He broke her mask, again. It's every time with him. You would think that she would get tired of it, or maybe she is && she just lets it happen anyway. It's not like she runs out of things to do in the circus. Jax certainly doesn't.
"I wish you'd stop doing that," she squeaks.
He looks into the black spaces of her eyes, the tragedy mask laid bare with its permanent tears && endless sadness. That is her role to play as the sad one. So she plays her role. && he plays his, the callous rabbit, leaning in close to whisper to her. Sending shivers down through her ribbons like she still had a spine.
"Keep wishing."
