Ah, the summer, there's no school, it's overall a good time for extroverts like her! Outside of her extrovert life, seems like she feels something towards Hitori, especially during band practice. She can't tell what it is, it's nothing like the admiration she had for Ryo, maybe even stronger. She felt Hitori had been a very special case, she was always that one girl who hadn't spoken to many people, nor did she have any friends. She wanted to get to know her more, it seemed interesting. Who could Hitori Gotoh really be?
Finding out wasn't hard. She wasn't disappointed by what she found out, but she thought her social anxiety was kind of cute; she had felt it was sweet, even. As the days went on through the summer, it was almost ending. All throughout the days, she had been writing secret love letters to Hitori, but she always hid them, and she has never shown anyone the papers, and nobody has seen it either, leaving it there for nobody to see. One day, she decides to check the amount of papers she had made.
Kita went to her drawer, it's only been opened to store the letters in, no one checks on anyway, so she hid all the letters there, and only used it for that specifically.
"Ah! I've written so many already! I can't give these many letters to her...she'll melt and become a blob from all the different emotions! But what should I do with these...?" Kita thinks out loud, where at this point she's speaking it out.
Kita is confused, what should she do with the letters? It's a lot, I can tell you that. But she feels as if it needs to be used up somehow, she won't leave all the letters in the drawer, there will be too many.
"Whatever...I guess I'll just go to practice again for now, I can't be late!" Kita realizes, it's gonna start in a while, so she gets her gig bag, not realizing she had also left a few letters in there.
But it's too late for her to know that, she just needs to get there before it starts. It might be too late for that though...Oh well, maybe she'll make it in time.
Kita took a while to get there, she didn't make it in time, but she was 15 minutes late, which isn't bad. Considering she had almost forgotten about practice, I'd say that one was actually quite decent. Kita opened the door, and saw them playing the songs for their next gig, waved, entered, and waited for them to finish playing.
The playing ended, it turned out quite well, but felt missing without the Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, or the playing from Kita Ikuyo.
"Hey guys! I'm sorry I was late, I eh- Uh- forgot about practice! But...did I miss anything?" Kita asked, looking at everybody else.
Hitori looks at Kita, but she doesn't say anything
"You didn't miss that much! We only tried the first song so far...which wasn't as good. But you're here now! Come on!" Nijika responds, basically welcoming her in
The band gets their instruments ready again
"3...2...1" Nijika counts down
Nijika starts playing, with everyone following along, the song is starting to get put together, which is actually kind of good. But there was one problem, Kita was playing way faster than the others.
While Kita was playing though, her heart was beating quicker than usual, like she felt excitement. Now this could just be from the playing, but she didn't take that as an answer. She felt as if it was more. Especially with the tons of letters she wrote to Hitori, speaking of which, she realizes there's some in her bag.
As the playing continues, Kita sometimes gets in sync, but she usually becomes faster again after a few seconds. After a while, they finish the first song.
"Okay!...That wasn't really nice, but practice makes perfect everyone, have a short break...alright?" Nijika tells the band.
Nijika's a bit concerned, why is Kita's playing...off? Unusual, if you will. She decides to go and check up on her. Nijika walks up to Kita.
"Hey. Your playing isn't your usual self, what happened? No offense." Nijika says, kind of out of the blue.
Kita quickly responded, even if her head was a mess internally.
"Hi- I-" Kita stutters in saying many random words, she is unaware of what she is currently saying right now.
"Are you okay? You're turning into Bocchi! What happened? Kita, hello?" Nijika is in a bit of awe, but also taking interest in Kita's behaviour.
"Oh- Eh- it's nothing! I- I'll get to work immediately!" Kita is panicking, she's trying to make up for it.
Hitori is watching, very confused...'Is Kita just like her?' She thought to herself, with the thought quickly being replaced by her other one: 'Kita is the most social person ever! She has so much friends...there's no way she can be socially anxious.'
Kita grabs her guitar and starts practicing different chords and techniques. She's working really hard now
"I've never seen Kita like this...Bocchi, do you notice anything weird with her lately?" Nijika is curious, why is Kita acting more shy and timid?
"A-A- I don't know...I never seen Kita like this..." Hitori replies to Nijika, also unsure of what is going on with Kita.
Kita is practicing really hard, she was starting to get way better, but they're confused, what is it for? To impress Ryo? Just for no reason? But why?
As Kita is practicing, Ryo walks over and asks her about the sudden eagerness to practice.
"hey kita, what's up with you? why did you get so motivated to practice a lot?"
Kita stops playing for a moment, and pauses for a little while, only to get flustered a little bit, and just goes on and practices more again, like nothing was said.
Hitori, confused on what's happening, was thinking too much about it, then she get lost in her own thoughts as well.
'Why is Kita playing so much more now?' 'Is she trying to become better...? Replacing me?!' 'I can't lose like this...'
'Maybe she's just a little nervous...I can't figure it out unless I...ask.'
Hitori decides to gather up a bit of courage, and at the very least ask Kita if she's "okay". A bit later on, after gathering courage, she went up to Kita
"H-Kita...? Are...you, okay?" Hitori asked, quite nervous to ask Kita.
Kita is blushing now, not expecting Hitori, out of everyone to ask her, if she's doing okay. Especially since she knows Hitori had taken a lot of effort to walk up to her and ask, but despite that, she still did.
"Hitori-Chan, I...uhm, yes. I'm okay..." Kita responded, you can see a faint blush starting to form on her cheeks.
"What happened? Why are you...eh- nervous...?" Hitori asked, quite tense, and also a little confused on what Kita is actually feeling right now
"Oh it's nothing, don't worry about it!" Kita said to Hitori
Nijika and Ryo are listening to the conversation, interested on what is currently going on with Kita
"You seem...tired? If you're going home, I can- I can help you with carrying the bag.." Hitori suggests, trying to be as much of a help as she can
"Ah! Sure I guess...I'd like that." Kita liked the thought of Hitori trying to help her, even if it wasn't much
Practice is about to end anyway, so Kita might as well should pack her stuff now, what can you even go and do in a minute?
They didn't end up getting so far with the song progress, Hitori picked up Kita's gig bag, waiting for Kita to get up, it appears they will be walking home together I guess, Hitori was very nervous this entire time though
While Hitori was checking her gig bag for anything missing, she opens the zipper to see if she's missing any wires, and then a bunch of letters fall out the bag. It seems to have Hitori's name written on all of them. What's going on now?
"Kita-San, what is all of this?!" Hitori watches many envelopes fall. What could this be? Plans?! Is she going to overtake my career...? I really hope not! Then she sees her name on one of them, decorated with hearts and kisses? Oh now she's curious.
"C-can I read one of these...?" Hitori asked Kita, blushing a little, but trying to hide it
Kita then giggles a little bit, and then she grabs one
"One of these? I mean, sure I guess...?" Kita is a little nervous, but she'll let her read one of them
Hitori grabs one of the letters, kind of nervous, then she reads it.

" Dear Hitori, This is one of those letters I know you're not a fan of, but I wanted to always say:
I never thought I'd fall for you, but you're amazing at guitar as well! I've always thought that it was just me making things up. One time, in another one of my romance spiraled thinking sessions, I saw you less as a friend or best friend, and more like a lover or girlfriend.
As we practiced together, I felt like I was underwhelmed with the interaction, although I certainly am thankful for the lessons, really! Even if it wasn't for that long, I did enjoy being with you in our practice a lot!
Many sleepless nights over you, eyes still tired, only thinking of you only. I appreciated every second with you. You were really cute when you were shy and nervous. I like that about you. And even if we'll meet again many more times, I'll still be supporting you, and I want us to play together, for as long as we pursue our music. (careers)
I'm starting to realize you're someone that has the skill. I'm jealous, but also admiring you, even if you don't know it. I'm just glad I met someone like you
I love you, Hitori Gotoh, even if you don't feel the same way, I'll still love you, as long as I can. :) "

Hitori was reading through it all. She was struck dumb on how Kita truly felt about her. But she also felt the same way, just too nervous to say anything, hoping it wouldn't ruin anything between them.
"Kita-San...Kita-Chan, I've wanted to tell you this for so long. But I didn't want to change anything between us...especially since I have such a good bandmate as a friend, or best friend...especially since you care so much about me. I love you too Kita!" Hitori finally got this off her chest, it's not much, but she definitely wanted to say it."
Hitori quickly felt a sense of regret, did she say too much?! She feels a need to take it back, but Kita didn't
"Hitori-Chan..."
Kita quickly runs up to her and greets her with a big hug
"I can't believe it!! Thank you so much!" Kita was really happy to hear that she liked, or loved her too. She never thought this day would arrive
Hitori is a little excited, but she doesn't wanna show it
"I've always uh- Nevermind, Uhm...I love you!" Hitori gets a little carried away, then without noticing, she had leaned in for a kiss
Kita's heart had started to race, although the timing was a little awkward, she had waited for times like these, she accepted the kiss, and leaned in as well.
Kita presses onto her, while Hitori's soft fingers caress her hair. They look at each other in the eye, it seems they both have the same intent: Make the most of it. Kita takes this as an opportunity, and pins her down to the floor, lips joined together. This is all they could ever dream of, Hitori never expected something like this her entire life. Does someone actually love her that way?
'Hitori...you've become everything to me' Kita thinks to herself
This isn't done yet, not that fast. Kita wants to make sure they would never forget this. She savors Hitori's body. This becomes a unique experience for the both of them. Caught in the moment, Kita takes off Hitori's tracksuit, that reveals a white shirt underneath. The smell of sweat takes over the air between them. They pause, having locked eyes for a little, letting it sink in.
'I'm seen as important to someone..' Hitori smiles a little at the sheer thought of it
Kita's always the type of person to enjoy romance, but this feels like a deeper connection. In the excitement, she nibbles on her ear, with her hands exploring Hitori's body, while she gazes into Hitori's eyes.
Eventually, she pulls away, Hitori lies down on the floor, completely limp. She thinks of Kita's soft touch, a satisfaction she could never explain. She isn't complaining though, that was amazing.
Would the band even look at them the same after this...?
"Hitori? Uhm...are you awake?" Kita was a bit taken aback from Hitori laying completely unconscious
"I guess I went a little overboard, huh?" Kita snickered to herself, while checking on Hitori just in case anything went wrong.
Ryo and Nijika, had watched all of this happen, with the both of them standing like a deer in the headlights.
"someone's a little excited?" Ryo said to Kita teasingly
Kita realizes that they're both at STARRY; Seika, the manager had walked in at the wrong time, with Kita still on top of Hitori
"What are you doing?" Seika looks worried, Hitori looked like she had made out with Kita, might not be wrong though.
Nijika is at a loss for words, too stunned to speak, so Ryo instead took the lead, and told her directly.
"they were kissing...maybe really passionately, see for yourself"
"No thank you."
Hitori opens her eyes, to see Kita on top of her, with Ryo, Nijika, and the manager just watching
"Ahhhh!! Don't look.. This is all a misunderstanding, I swear!" Hitori doubles down, she knows she can't hide it anymore, but she's trying to save herself from embarrassment.
Kita quickly gets off Hitori, and sits down next to her like nothing had happened.
"Good afternoon ma'am!" Kita is already embarrassed, she knows they saw everything.
"Well uh- we'll get going now! Practice is done right?
Nijika still stunned, the least she can do is at least reply to them with "Yes..."
Hitori gets up, and looks at the letters on the floor. She then scrambles to get them all, so she can put it back. After what seemed like a bit, she finishes packing up Kita's gig bag, and helps Kita with bringing it home.
"Wait! Before you go, let me ask something!" Nijika regained her composure, and quickly caught up to them
"Kita! your playing and behaviour earlier, was it cause of Hitori? Did you feel the need to tell her?"
Kita notices that Nijika has caught on, it may be obvious now anyway.
"Yes...I had that feeling for so long, and I wanted to get it out to her today. I even forgot about the letters in there! Which I'm glad was there, since it got me here now." Kita smiles at Nijika, finally realizing that she can relax, and focus more on playing guitar again, she even gets to spend more time with the one she admires and loves now: Hitori Gotoh.
Before Kita and Hitori walk out, they wave off at the band and manager, even if the leave is a little sudden. Practice and rehearsal is done after all, so they can go home anyway.
Hitori and Kita held hands the entire time they walked home together. They had a few stares from other people, but that didn't stop them. They loved each other after all. What's stopping love? I guess the Hidden Letters were something worth keeping.
