Just like every loop before, the fighter stands waiting for a couple of minutes. Starling walks up to him and the Fighter spins them around and kisses them.
...Usually you look away... you tend to not be able to watch them, but today you’re captivated. It’s odd watching your own ex kiss a younger version of yourself. They’re so loud about it too.
You watch as they finish their awkward little conversation, promising to meet up with their little boyfriend later, and then they walk up to you.
“Hi Loop!”
You ‘smile’ and wave. They push you aside and sit next to you on your side of the tree. Right. They do that now. A little part of their touch therapy, so you can hold hands and stare into each other’s eyes (or eye).
Something has taken you over as you look at them lately, your face gets all warm and you feel as if you could kiss them just as much as the Fighter does.
They look concerned. Oh right, you usually greet them.
“Is something wrong-”
You cut them off, pressing your face against theirs. You can’t really... kiss, but the spirit’s there.
You pull back, looking into their eye for any kind of reaction.
..Was that shock or terror?
They scoot away from you, falling off the root and landing on their butt. It would be amusing if they weren’t looking up at you with such.. betrayal. They… you… you’re disgusting, why would you…
