Prompt:
‎“because I care about you, okay?”

‎Ever After High has been cursed by the Snow King with a strong blizzard that made everyone to leave or evacuate.

‎The parents were forced to go home,
‎and the students had to let them.

‎Some had a few words exchanged, others giving quick hugs and some had already left, promising to call once they return home.

‎"You can't just leave that suddenly!"
‎Jillian screamed at her dad, Jack.

‎"If I don't go now, the road will be too frozen!"
‎He countered.
‎"And I can't stay, everyone has to Jillian.
‎Whether we both like it or not."

‎"But shouldn't we do something?"
‎She asked, clenching her fists from frustration and from the cold.

‎"We can't just run off while everyone else is dealing with it.
‎You told me yourself that we shouldn't run away, we should run towards the problem. Or at least help as much as we can!"

‎"We're following orders from the Headmasters and the Queen. We aren't running away."

‎"What you're doing seems like it!"

‎"What do you want me to do Jillian? I can't do anything against snow!"

‎A strong blast of wind passed through them, covering them with more frost.

‎Jack shook his head as he brushed snow away from his daughter's eyes,
‎but she turned away.

‎"All I want you to do is be safe, they said the students can't leave, and I'll call when I can."

‎Someone was calling him from behind, urging him to follow them.

‎"I have to go now, Just listen alright?"

‎And he ran, leaving Jillian less certain that their situation will get better and more upset with her dad.

‎When Headmaster Milton Grimm told all of them to stay in groups or go to warmer places, Humphrey stayed with her as they made their way to wherever where a steady fire was.

‎They found Hopper Croakington II in frog form, his tongue stuck on the frozen lockers.

‎It took the both of them to get him free, and it sent them tumbling down onto a big pile of snow.

‎"Has anyone seen Briar?" Hopper asked after transforming back to a human,
‎A panic-stricken look on his face.

‎"I haven't seen her since this morning.
‎I'm getting worried."

‎Jillian rolled her eyes at the mentioned event that was abruptly stopped by the unusual angered Snow King, her conversation with her dad once again on her mind.

‎"No we haven't seen her, but maybe she's in their dorm room?" Humphrey answered him, shivering.

‎"She's probably helping Crystal Winter with whatever their doing."

‎Hopper nodded and began his way towards where Briar could be.

‎Standing up and brushing snow off of him, Humphrey took her arm and helped her up.

‎Before he could get a word in, Jillian stormed off and headed to someplace warm, there has to be one.

‎"Hey! Jill! Did I say something wrong?"
‎He had to jog to catch up with her as her pace was fast.

‎"Not you, and it isn't your business."

‎Her voice was controlled, and it was a sign he had to stay away, but in this problem of theirs? they got to help each other. Otherwise they'll freeze.

‎"In this weather? I think I have the right to say I get to ask what the hex is going on. If I did something tell me-"

‎"I said it isn't your business Humphrey!"
‎She suddenly yelled out.

‎Humphrey stumbled to a stop.

‎Jillian doesn't get upset at anybody, not all the time, and she has a lot of self-control to stop herself from shouting.

‎Maybe she's past her breaking point?

‎Speaking of her, she slumped against the wall and fell to the floor, her face behind her hands.

‎Cautiously sitting next to her, he slowly questioned,
‎"What happened really? It's ok if you don't want to talk, but it might help if you do."

‎Jillian just sighed and wrapped her arms around her legs.

‎"Dad was hurrying to leave earlier."
‎She said with no enthusiasm, which wasn't like her even if she was upset.

‎"All the parents were in a hurry, not just yours."

‎"But he was leaving before I could get a word in. I managed to but he just told me to stay. He was running off."

‎"You run off too."

‎"I run towards it. Have you seen me escape a problem?"

‎"If I did I can no doubt count them on my fingers."

‎"Exactly. I told him that maybe he could do something first like, I don't know,
‎something that had to do with me?"

‎"You hardly see your dad, don't you?"

‎He took the silence as an answer.

‎"I guess that's a good reason why you were yelling at him."

‎"We were that loud?"

‎"No, the snowstorm was louder, but I heard bits of it."

‎They both started to shiver more as the howling wind blew past them.

‎Humphrey took her hand and pulled her up with him.

‎"How about you just forget that whole argument you had, he will call back anyway, and let's find someplace where there's fire. I'm gonna turn into an ice sculpture if we stay here any longer."

‎That got a chuckle from Jillian.

‎"I could just go there myself, mind telling me why you're still sticking with me?"

‎"We're best friends, and because I care about you, okay? Good answer?"

‎"It's a good answer. Now come on!"
