"Mooj-" Zam whined
"I already said no Zam, there's no way I'm letting you do an off the record mission. Do you know how dangerous that is?" Mooj interrupted
"I'm seventeen now! That's practically an adult!" Zam protested.
"Well I am an adult and I say you can't do it" Mooj shot back.
"But-" Zam was cut off before she could even finish her sentence.
"No buts, I say you can't go" Zam stormed off to her room, grumbling, stupid Mooj, she doesn't understand. She pulled out her phone texting Mapicc.

Mapicc opened the window to Zam's window. She was already dressed: cargos, bodysuit, boots, and mask. He held his hand out to her, and she took it. She climbed out of the window, a thump as her boots hit the ground.
"Lemme guess, Minute didn't agree to this either?" Zam asked.
"Hell no, he would never agree," Mapicc answered.
"Who else is coming?" Zam questioned. "Spoke and Ash," Mapicc responded.
The pair eventually ended up on a rooftop with Spoke and Ash.
"What's the plan?"
"We already know where their base is, all we have to do is fight them off while Ash gets their plans and weapons" Spoke explained
"Hello there" a voice came from behind, no doubt belonging to the infamous puppet master.
Puppet Master was once a hero, one day deciding it wasn't in his interest to be one and managing to take down half of his class. Only 5 out of the 20 heroes survived the massacre Timeshock, Thorn, Arctic, Phobos, and her very own sister Selene
"Puppet! You have to slow down-oh hey! Heroes!" The voice came from a blue haired girl, Kaboodle, Puppet's new protege.
"What do you want, Puppet?"
"Well, considering you're about to raid our base, I want you dead" He didn't even finish his sentence before swinging his scythe towards Zam.
The team managed to get to the villain's base before Puppet and Kaboodle caught up to them
Zam ran with Mapicc in her arms, Spoke and Ash trailing behind.
Mapicc had a deep gash on the back of his thigh after Puppet's scythe sliced the flesh open.
"Mape, just stay awake for me, okay?" Zam reassured.
They stopped in a secluded alleyway, Zam setting Mapicc down and holding her hands above the wound. There was a glow emitting from her hands as Mapicc's flesh weaved itself back together.
"It stings" Mapicc whined.
"Shut up-" Zam's words were cut off by Mooj.
"Zam!" Mooj scolded, Minute trailed behind.
"Mapicc, Spoke, what the hell were you thinking!" Minute yelled.
"Dad! I-" Spoke argued.
"Mape, Spoke, we're leaving. Ash, go home, your parents are not happy with you" Minute said.
"oh, and all of you are grounded for a very long time".
"Dad! You can't do that!" Mapicc argued, Zam agreeing with him with a soft "mm".
Minute dragged them to his car, Spoke getting into the backseat and Mapicc opening the passenger seat door.
"Sit in the back, you've shown me you're not mature enough for the front seat" Minute scolded.
"Dad!-" Mapicc protested "That's enough, back seat" Minute cut him off.
The drive back was relatively silent, with Spoke's occasional sniffles.
Minute unlocked the door of the apartment with a click, Spoke let Mapicc shower first since he was injured Spoke was heading off to his room before he heard a "wait".
Minute pulled him into a hug and kissed his forehead
"I'm not mad at you." He said, squeezing Spoke
"'M still sorry" Spoke said, in that little voice he spoke in when he was scared.
"It's okay kiddo, I won't hurt you, you're not there anymore" Minute reassured, lifting spoke up into his arms.
Spoke giggled and buried his face into Minute's shoulder.
"Love you Dad."
“Love you too kiddo, let's get you to bed hm?” Minute proposed.
“Fine” Spoke responded as Minute carried him.
Minute placed Spoke down on his bed, squatting down, and rolling up his pant leg to address the small gash there.
Spoke winced at the contact of the fabric to his wound, whining as Minute gently cleaned it.
“It stings,” Spoke whined, squirming.
“I'm trying to be gentle kiddo, maybe if you stopped squirming” Minute responded, now wrapping a bandage around Spoke’s leg. Minute stood up, kissing Spoke’s forehead.
“Goodnight kid, how about you change and get some rest?” Minute said, heading to the door.
Spoke sat, cowering in a corner.
“YOU COULD'VE MADE ME RICH WITH YOUR POWERS, INSTEAD YOU TRASHED MY HOUSE, GET OUT!”
get out
get out
Get out
GET OUT
and Spoke did, grabbing his worn teddy and dashing out the door.
Spoke woke up in a sweat, pulling off the covers and letting his feet touch the soft carpet. He padded over to his Father's room, pushing it open with a creak.
“Hey kid, why are you up so late?” Minute said from his desk.
“Nightmare” Spoke said, walking over to Minute’s desk
“Whatcha doing?” Spoke asked
“Just some emails” he responded, closing his laptop “you should go back to sleep, you have school tomorrow.”
“I don't wanna” Spoke mumbled back.
“School or sleep?” Minute asked. “Can I say both?” Spoke asked.
“Maybe I'll let you two stay home tomorrow, I don't want you fighting with injuries” Minute proposed.
Spoke fought back a yawn as he nodded.
“Someone's getting sleepy, hm?” Minute asked, in that fatherly tone Spoke clung to, even after all these years.
“Can I sleep in your bed?” Spoke asked, he already knew the answer, but he wanted to hear his dad say it.
“Of course kid, I should be getting to sleep too.”
The pair got under the covers of Minute’s bed. Spoke clinging onto Minute like a toddler, burying his face in his father's chest.
“Comfortable?” Minute asked, knowing Spoke was already fast asleep.
Spoke nuzzled his head closer into Minute’s chest, his hybrid instincts purring.
