It was Christmas Eve, the snow was continuously falling.
Dennis and Arnie were cozied up inside attempting to make a gingerbread house but goofing off and making a mess was more like it.
“Come on, stop eating all the pieces before we can even assemble it together.”
“You’re acting like you aren’t eating it too.” Dennis replies mouth full.
Arnie chucks a gumdrop towards him but he dodges it and playfully tackles him onto the couch.
Their laughter fills the room.
It was hard to believe that they would be off to college soon. Time really does fly.
Dennis smiles looking over the mixtape compilation that Arnie had just made and gifted him.
They jokingly also got each other Wonder Bread but happily snacked on them the entire time.
“Hey the weather’s calmer now.” Arnie noted all dressed up and ready to go.
“Where are you going, Narnia?”
“I have a better idea. Meet you in the backyard.”
By the time Dennis was outside, he was nowhere in sight.
”Hide and seek? Really?”
Arnie quietly forms up some snow creating a snowball and launches it just nearly missing the target.
Both look equally surprised. “Oh you better start running.” Dennis warns beginning to chase after him.
“Wait- I was just— kidding.”
With his back against the tree now and nowhere left to run. He pleads for a truce barely able to contain his laughter.
“Hmm let me think about it…”
They created so many memories out here.
And here goes another one.
They lean in for a kiss.
“Am I a bad kisser?” Arnie asks face flushed.
“Horrible.” Dennis teased. “I never want to kiss you again.” He says as he continues to give Arnie plenty then proceeds to smack some snow onto his head.
“You’re so mean.” Arnie giggles.
