his worries lessen. What if he is an angel?
There is a weekly task and finally Junghwan and Youngjae are in one group. Junghwan doesn't know what he will say. He just looks at Youngjae leading their group.
“Junghwan hyung? hyung, do you also have some suggestions?” Youngjae asked.
Junghwan is very happy hearing his name from him.
He smiled and said some of his insights. From that day on, it became easy for them to communicate.
He also found out that they are living in the same neighborhood. That is why when there is an assessment for the debut team , Youngjae went to his house so that they can go together. They are worried because it is difficult for him to wake up and his noona who is living with him is not at home that day.
Youngjae brought some burgers to eat. They shared some stories. They realized they are totally opposite to each other. After that, they went to sleep.
When the members for the debut line up decide, they are both part of it so they have to move to a dormitory.
He wants to be his roommate at that time but Dohoon already told that him and Youngjae will be together. That is why he suggested to be roommates with a Chinese guy named Hanzhen.
The bubbly Youngjae is lessened because he is worrying if he can really debut. Sometimes he was crying at night where no one knows and no one can hear.He is becoming sensitive.
But one day while he was eating at the dining table, his tears suddenly fell. He was thinking it is not time for this, what if someone might hear and see him.
Just what he thought, someone really saw him crying. It is Junghwan. He has headphones on when he is going to the kitchen and suddenly sees Youngjae crying while eating.
He just let him cry. To be honest, he doesn't know how to comfort so he just continue walking to the refrigerator, gets two ice cream and gives one to Youngjae.
From that day, Junghwan usually give Youngjae food like candy, chocolate, ice cream or anything. It is his way to comfort him.
Youngjae can't sleep for weeks and all of the trainees in the room went to their respective house and only him, Hanzhen and Junghwan left because their house is too far.
It is also dark outside. He is scared to be left alone. He knocked softly to Junghwan and Hanzhen’s room.
“Can I sleep here?” He agreed immediately. He put his blanket on the floor for him to sleep there. Then Junghwan told him that it is cold there. It is not good for his throat and his body will ache afterwards. He suggested sleeping beside him.
“Are you sure?” Youngjae asked.
“Of course”
As Youngjae climbed in, the space between them vanished. In the quiet of the room, their breathing eventually synced. Youngjae felt the crushing weight of the debut lift, replaced by the steady warmth of the person next to him. They were opposites—the sun and the moon—but in that moment, they were each other’s only safe place in a world that was waiting to swallow them whole.
They have been sleeping with each other arms for 3 months but when you see them, they still seems so awkward to each other. But to be honest, they seems closer now than before. Because before, you can't see them together.Now, they might not talk but they took each other so well. Hanzhen is always bothered with the noise he heard every morning. The loud noise is none other than the alarm clock coming from Junghwan's phone. Even you shake Junghwan's body to wake him up, he is very hard to wake up. That is why he always turn the alarm clock himself. He looked for the his hyung's phone and found it under the bed. He turned it off and saw the lockscreen. The lockscreen is a photo of a guinea pig holding a strawberry. It is very cute. then he moved back to his own bed. He muttered to himself "I miss Youngjae hyung" . Youngjae is now in Gimhae because they are given day off and Youngjae will arrange somethings because his family is about to moved in Seoul that is what he heard. He miss his Youngjae hyung because since Youngjae started to sleep in their room, he now didn't bother by the alarm clock and wake his hyung up because Youngjae will always wake Junghwan up. Youngjae might be younger than Junghwan but he listened to him well. For Junghwan, everything that Youngjae said is true and for the benefit of everyone. One day, Youngjae is not the one who come in. It is Junghwan who went out of the room at 2 am. It was because Youngjae is sick so he just stays in the room where he was staying. Junghwan went to his room and lay beside him. Youngjae feel the warm embrace so he said in very low voice because Dohoon and Kyungmin are sleeping "Hyung, why are you here?" "Just sleep" He said and Youngjae is still waiting for the answer. "have you take your medicine?" Junghwan said moved closer to him. Youngjae nodded and they sleep together. Kyungmin and Dohoon are still sleeping when the two woke up. Youngjae woke up early because he said he has appointment with his doctor. Junghwan decided to wake up also to practice. The two of them go to the dining table to eat breakfast. Junghwan want to check the temperature of Youngjae so he want to touch his forehead but Youngjaw decline. "I'm okay now , hyung. you don't have to- " . Then, they saw Hanzhen already woke up who is now eating. "Good morning" Youngjae greeted him and sit beside him while Junghwan went to the kitchen to get some foods. "Are you sick hyung?" Hanzhen asked. "Last night yes but now I'm okay". Youngjae replied. Hanzhen thinks that 'Oh, that is the reason why Junghwan hyung is not on his bed earlier. Maybe he sleep to other room because Youngjae hyung is sick. ' Junghwan is now holding two cups of warm milk. He puts one in front of Youngjae and give him some toasted bread with strawberry jam. They are not talking to each other but you can see how Junghwan take care of him. Youngjae and Hanzhen continued talking while Junghwan is just silent. He go up from his sit and give tissue to Youngjae. He is like Youngjae's servant that doesn't have to be ordered because he knew what his master need and want. "By the way, are you free on Thursday?" Youngjae asked Hanzhen. "Let's go to the market so buy some foods. Hyung will also come." Hanzhen looked at Junghwan who is shocked because he doesn't know that. Then, Youngjae saw Junghwan so he said "Noona said that you have to tour me in Seoul. And I know you are free this Thursday." Junghwan's first noona told Junghwan to make Youngjae more familiar to Seoul via a phone call. Youngjae know that because he was beside Junghwan that time. He also know Junghwan's schedule. "So Hanzhen, you're coming right? C'mon. The more the merrier. It is just Kyungmin and Dohoon have classes that day. " Youngjae is sad because he usually got on trip with Kyungmin and Dohoon. But they can't go with them. That is the only day Youngjae is free from school and from practice. "Why you are not asking me if I also want to go?" Junghwan asked teasingly. "I know you will though because if you will not ,you will just sulk here." Junghwan just pout and drink the water that is on Youngjae's side then he refilled it for Youngjae. They shared one glass of water. That is the time Hanzhen is starting to think maybe they are dating. Because they might not show it but they are closer than what they imagined. Junghwan and Youngjae went outside together and went separate ways because Junghwan in the company while Youngjae in the hospital. Junghwan and the members thought, Youngjae went to the hospital to check up for his fever. But the reason he was here was because of his anxiety and OCD that he feel like becoming worst. He usually haven't take his medicines because of the pressure he is setting to himself. That is the reason why his parents want to moved to Seoul because they are worried to Youngjae. His older brother is very busy on his studies but when he has a check up he always went with him lile today.
When they moved to a new place, Junghwan and Youngjae became roommates. Yes, they are now roommates officially. The only change is Youngjae is starting to sleep in his own bed not on Junghwan's.
They should be closer but why is it not. They talked about their worries to each other but it seems like Youngjae is hiding something.
Youngjae always keep the room clean that is why even though he knew Junghwan doesn't want when people moved his things. For Junghwan, his things are still in order even though it is so messy. But he really can't endure it anymore. Sometimes, he is the one who is folding Junghwan's laundry. He always keep telling him to keep the room clean but Junghwan tend to agree then he will forgot it. Or sometimes he will clean but the next day his side will be messy again. That is why Youngjae decided to put a white curtain so that he will not see the messy that is bothering him. He also have to calm himself because he is starting to imitate the personality of the people that surrounds him that sometimes he forgot who is he. It is like in method acting where in you will feel that you are the character you are portraying even though you are not.That is also happening to the idol Choi Youngjae. That is why he usually want to be alone. It is already been two years since Junghwan and Youngjae became roommates. As a leader and older one, he can feel that Youngjae is hiding something with them. He is still not sure but he want Youngjae back the one who will sleep beside him and tell his tantrums. He knew that Youngjae and him are very different personality wise but even not him he wished Youngjae can open up to someone all his worries. Because that is what they have been doing. They always share their worries to Youngjae and he is like a counselor that will suggest some solutions if he have to. That is why when Youngjae is talking, they really pay attention because he only speak a very few. They want him to feel that you can be heard. One day, Jihoon found out Youngjae's illness. He also found out when it was started.
