Chapter Text
“Sir, we need to get new posters out! Her campaigning is resonating too much with the people!” A panicked voice shouts across the room. A single headlight glints. Ah, a familiar windshield. RB Walker.
His engine growls. “I said do WHATEVER IT TAKES! That means ANYTHING! I need her OUT OF MY SIGHT.” His roar startles the desperate Skyler, trying her best.
“A-apologies, sir, I wasn’t thinking…” She stutters, quickly running back to her office.
“That’s what I thought…” RB mutters, wheeling back to his bedroom. He lights a cigarette as his assistant opens the daily newspaper for him. A headline reads, “ARIA SWAN SONG: THE ECONOMY.” This is despicable. She thinks she has any authority? She doesn’t have what it takes to run a country. RB knows this.
The assistant braces for an outburst from the truck, but it never comes. Instead, RB lets out a sigh.
“Let her try. Show her what happens when she tries to get in my way.”

It's election week. Aria, Acid, and Logan sit together, watching the news intently. As expected, RB has a quick head start, him being the incumbent. They stare intently at the television, watching as his blue bar goes up, up, up. Of course, RB’s fans label Aria as a communist. This greatly hurts her campaign, but they’ve spent millions, it’s too late to go back.
“I just… I can’t believe he’s getting away with what he did to Jie! How did he even get into office?!” Aria shouts, her little pitchy whiny voice carrying and hurting their ears.
Acid responds, chill and nonchalant as always. “Well didn’t Logang put him into office after what happened in that epic chase sequence?”
“Oh yeah.” Aria sighs, glaring at Logan from the corner of her eye. But before she can get too worked up again, she takes another glance at the TV. She does a double take- a triple take- a QUADRUPLE take-! She’s winning! By a hair, but she’s winning! “Logan, look! We’re doing it! We’re making it happen!”
“Oh my god… I didn’t think we had it in us!” Logan sniffles, a tear running down his cheek. Truly tear jerking.
“Aria, we’re almost there.. We’re gonna win, I know it!” Acid shouts, the power of friendship filling his voice.
“I’m gonna win!” Aria responds in turn. She just needs to believe in herself. They knew, no matter what RB did to stop them, she would always make it through.

As the polls come to a close, the three close friends all pour a glass of champagne. Aria won- as expected. It’s worth noting that she barely won, only by 7,000 votes. Recounts were done, of course, but Aria was the true winner.
“I can’t believe I’m the first female president… This is insane! How did we even get here?! It’s like that one fateful Sonic Lunch triggered some sort of domino effect! And I’m so grateful that you two were here through it all.”
Logan chimes in, patting Aria on the back, Suddenly, he holds up a hand. Everyone immediately understands the assignment. They put their hands together, clapping hand just like the good ol’ days.
This truly was a domino effect.
