Notes:

Hello! This is my first work of fanfiction on Ao3 that I hope turns into many! I lean heavily into angst and darker topics, so if your into being ripped to pieces then blended, please consider sticking around for my journey!
I hope this turns out as well as I want it to, and even if many dont read it, I still hope that you as the reader(s) enjoy this as much as I did writing it!
Without keeping you longer, enjoy!
EDIT:
I changed the name to resonate with it a bit better!
EDIT again!
I seriously cant decide between the two names, I'm so sorry!

Chapter 1: Just a Recap, Don't You See?

Chapter Text

Dazai Osamu...
A tall, infuriatingly annoying man by anyone who knew him, though no one in the Port Mafia would ever admit that... well, that's what Dazai thought until he met someone he would know to hate.
Nakahara Chuuya.
An annoying, childish, infuriating... ... it was safe to say, Dazai was not fond of the man. But there was something about his attitude, how he dared to defy the demon prodigy... that captivated him. Though, Dazai would never admit this by any normal means.
So, Dazai let everyone believe that he only enjoyed the reactions he got from the short anger issued man. And, dont get him wrong-he DID enjoy Chuuya's reactions. Something about how he always blew up at Dazai, how easily he could be angered, and the reactions he received somehow always managed to make his day... lighter, in a way.
However this by no means meant he had wanted to work with the man. But, unsurprisingly, what Dazai did not want always seemed to happen. And damned Mori just *couldn't* keep his hands off making Dazai's life miserable. Miserable in crime. Miserable in amusement. Together for days when they couldnt even be in the same room for more than minimum thirty minutes.

But nonetheless, together they were. In the time they worked together, three years to be precise-they hated eachother more, and more and so, so much *more*... but eventually they werent even sure what for. The nicknames, the fights, the arguements, the stolen vulnerable moments they only had with one another... those were real. Real in a way that neither of them agreed on, nor wanted to acknowledge.

And so, the story goes as told, as we all know. They worked together in misery, connecting in a way they would with no other, the perfect match...

Soukoku, Double Black...
Forever tied, in life...

And in Death.
