Zanka, Rudo, Gris, and Tomme were walking around near a town, apparently an emergency was called in from here and they were chosen for the mission, not many people because Semiu and Enjin thought the two were strong enough to handle this. So far though they've seen no sign of any trash beast there.
"I dont see any trash beasts anywhere"
"Me neither" Zanka sighed, he's had Lovely Assistaff unactivated for a while now, not seeing any threat.
"Cant we just leave weve been walking around forever. And im kinda hungry"
"We cant jus' leave on a job Rudo" Zanka also wanted to go, but if they left on a job they might get in trouble. Plus, if there was actually one theyd just have to come back.
"If we dont see one in another half hour we'll head back, we shouldnt stay forever" Gris chimed in.
"Its getting tiring walking around" Tomme flipped through her notebook, looking at her past notes of different trash beasts.
"Ughh" Rudo kicked a rock, knocking it against a trash pile, suddenly getting an idea. He looked up at Zanka with his ugly smile.
"You really gotta work on that, imma get nightmares"
Rudo suddenly slapped zanka on the arm, yelling something about 'tag!' Before running off, moving his legs as fast as they could go.
"WHAT??" Zanka yelled after him, putting his staff on his back and chasing him down. He never really got to play it when he was little, having to study and train a lot while living with the hellguard. He only ran around once with riyo a while ago.
"Dont go too far!" Gris called after them with a smile while they ran off, slapping the other and running away before they could get tagged back.
"WHY ARE YOU SO FAST? YOURE CHEATING!"
"MAYBE IF YOU STOPPED EATIN SWEETS YOU'D BE FASTER" Zanka ran ahead of Rudo, a smile on his face.
Rudo jumped at him and clipped zankas ankle with his hand, quickly getting back up and running away before zanka could turn around and get him from the ground.
Rudo jumped over pieces of trash and glanced behind him a couple times to see zanka catching up, on one glance back he tripped.
Zanka ran up and flicked him on the head "tag" running off from Rudo getting up from the ground.
"Turd face! That wasnt fair i fell!" He followed behind Zanka, reaching out his gloved hand.
There was no more ground
Rudo's foot slipped through nothing and was falling head first through a portal to who knows where. "Hah"
Zanka turned around hearing Rudo. Realizing what was happening, he fully turned and dove down, grabbing his foot to pull him back up. Tomme and Gris sprinted towards them, still too far away.
"Pull me up already!" Rudo yelled, flailing his arms trying to grab Zankas hand.
"Im tryin idiot!"
Zanka's hand slipped slightly, then holding more onto Rudo's shoe, which made Rudo start yelling more. Gosh could he ever stop yelling?
Rudos shoe slipped off his foot and he plummeted farther into the portal. The lack of weight Zanka was holding make him reel back.
"Shit! Rudo!" He reached out his hand without the shoe just as the portal closed, grabbing sand.
Gris and Tomme evetually got to where Rudo had disappeared, both panting. The two of them playing tag had definitely made lots of distance between the two groups.
Zanka was already looking around the trash piles for another person, Lovely Assistaff off his back and activated. Obviously a giver was behind this, a trash beast couldn't ever make portals.
"Tomme go look over there, they can't be far" Gris pointed to some place away from them while he started walking to another trash pile to help Zanka look for who could be behind this.

They looked for hours, or at least thats what it felt like. It was already dark now and Zanka was still looking around for even the slightest trace of another person that was out there, or maybe even Rudo who could've just been hiding behind a trash pile. He really did care about Rudo, even if he tried to make it seem like he didn't. Gris had made a call to Enjin and explained the situation after 30 minutes of them looking. Tomme went back to the car after maybe an hour and half of looking, also upset about not being able to find Rudo.
"Zanka" Gris rested a hand on one of Zanka's shoulders
"We should go, its getting dark"
"But-"
"We will look tomorrow. Promise"
Zanka glared at him for a few seconds "Fine" he shrugged off Gris's hand from his shoulder and started walking to the car. He was still holding the shoe that slipped off Rudo's foot.
Once he got there Tomme gave him a soft, understanding smile from the passenger's seat.
Zanka bowed his head in acknowledgement, he was mad but he wasn't gonna be rude. And sat in the back seat of the car.
Once the, now three, of them arrived at the cleaner headquarters, Zanka shoved Rudo's shoe in his bad and quickly got out of the car and walked inside.
Enjin, Riyo, and Follo were waiting for them at the front desk where Semiu was sitting.
"Hey kid" Enjin reached out and ruffled Zankas hair. "You guys were out there for a while, Riyo was about to drive there herself" He glanced up as Gris and Tomme walked in through the door.
"You liar" Riyo punched his shoulder "I was just about to go eat some dinner"
"Its 9"
"Whatever! Zanka! Im glad youre back!" Riyo changed the subject, now also leaning on Zanka.
"Hey Zanka, mind tellin us what exactly happened out there? Since you and Rudo were closest when he vanished" Semiu put her magazine down, adjusting her classes.
"Oh sure" Zanka pushed both Enjin and Riyo off him, earning some laughs from the two. "We were runnin around, kinda far from Tomme and Gris? When Rudo fell through a portal."
"Another giver?" Follo questioned
"I think so"
"Did you guys ever find the trash beast that you went out for?" Semiu asked.
"No, there wasn' any sign of one"
"We were walking around for hours looking for it before Zanka and Rudo started playing tag" Gris said, now standing by Enjin.
"Zanka was playing tag??" Enjin grinned, poking Zanka on the shoulder.
"SHADDUP!" he slapped his hand away "it was jus' to kill the time or whatever" he crossed his arms, shooting Gris a mean look.
"Whenever i ask you're always 'too busy'" Riyo made air quotes, pouting.
"Cuz i am!" Zanka retorted "Im goin to bed"
"Already?" Enjin raised a brow, usually he has to drag Zanka to bed because he's always up training.
"I wanna get up early tomorrow" Zanka shrugged, starting to walk away
Enjin tapped his arm before he got too far, "hey"
"Hm?"
"He's a tough kid, he'll be fine"
"I know" he started walking away again, this time successful, and Riyo trotted after him, striking up a conversation.
"You should go to bed too, he's gonna try to drag you out of bed tomorrow to drive him there" Gris bumped Enjins shoulder with his.
"Yeah yeah" Enjin shooed him with his hand.
Eventually they all dispersed from the front desk to their rooms, tired from the day. They were going to have a long day tomorrow too.

Rudo yelled as the shoe slipped off his foot, he could hear Zanka yelling for him as the portal closed up and he fell further.
He eventually emerged out the other side, blinded by the sun for a second. He crashed into someone else in the way down, making them both collide with the ground.
"Oof, ow" the person lying under him exclaimed.
Rudo opened his eyes, and sat up off them with a groan, he turned around, finding himself looking at a kid roughly around the same age, with green hair.
"What-" The green haired kid was interupted by Rudo pushing them away
"Where am i? What did you do?" Rudo raised his voice
"I-"
"Answer me you turd face!" Rudo yelled at the kid
"Woah woah he didn't do anything" an older person, skinny with yellow hair and a white baggy shirt loosely pulled back Rudo by his hood.
"Did you??" Rudo stood up, oh yeah he didn't have a shoe.
"No-"
"Then leave me alone!" Rudo shoved past him, looking around at the alarmingly tall buildings that surrounded him and the clear sky above. How was there this many tall buildings without any roof over the city?
"Wait!!" The green haired kid yelled after him
Rudo walked away from them, off the sidewalk, as other people started telling him to stop. What were these peoples problem?
Rudo turned his head as a car headed straight for him, pulling his hands up in a defensive posistion as if that was gonna do anything. The car narrowly missing him because they slammed on their brakes and swerved.
Even more cars behind that one also slammed on their breaks, yelling angrily. Why were there so many cars?
The yellow skinny man from before yanked Rudo back from the road by his hood "what are you doing?? You can't walk out onto the road like that!"
"Tch" Rudo looked around more. This looked.. way different from the ground.
"You guys clean alot around here?"
"Huh?"
"Theres barely any trash"
"Well yeah we try to keep it clean?" The green haired kid looked awfully confused.
"Mh" Rudo huffed, crossing his arms. "Can you guys just bring me back to cleaner headquarters?"
"To where?" The green haired kid looked down at Rudo's feet, noticing his missing shoe.
"Gosh are all of you stupid? The cleaners headquarters"
"Thats not really an actual place" The kid lifted his hand and scratched his head, sneaking a glance to the skinny man who still had a hand on Rudo's hood.
What? "Am i still, like, on the ground?" He knows the sphere doesn't look like this, people didn't dress like this. But the ground doesn't look like this at all either.
"Uh, yeah?" The kid smiled awkwardly
"Are you lost? We can bring you to the police station" The man said, finally letting go of his hood.
"Yeah ok" Rudo had no idea what a police station was, but if it would keep him from staying lost it couldn't have been bad.
The green kid and yellow man glanced at each other before guiding Rudo along with them. They both seemed awfully friendly.
Oh right the choker! Rudo brought a hand up to the red choker around his neck, "Hello?"

"Zanka?"

He waited for a few second before dropping his hand, giving up. He had gotten questionable looks from the two people who were bringing him to the station, which was weird, he was just trying to talk to someone on his choker.
"Soo, where are you from?" The green kid questioned. Apparently the silence was too awkward for him.
"Oh uhh" he shouldn't say the sphere right? "I.. just live at cleaners headquarters"
"Ah" the green kid nodded, still very confused. "Whats your name?"
"Rudo"
"Cool! Mines Midoriya. Hey i like your gloves! Did you make them?"
"No, they were a gift from my dad"
"Aw that sounds sweet!" This kid is kinda weird, and awfully skinny. Midoriya wondered where he came from and why he was missing a shoe, and why he has tried talking to.. no one, to his choker.
They eventually arrived at the gas station after a long questioning from Midoriya. They entered it and the yellow man went up to the desk while Midoriya brought Rudo to a couple chairs, "it might be a little"
The yellow man finished talking to the lady working the desk, then sitting down with the two of them.
Midoriya kept sneaking glances at Rudo, noticing his white hair fading to black, and the symbol on his jacket and yellow bracelet thing.
"What?" Rudo side eyed him
"Oh sorry! Your clothes are just odd, is that the cleaner headquarter symbol?" Midoriya pointed to the yellow cloth around Rudo's arm.
"Oh uh, yeah it is"
Midoriya smiled and went back to looking at a little rectangle, the screen glowing. Rudo will ask about that later.
Eventually, a man, wearing a blue uniform, with many pockets, comes out of a door leading to the back of the building, "Rudo?"
Rudo nodded and stood
"You two can come back too if you want" he addressed Midoriya and the yellow man, which made them stand and follow Rudo back with him.
They each sat in a chair in a small room, possibly an office from the looks of it, the man working there sitting across from the three.
"So, Rudo right?" The officer pointed at Rudo, who nodded.
"Do you remember your address or parents numbers?" He asked, a soft smile on his face, as he took out a notebook from one of the desk drawers.
"I uh.. i live at Cleaners headquarters" parents numbers?
"And parents age?" Rudo scrunched his face.
"Ah no, not age, phone numbers, so you can call them"
Ohh, "Oh yeah, i tried calling them on my choker but all there was is static, i think im too far"
"Your choker?"
"Yeah"
"How does that work?" The officer started writing things down.
"You hold it and talk, like this" Rudo brought up a hand to the choker, but all he recieved was static, like before.
"Ah ok" he wrote down some more things in the notebook, turning to the yellow man. "You said he fell from a portal in the sky?"
"Yes"
"Hm" Wrote in his notebook again, "what are your parents names?"
"Uh" He'd say Regto, but that wouldn't really help, maybe.. "Enjin" He counted right? "And Gris"
"Thank you"
"Id like to talk to you outside" he spoke now to the yellow man, "You kids can stay in here" The officer still had that soft smile on his face, but it was now mixed with a bit of worry. He stood and walked out of the office with the yellow man.
"I think it might be an attempted kidnapping. The portal? It could've been someones quirk and they were trying to take him but he made it somewhere else"
The yellow man nodded
"It would also be impossible to know where he lives or who his parents are because he has no clue his address or parents numbers, we might have to keep him with someone until we find them"
"Yeah that sounds good, where are you guys putting him though?"
"I dont know yet, id have to talk with my boss"
"Ah"
The officer nodded and headed back towards the office door, opening it to Rudo and Midoriya talking to each other, both looking up and going to walk out of the room.
Once they reentered the lobby a women, also with green hair, walked over to them, beeming. "Izuku! Hi honey, oh is this Rudo?"
"Hi mom! Yeah, it is"
"Hi" Rudo greeted her and was met with a smile
"The officers don't know where to put Rudo until they find his parents yet" the yellow man told them.
"He could stay with us!" Midoriya smiled, he got it from his mom for sure.
"Only if its ok with you Ms. Midoriya" The yellow man said.
"Oh of course! Is that alright with you dear?" Ms. Midoriya asked Rudo in a soft manner.
"Yeah thats fine, i guess" Rudo said, not seemingly as excited as Midoriya, but he was grateful for his mom's kindness.
The yellow man walked up to the officer, who has been talking to the lady at the front desk, letting him know where Rudo will be staying, and Midoriya's mom also walked over there to give the officer her number in case the police did happen to find Rudo's parents.
The, now four, of them walked out of the police station. Ms. Midoriya thanked the yellow man and officer, then walking the two boys to her car. As the two got in Midoriya waved to the yellow man and buckled in. Rudo never got the yellow mans name.. oh well.
They arrived at the Midoriya's home. It was small but seemed comfortable.
"We don't have a guest bedroom, im sorry, so you'll have to sleep on the couch until i can get another mattress. Dont worry we have lots of extra blankets" Ms. Midoriya reassured Rudo. She told Midoriya to get some blankets and a pillow and to set them up on the couch for him while she makes dinner.
Rudo was left just to look around the place, so he walked around, looking through closets and finding the bathroom.
Midoriya, on the way to the couch with the blankets and pillow, caught Rudo and took him with to the couch.
Rudo sat down next to the blankets as Midoriya went to help his mom in the kitchen.
Rudo was just about to fall asleep, very very tired from the day, but was interupted by Midoriya and his mom coming from the kitchen with dinner. Once everyone was seated they all started eating, and it was very delicious.
Staying here for a bit wont be too bad. Right?
