Chapter 1: Earth 465

Chapter Text

There was only so much she could handle. She was a human, just like everyone else. But that wasn't an excuse for others, was it?

From the moment everything started to the end, it was like a duty for her to keep it all together. She tried to hold it in, to carry on, but everyone had a limit. Not everyone would be calm..

.. especially those who had nothing to lose.

Her gaze roamed over the room, taking it all in for one last time. Her photos with her friends, her photos with her, scribbled with random doodles. She turned the back of the photo.

"Jamie and Avery, 2021"

Has it been really that long? 3 years really did pass in a blur. 3 agonizing years, filled with guilt and 'what-if's. But now, it would all end.

She still remembered her blood on her hands, the way she lay, the way she would call for her.

"Jamie.."

She shook with the memory. She put the photo back in its place.

She never had any real friends beside Avery. Sure, she had a friend group but Avery was special, the sister she never had.

A tear streamed down her cheek without realizing.

She would join her Avery soon.

The pills in her mouth tasted heavy and dull. She felt her stomach knot the moment she swallowed them. She laid down on her bed, clutched her blanket and waited for her fate.

She felt confused, and she felt nauseous as she tried to not throw up. The room was freezing, or she was just dreaming. The cold wrapped around her as she cuckooned herself in the blankets.

Tears glistened in her eyes, and she was happy of it. The pain was just an obstacle on her way to her escape of this cruel world.

Jamie closed her eyes, expecting the coldness to wrap her and never let go again. She willingly chose this path and darkness slowly crept up on her..

...and then she opened her eyes again.
