Chapter Text
Shinso transferred to 2A recently, having moved into the dorms a couple days ago. He seemed to keep to himself most of the time, but he was nice whenever you bumped into him at school or in the dorms. Usually after school or on the weekends, he’d take any opportunity to disappear from the dorms. No one knew where he went, but he was always back before curfew. Hagakure was super curious, but didn’t want to pry too much. Fortunately she got some answers one early morning when she went out to jog around campus. It was a cool Sunday morning, so she didn’t need to worry about rushing back to get ready for class. Plus she needed to keep up the exercising, she was training to be a hero after all. And if she got weaker One for All might start breaking her bones again. That was the last thing she wanted. But it was on this Saturday morning that she saw Shinso, who was walking with a boy with wild green hair and sunglasses. She couldn’t help but notice the cane the green haired boy had, tapping it across the ground as they walked.
“And you said you wouldn't make any friends.” The green haired boy grinned, as he continued to look ahead with his cane tapping as they went.
“I don't know what you're talking about.” Shinso grumbled with a light blush on his cheeks.
“Oh, come on! You never shut up about your new class. Especially this Kaminari. I mean, what was it you said yesterday?”
“Shut up.”
“No, it wasn't that.”
“Maybe it should've been.”
“Oh don't be so embarrassed! Crushes are natural, you know?”
“Why are you like this?”
The green haired boy giggled at Shinso who was squirming a little next to him, but still stayed close to the boy's side. “I don't know. Why are you so embarrassed?”
Shinso groaned as the other boy continued to giggle. He goes to open his mouth to retort, but stops and looks down. “We're coming up to some steps now.”
“Oh. We must be close to the dorms now, right?”
“Pretty close, yeah.”
Hagakure watched as Shinso helped the boy up the stairs, her mind going a mile a minute. She just got the hottest tea in the entire class! Shinso likes Kaminari? What?! That's absolutely adorable. And who's the boy with him? She didn't have much left of her run, so she decided to tag along for a bit. Ever since she gained One for All, she was able to make her clothes and such invisible too. Made it easier to blend in without having to wear nothing, which was a much appreciated improvement. She thought she was being so stealthy, I mean there's no way they could see her. And yet the green haired boy stopped walking, Shinso stopping with him.
“What's wrong?” Shinso looked around and saw nothing.
“We have a guest, you can't see them?”
Shinso shakes his head. “No, can you sense them?”
Midoriya nods. “I can hear them, they're right behind us. You think they're from your class? Who was that invisible one again?”
“Hagakure?”
Hagakure was so shocked she let her concentration slip, her clothes being revealed.
“Ah, I see her now. Well, what she's wearing anyway.” Shinso turns to face the girl. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, be nice Shinsou. I'm sure she was just curious is all.” The boy turned around to face Hagakure’s direction. “Hello there, my name’s Midoriya Izuku. Are you Hagakure? Hitoshi’s classmate?”
She's surprised she managed to speak, no one's ever been able to see her coming. Let alone hear her. “Yeah… H-How did you do that?”
“Do what?” Midoriya asked, smiling as he tilted his head to the side.
“You knew I was there!”
“Oh, that's my quirk. As you can see, I'm very blind.” He motions to the cane he carried. “But my other senses are heightened.”
“That's putting it lightly.” Shinso smiled as he addressed Midoriya. “You can probably hear the heartbeats of anyone nearby.”
Midoriya chuckles, not bothering to turn and face Shinso. “I suppose I could.”
“That's… insane. Really cool, but insane."
The green boy smiled. ”I guess that is an apt description. So what brings you here with us, Hagakure?”
“Oh!” She completely forgot about why she was here! She had to get more details! She turned to Shinsou, who was only slightly glaring at her. However she was undeterred. “You like Kaminari?!”
Shinso spluttered as he blushed, turning his face away to glare at Midoriya who was openly laughing at his friend's plight.
“Oh Hitoshi, you're not as stealthy as you thought!”
“She probably heard you.” He grumbled, not making a move to deny it.
“And yet, even if she hadn't she'd have found out sooner rather than later. I'm blind, and even I can see it.”
“Shut up.” Shinso looked about ready to bury himself in the ground as Midoriya continued to laugh.
Hagakure however was not satisfied. “I need more details!”
Shinso went to retort, but was interrupted by Midoriya. “Then why don't you join us? Hitoshi’s walking me back to my dorm.”
“Which course are you in?” Hagakure asked.
“General Education.” Midoriya said with a smile. “That's how Hitoshi and I met.”
“Really?” Shinso looked ready to bolt.
“You could do with talking to your classmates more. I'm not around to help you anymore.”
“I can talk just fine.”
“Yes, you can. To anyone but Kaminari apparently.”
Shinso spluttered even more as his blush grew darker, yet he didn't move from the boy's side and held onto his arm as they walked. Hagakure walked alongside them, admittedly curious about the green haired teen.
“Sooooo…” Hagakure dragged out the word, leaning forward as they walked. “Shinsoooooo…”
“I’m not saying anything.”
Midoriya giggled at his side. “That was the wrong response Hitoshi.”
“I’m still not saying anything.”
“Then I will!” Midoriya grinned as he turned his head slightly towards Hagakure. “Kaminari was the first person to talk to him, right?”
Hagakure beams at the boy as she speaks, though none of them can see it they definitely felt the energy. “Yes! They seemed pretty close, even if Shinso stayed mostly quiet.”
“I’m sure he was just nervous. He’s a total softie once you get to know him!”
“Izuku.” Shinso groaned as he put his head in his free hand, the other still on Midoriya’s arm.
“See what I mean?” Midoriya’s grin was only slightly feral.
Hagakure nodded vigorously. “I do!” Hagakure put her hand to her chin, thinking for a moment. “Though he doesn’t talk to many of our class outside of Kaminari... I can see it.”
“I should’ve never walked with you.” Shinso complained.
“Oh you love it!” The blind boy beamed. “You know you’ve been able to tease me for plenty. It’s not my fault you moved classes!”
Shinso feigned annoyance, yet he made no move to leave and he did have a faint smile on his face. “We’re here.” He said as they arrived at Class 1C’s dorm.
“It’s been fun as always!” Midoriya turned to face the two. “Thank you for accompanying me, Hitoshi. Hagakure, it was lovely to meet you!”
“It was great to meet you too! We should do this again!”
“Well you know where I am! Don’t hesitate to come ask for me.” The boy smiled at them, before turning and walking into his dorms. It took him a moment to feel around the door for the handle, but he eventually found it and soon was inside the dorm.
“You never told me you had such a cool friend!” The invisible girl beamed at Shinso as they walked back to their dorm.
“He’s a brat.” Hagakure chuckled at his response, but he continued with a small smile. “But I guess he’s pretty cool.”
