It was only natural that Higuchi was part of the Broadcasting club. How could she not when she had all the much of an excuse to boast about her senpai on air to the whole school! Y’know... Him being in the Kudo club and all...
She skipped with a hum as she stepped into the schools broadcasting room, which was filled to the brim with all types of filming equipment. As she hastily tried to avoid all the wires on the ground, jumping at the clean patches on the ground she sat into the chair. She should really clean this place up; The principle might yell at her if he came for an inspection...
Nevertheless, she grabbed the morning script she had written the night before. To say she spent all night perfecting the script would most definitely be an understatement. Normally some of her clubmates would help write out the announcements but today was unlike any other! Today was Akutagawa’s club shoutout! Well, the club has a competition coming up but that only means she can gush about her senpai more than usual, and in an appropriate setting too! Take that Mori!
While sipping on some water, coughing and clearing her throat. She looked at the clock, 7:59am. Just in time!
She swiftly clicked the ‘Go Live’ button and grabbed a hold of the script. “Check, check, one two! Good morning, everyone!” She exclaimed with a smile unviewable by the rest of the school.
While doing the announcements is enjoyable for her, all she really cared about was the possibility of Akutagawa being eager to hear her charming voice and smiling to himself when he thinks no one's looking or even feeling disappointed when one of her clubmates takeover for a change. Though she can never really prove any of that to be true, it keeps her motivated to strive to be better and to one day sweep that boy off his feet!
“And of course to top this announcement off I'd like to praise the continuous efforts of the Kudo club once again for their upcoming competition in the coming weeks! I have no doubt our top performers will be the powerhouse we need to pull off another victory for the Bungou Academy! Though, if you don't mind me being a little biased myself, I'd like to make my own special shout out to Akutagawa-Senpai for his outstanding improvements in the past year –– I mean, can you really be surprised? he was trained by the best! His great swordsmanship and handso- I mean handy techniques that he’s pulled in all the previous competitions is something none of our rivals can beat!” Higuchi awkwardly chuckles behind the mic. “A-anyways make sure to praise all our competitors this term, and I hope we all can start this day with more than a smile!” Higuchi closed off the broadcast with that and started heading off to class, once again trying not to stumble around the wires... She’s just happy she got to talk about her senpai! And she guesses the outcome of no scolding is also cheering her up too.
