Chapter 1: Fresh Start

Chapter Text

Monika was standing in the room with Yuri and Natsuki, the two contrast girls were talking about something, Monika didn't care to listen in.

Monika simply held a envelope behind her back, hidden from anyone, besides a current someone she wanted to confess and spill her heart to!

She saw the familiar hair through the door's windows, it was Sayori! Monika pulled out the envelope, holding it between her hands, preparing to give it to the girl of her dreams.

Once Sayori came in, Monika didn't give her the note, instead she saw Mc, someone she remembered, someone she didn't want to remember, yet Sayori seemed happier already around him.

Monika put the Envelope behind her again,  maybe it could wait longer. Hopefully this wasn't the same storyline.

Sayori and Monika decided share their poems. Monika enjoyed Sayori's poem, it fitted her. Sayori was a bit confused by Monika's poem, but decided to not saying anything about it.

Monika leaned forward slightly, "Hey Sayori~"

"Yes?"

"Do you like bittersweet stuff?"

"What made you think that?"

"Your poems and personality!" Monika smiled.

"I do actually!"

The day was almost over, and Sayori and Mc were talking. Monika sighed, walking over to the girl,  she tapped her shoulder. Sayroi turned around.

"Do you need something Monika?", Sayori asked, her voice more joyful than usual.

"Uhm..." Monika barely could anwser, already slightly flushed, yet Sayori didn't notice, then she answered Sayori, "I was wondering if you wanted to have a to have a sleepover this weekend while setting up for the festival!" Monika seemed confident as usual, yet she was nervous and flustered at the same time.

"Sure!" Sayori gleefully said. She gave Monika a smile, as she went out to walk home with Mc.

Monika wanted to call out Sayori, but she didn't, once again, she'd let the note wait.

Monika sat at her desk, usually she would of when doing work. Her pen was on the side, while paper sat empty there. Often she would write something as of wanting to see the reality, but maybe she could write something bittersweet?
