“You're kidding. You've never done it?”
Noli laughed into their face as if sex was the most common hobby around right now. To, which be fair, was. Everyone in this college seemed to be a slut.
“To be fair, where was I supposed to get experience?”
Chance sighed as they took a sip of their wine. They felt embarrassed now, so they tried to flush it with the alcohol. Perhaps asking Noli out to hangout wasn't the best idea anymore.
“Gay bars? In your casino? Come on, you're rich and hot as fuck, seriously?”
Noli frowned with a confused grin on his face, as if it was obvious or the most clear thing in this world at the moment. Chance simply scoffed.
“I don't want someone who wants me for my money or looks, does that sound clearer to the mister oblivious?”
They were paid back with a glare.
“Nah. Holy shit, if I were you, I wouldn't waste a second. I could get anyone. Anyone! You're not living up to your fullest.”
Chance only sighed and finished their glass. Perhaps there was no talk with Noli about this when he was drunk. They just hoped their virginity or money wouldn't become the point of the whole talk tonight. They didn't ask him out for that.
“I'm fine with my life as it is, Noli.”
Chance smiled at him slightly. Noli made a grimace.
“Okay, whatever you say, I guess.”
For a moment, things got awkward. They simply stared at each other, Noli with a beer in his hand and Chance just… straight up staring. Their ears listened to the nearby folks’ stories.
“Do you come here often?”
Noli broke the silence suddenly, tracing the opening of his glass with his finger.
“No, not really, I mean I usually have stuff at home if I want to drink.”
Chance watching him closely.
“But you asked to hang out here. Why?”
Silence followed. For a moment, they simply wanted to shrug. It was easier than admitting they had the most embarrassing crush ever on him and if they didn't spend every second with him they'd combust. No, no way they can say that yet.
“You're fun.”
Noli blankly stared at Chance for a while before bursting out to laughter.
“I'm fun? That's it? Haaaah— hun, you're stupid.”
They opened their mouth to argue, but were cut off quickly.
“You're just lucky you're so cute. You know what they say, if you don't have the brains, better be a whore.”
“I'm not sure that's a saying at all.”
“Pfft, details.”
Noli shrugged, bringing the beer to his mouth once more and drinking the whole glass. Chance watching him with amused eyes, blowing a whistle in the end.
“Another?”
“Nah. You said you got something at home.”
They straightened immediately.
“You wanna… come to my house?”
Noli rubbed his chin intensely, narrowing his eyes on a painting behind them, thinking really hard about it. It entertained him for a whole five seconds before he replied.
“Duh. Can I?”
Chance’s mouth and heart worked faster than their brain. They didn't even register the yes they rattled out, simply Noli’s excited face. And the way he took their hand. After they paid, of course.
Their heartbeat was in their throat, and they blamed it on the alcohol.
—————
“Holy shit I'm jealous.”
Noli exclaimed as they stood in the white hallway of Chance’s apartment. They only let out a small snort as they put away their shoes and coat - including Noli’s -, letting him have a look around.
And Noli in fact did, as for when Chance just was about to turn their attention back to him, he was gone. So, they had a moment for themselves.
The first thing that made them panic was the reality of Noli being in their house. They've liked him for three years now, holding back since then, as he was dating Seven at the time. Him and them are good friends, though they both have their own friend group, they occasionally hangout. Each time they do, Chance’s heart just does a hundred backflips. But they never grew close enough to visit each other.
And here they are now.
Which was the reason they were grounding themselves with deep breaths while Noli looked around and came up with a hundred ways to insult their parents and casino. But they didn't mind, never from him. No insult held such a meaning from him.
As they started to flush thinking about him, he appeared in the hallway. Noticing Chance pressed against the wall, his expression turned into a frown quickly.
“Hey, you good?”
“Huh? Oh yeah, I'm not a lightweight, just… nervous, I guess.”
Noli laughed.
“It looks cleaner here than my toilet after I took a dump in it this morning, you're fine.”
Chance gave him a disappointed look before they both started giggling.
“My bad, my bad… Seriously though. This shit looks like royalty.”
Noli shook his head, taking a step closer to Chance. He reached out for their hand, an invitation in the end. It seems they stared too long at it.
“Oh, shit, whoops, sorry, just thought it might help.”
Noli stuck out his tongue and retreated his hand behind his back. It seemed like a force of a habit.
“No, no, I can… hold your hand.”
Chance quickly gulped down the unfortunate lump in their throat and reached for his hand, ignoring how stupid they may seem right now. They just would regret not holding his hand.
Noli looked down at their now intertwined fingers with a thoughtful look on his face, before smiling just slightly. Then, he tugged them.
“Come on, show me your bedroom. I didn't wanna go without you.”
Chance glanced at him for a while, at first out of shock, then studying his face, now just admiring his beauty. Though, they paid attention to the time now and nodded in time.
“Sure.”
They led him into the bedroom which was fairly smaller compared to the other rooms. Noli seemed to notice, as he pointed out the second they stepped in.
“Did your parents make you in the living room?”
Chance rolled their eyes with a grin on their face, calling them stupid. Noli only giggled as a response, dragging them both onto the bed. He was pleased the second he was laid down.
“Never fucking mind, oh my god, this is heaven, ahh.”
Chance decided to ignore the fake moan Noli let out in the end. Instead, they lay down next to him, soaking in their own mattress as if for the first time again.
“I love your bed.”
Noli confessed so seriously Chance actually burst out laughing, rolling on their side to look at him weirdly.
“You're so stupid.”
They rolled their eyes.
“You're stupidly handsome.”
“Thanks.”
“I’d kiss you.”
“...What?”
Noli didn't continue in the conversation, simply pouting his lips and closing his eyes, as if really awaiting a miss. Chance’s brain was going to short-circuit.
“Actually?”
A groan.
“Why are you so useless?”
Before Chance could reply, Noli gently put his hand on the back of their head and pulled them close. He paused just when their breathing started to mix, to give them the option to chicken out.
They didn't. Instead, they softly grabbed his cheek and finished the kiss.
Noli seemed to smile immediately into the kiss, letting out a huff before pulling them closer together, deepening their kiss. Chance sighed into it, but let themselves be pulled closer, wanting to be consumed whole. Despite tasting the alcohol, it felt like a dream came true. And they hoped it wasn't a game.
They spent tangled together for another few kisses before Noli finally pulled away, so he could catch his breath. Chance did the same, though slightly different.
Before the other could protest, they climbed up his lap and straddled his lips with a smile. Their hands already were bewildered, trailing all over his body and mainly his chest. Noli reached out for one of Chance’s hands, squeezing it softly, guiding it towards his mouth.
He placed his lips gently on their palm and they shivered under the touch. At first, Noli simply kept pressing kisses as Chance squirmed at each of them. Slowly, he pulled down, until they were lying on top of his chest.
“Hi.”
He whispered.
“Hello.”
They whispered back.
After such a short exchange, Noli pulled them into another short kiss. Then another and another, until Chance pulled away this time. Their heartbeat was beating so frantically they were sure Noli could feel it.
“What are we?”
Noli stayed silent after the question, simply staring into Chance’s soul. Then, he smiled.
“Whatever you want us to be.”
That didn't help their confusion. They buried their face into his chest, trying to disappear. His fingers slowly found their way into their hand, playing with the locks.
“Alright, honestly, I've liked you for a while now. I guess I… didn't get the courage. So. Yeah. Take it as you will.”
The usual confidence of Noli’s voice was gone, and Chance registered it immediately. They looked up at him with a small smile and an evident flush in their cheeks.
“I've liked you too, Noli. There's nothing I would like more than to be with you.”
His breath hitched loudly, swallowing down a lump that has stuck in his throat without him realising. Then, he leaned down and pressed a kiss against Chance’s cheek.
“There's nothing I would want more either.”
He whispered, to which he earned a giggle. And a kiss.
Chance pulled themselves up to get a better position, burying the two of them into the pillows with the heavy weight and meaning of their kisses.
And as things heated up, they did slow down eventually, melting from the high they've reached. They've somehow ended in a lazy and warm embrace, Noli’s hands resting on Chance’s hips, one of them rubbing slow circles into their side.
As Chance stared at him, he looked dazed. Happily. They didn't dare breathe at how magical he looked.
Then, Noli let out a chuckle.
“Hey, uh, you're crushing me for a while now by the way.”
Chance squeaked and immediately supported their weight from Noli’s chest before he grabbed their arms and pulled them down again.
“Never said I minded, though.”
He added, softly.
Chance rolled their eyes, though their cheeks felt warm.
The room went quiet again. They placed themselves in such a way they could listen to Noli’s heartbeat, steady but faster than average. They smirked at the realization, taking a deep breath to calm down on their own.
“Hey.”
Noli started, softly. Chance glanced up.
“Mind if I stay tonight? I really… would like to sleep by your side.”
It was said so quietly and shyly they almost didn't hear it. Thankfully though, they did, and they smiled so brightly as they placed a kiss on Noli’s shirt.
“Of course you can. You have the door open anytime.”
He smiled and pressed his lips against Chance’s forehead.
“Good. Cause the alcohol’s taking a weight on me.”
They both giggled and Chance curled into Noli’s chest as he wrapped his arms around them better, to secure them. He smiled into the embrace.
“Alright then. Sleep?”
They whispered softly, adjusting themselves just slightly better.
“Mhm.”
Noli hummed.
“‘kay. Night, Noli.”
Chance murmured, closing their eyelids as they grew heavier each second.
“G’night, Chance. Thanks for asking me out tonight.”
Their smiles lasted all the way into sleep and followed them into the morning.
