Jeong-won hated his brother, Doha, the first prince.
All he’d ever worked for, his studies and training, yet it was never enough to surpass him.
Hunger drives a predator to hunt.
So Jeong-won continued to strive to surpass his brother.

The Trials weren’t what he’d expected, but they remain challenging enough.
Challenging enough that even the first Prince was stumbling through them.
The chance to speak to his brother was interesting, truly a chance he couldn’t pass up.
Ayeon would still be there tomorrow. He could speak to him then.

Seeing his brother trapped in pain was the most satisfying thing he’d never dreamed he’d see.
He’d no hesitation in abandoning Doha to what Jeong- won hoped was lasting pain.

Ayeon made it to the final trial. Jeong-won was truly happy for him. His little brother had finally grown so much.
The attack was unexpected, and left him unable to continue the final trial.
He prayed he had enough strength to protect Aeon.

He’d never expected to survive, but he did. Ayeon and Yeong-gyeong watched over him until he woke up, something he’d not fully understood.
They left with him as well.
Jeok-yeon had become the victor, taking the throne and surpassing everyone unexpectedly.
A long era of peace began.
