Work Text:

“You’re shivering, Bobert.”

Both sitting on the couch, Robert looks up from the paperwork he still has to finish, raising an eyebrow at his boyfriend. He had just come home from work, having to walk through the freezing winter weather for half an hour until he closed the front door behind him once finally inside. Robert is pretty used to the cold, to the feeling of stiff hands to the point of hurting and trembling legs, given that he doesn’t really wear thick jackets or sweaters.

Before he can even answer, Chad has already grabbed three dried blankets from the rack, figuring they’re soften than his own body. He wraps them all around the smaller man, covering him from head to toe, making sure not a single cold breeze can slip through a gasp to bother his love.

Yup, Robert looks way cuter like this, wrapped in blankets.

“There, much better. Isn’t it?” Chad asks him after being done, staring at Robert with awe for a long moment. Only his face is visible, the rest of his cold body covered in thick soft blankets. Good, can’t have him catch a cold at home. His lovely dumbass already has enough issues on his plate.

“Mhm.” Robert just answers, finding himself relaxing a little against the soft duvets wrapped around him. It’s something he never thought he needed until now. But something is missing. The blankets aren’t warm, or at least not warm enough. Or rather it’s because Robert wants a certain someone close. “You don’t want to join me? I don’t exactly feel warm.”

That’s all Chad needs to hear. He crawls towards Robert, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s duvet-covered frame when reaching him, carefully flipping them so that Robert can lay and nuzzle against his chest.

The smaller man just relaxes, letting himself enjoy the current moment. Now that he has the warmth he desired and his boyfriend holding him, Robert finally feels complete.

“Better, cariño?” Chad asks, not bothering to look up. Now that he feels the comforting warmth as well, he doesn’t want to let it go any time soon.

Robert just smiles at him.

“It’s perfect.”
