Chapter Text
Bok-su knew that she wasn’t in the greatest of mental states so when she decided to go to her old… friend’s wedding she knew what was going to happen, what she was planning.
Perhaps in another life Bok-su would be a doctor, a great one, but alas.
Da-jeong, oh Da-jeong, greeting guests smiling, in that wedding dress of hers, a white wedding dress. It really matched her brown eyes accompanied with light-ish brown hair- and that smile…oh that smile.
Bok-su was the opposite. A black suit, red gloves, no tie, no smile. Maybe from outer glance it looked like they were the ‘to-be’s’. Until the real fiancé came, a bumbling idiot, in Bok-su’s opinion.
He had a clean white suit on, slick backed hair with small parts hanging over his face rather nicely, he had squared glasses that encased his dark brown eyes.
Bok-su tapped his shoulder.
“Oh-hi,hello!!” The groom stuttered,”I'm the husban- fiancé, i mean, heh… Myeong-hoon.” He scratched the back of his head.
“Bok-su.” She offered. Might as well play nice.
Just as Myeong-hoon was about to respond, Da-jeong ran up to them.
“Who is-” Her mouth snapped shut. It was clear in her eyes that she was scared. It almost made Bok-su giggle. Almost.
Myeong-hoon butted in,”Hi honey,do you remember your university friend? You told me about her, remember?”
Da-jeong swallowed.
“W-when did you invite her…?” She asked, her voice shaky.
Bok-su stood silently.
“Oh! When you were stressed about invites!” He laughed, but stopped when he saw the look Da-jeong was giving him.
“W-was I n-not supposed to?Im so sorry,I-I didn’t know!” Myeong-hoon nervously rambled.
He quickly turned and took off (like a pussy).
Bok-su smirked and quirked up an eyebrow.
“So…that’s who you’re marrying…”
Not a question, but not a statement either.
“Why are you here Bok-su?” Da-jeong got straight to the point, no point in longing it out.
“Because I was invited.” Bok-su deadpanned mockingly.
“I’m not stupid, Bok-su, answer the question.” She grumbled. The scowl that Da-jeong was doing was enough to burn a hole through a wedding cake.
“I’m here because I’m rooting for my Ex to be happily married.” Bok-su raised her eyebrows.
“Shhhh! Don’t-don’t say it that loud!” Da-jeong panicked.
“I’m joking!” Bok-su chuckled, ”Oh, man, that’s funny.”
“Just-don’t ruin this for me,okay?” She didn’t wait for an answer, she just turned sharply on her heel (her high heels- ouch!)
Bok-su stared at her back until she was out of sight, then went looking for the husband-to-be.
Ew.
