Hello! Ghost here! My friends (FirebugFrenzical (Red) & denimscotch) and I have been working on this AU for quite some time now. It was started by Red a while back, so the idea itself is all credit to him. We recently started posting art on Tumblr, and it actually gained a little traction, to which we were all totally excited about. We've also received several asks about when the content of the story will be posted and in what form, so here you go! We've decided to post it on A03 as we write it! Yay! Although, do expect art, asks, shitposts, and doodles to be intermittently posted on our accounts which can be found here!
I've never written a fic before. Neither have my friends, so I'd like to explain the format of this story and why some things may feel a little odd.
We write the story initially as a long-form roleplay on the good ol' discord dot com. After each is finished, I will take and edit each reply into a (hopefully) seamless story. This may explain some choppy-feeling sections or confusing pacing, but the story SHOULD come out just like a 3rd person (partially) omniscient point of view. If you're confused about something, feel free to leave a comment or just shoot me an ask on Tumblr, and I can explain and run back to fix it and clarify if need be. There's a whole lot of He/Him in this story, so I'm already preparing for it. Also, I have no idea how this formatting for A03 works yet. So bear with me.
Another thing about this being initially in RP format! Each of us writes different characters, meaning the choices, portrayals, and writing styles of each character are going to vary somewhat. However, the three of us are longtime friends, and we all talk like each other now, so maybe it won't be noticeable. Regardless, here's the general list of who writes who:

Characters noted with * are replicants and not their human counterparts! There are also some characters that aren't listed yet, but I'll update those here AND add them at the beginning/end of the chapters when necessary, along with credits for who is writing them.

Also, a quick note ahead of time. The three of us together have a solid idea of what WE believe the FNAF timeline looks like, and we write the story here according to that. If you don't agree with our order or timeline of things, that's okay, but we like the way ours is set. I really don't have much interest in opening comments to see people complaining that "this happened first" or "that's not who that was," just goooo with it pleassseeee. In all seriousness, we've all loved FNAF for a very long time (it came out in elementary/middle school for us, prime fandom time back in 2015) and have pretty solid evidence to back up what we've picked being at LEAST possible (if not true, who knows with FNAF), but hey. Joy and whimsy, be nice, have fun, cringe is dead.
