"Gabby's running around, she's an easy target." Aiden said, hiding beind a knocked over table.
"Ellie's hiding well. I give her that." Lake chuckled right beside him.
"How did they get Hunter on their side?" James asked.
"Tess said stress got to him in the game." Ashley said.
"Oh? Yo've talked with Tess?" James smirked.
"Plenty of times." Ashley laughed.
"Miriam and Tom are just talking, Yul's being Yul." Lake chuckled.
"Wait. Where's Fiore?!" Ashley stood up, only for a lot pop to be heard as water sprayed the others as Ashley kelt back down, face soaked.
"She was hiding on the other side." She dryly said, the cackling sound of the little girl slowly going away as she ran back to where her team was.
"She's a clever one....... why did we agree to let Ellie, Hunter and her be on the same team?" James asked.
"Oversight." Aiden laughed.
The 8 of the 12 people at the motel currently were playing with water balloons. Since Miriam said they had to have a group activity.
Tom was banned for anout 10ish minutes so he didn't snipe everyone. Miriam didn't want to get wet, Yul was banned...... because it was him. But someone was missing.
"Where's Tess?" Ashley asked, setting her hat down as Aiden looked around.
"By the steps." He said as Ashley looked over.
"I'm.... gonna go talk to her." She said as the three s2 players nodded, avoiding hellfire from the other side.
Wasn't hard when Gabby was throwing like three at once somehow, it even looked lke Fiore and Ellie were trying to get her to calm down.
Getting over to the steps, Tess looked at Ashley, and smile a little.
"Ashley. Hey!" Tess smiled as Ashley grined.
"Howdy! Whatcha drawing?" She asked.
"Your as subtle as Hunter is." Tess insantly said.
"And your reactions are like Fiore's." Ashley laughed.
"They're rubbing off on us I guess."
"But seriously. What's the picture?"
"Animals. Gabby wanted to watch a documentary. Fiore funny cat videos and like every 10 minutes they switched...... got me into wanting to draw them." Tess chuckled.
"Well why not join us?! I think it would be fun to do." Ashley smiled.
"Stuff like that isn't in my comfort zone." Tess chuckled as Ashley sat by her.
"Hunter said he didn't ask."
"He didn't. He knew I would say that." Tess laughed gently.
"Well I don't think you should push yourself away when joinging in is fun."
"Eh...... I struggle with the walls I have up." Tess admitted.
"Well..... the best thing to do is move past those walls....... like my ex Will, he was never in his comfort zone with a lot. I helped him move past it all." Ashley smiled.
"Is that why......" Tess paused as her As the cowgirl's eyes went wide.
"Oh god no! We were so happy together. It was a mutrual break up. But while together..... I helped him with getting over so many fears and move past them, I learned that you sometimes got to do things you don't feel full on board doing." Ashley laughed.
"So I need to just break my walls down inside?" Tess smirked, setting her pen down.
"Exactly you got t-" A loud bang cut her off as water sprayed Tess slightly as she looked up shocked, seeing FIore frozen a bit away as Ashley sighed, holding the slight annoynace in.
"What's she doing?"
"She's running. I think she thought you were playing." Tess chuckled.
"With her I can never tell." Ashley sighed.
"I'd give this a pass, it looks hectic out there." Tess said, going back to drawing.
Sitting down, Ashley smiled slightly as Tess smiled back warmly.
"As I was saying. You gotta get out of ya comfort zone."
"Well you mentioned it already. Did your ex do that?"
"Will..... did, I cherished out time together, but........ we both wanted diffrent things. But he's my best friend and i'm thankful we met." Ashley said.
"Hmmm. That''s why you seem on edge a lot." Tess said.
"Stressed?"
"Well..... it's caused you strees iternally." Tess offered.
"Breaking up?"
"It can really hurt a person inside...... It hurt to not be with Hunter and Ally..... but I didn't want to drag them down." Tess said.
"I..... guess that's a true point." Ashley said, Tess quietly grabbing her hands.
"I..... admire that positvity you have Ashley. I wish I could have that power in me." Tess said.
"Everyone has that Tess. I never did get to mention, but watching season 2, I admired your drive, you always seemed set on your choices without regret." Ashley said.
"Not everything is perfect. But I try." Tess said.
".... I wish I could draw like you. My drawing skills like that aren't great." Ashley said.
"I can show you after this game ends." Tess smiled.
"That would be nice....... truth be told, I wantd to talk more with you during the game." Ashley laughed bashfully as Tess raised a brow.
"Did you know?" She chuckled.
"Guess it's silly." Ashley said as Tess grabbed her hands tighter.
"It's not....... I wanted to talk with you more." Tess admitted, making Ashley blush a tiny bit, and that almost never happened!
"Well then.......... If you want to uh...... talk more...... Do you want to join our game of w-" BANG! As Ashley stood back up like lightning. ANOTHER water balloon hit her in the back of the head.
Tess winced as Ashley's fists closed as she spun around, Eyes on fire.
"CAN I FINISH MA CONVERSTAION BEFORE YOU PELT ME WITH MORE WATER BALLOONS!" She yelled out, before looking confused.
"Sorry! That's my bad! I was aiming for Aiden!" Gabby called out.
"I didn't mean to run by them!" Aiden called out.
"It's....... alright." Ashley said, turning back around.
"Thought it was FIore?"
"I thought she was pushing my buttons."
"You missed the look she had at realizing you weren't playing right now. Lake and Aiden did say she tries to be fair with these." Tess chuckled gently, Ashley joining her.
"Not sure why."
"Hunter said so she can brag about kicking everyone's asses fairly.... which I would do too." Tess shrugged as Ashley laughed.
"Alright, that one's funny." She said, before realizing they were holding hands still.
They sat their quickly before for a sudden quick one or two seconds, they kissed. It wasn't long or drawned out, but they kissed, and both wanted it again.
As they moved away from each other slightly, letting the moment settle. Both heard joyous yelling in both german and Italian.
Hearing loud cries echo around right after, Tess shook her head as she smiled.
"Lake and Fiore are now working together." Tess laughed.
"Oh...... Lake swapped sides. Tom joined." Ashley giggled as Tess shook her head.
"A part of me doesn't want this to end...... despite it being chaos with some...... hiccups. I love mostly everyone here.... baring someone." Tess smirlked.
"I........ may have some issues, but..... Eh. The last week or so here at the motel has been fun. The hiccups after the comeback is where I wish someone didn't come." Ashley said as a loud shriek suddenly came out.
"Damn Tom!" Ellie's laugh echoed.
"And he's not doing hot with Lake, Gabby and Fiore going for him." Tess shook her head, amused.
"Guess we should of expected that." Ashley said.
"....... when did you start having feelings if I may ask." Tess said as Ashley nodded.
"It's fine....... I guess it was around the musical challenge..... I love Your lines in your team's song."
"I had like 4 lines." Tess laughed.
"Still liked them" Ashley said as Tess calmed down after a few seconds.
"I'll be fair..... was a big fan watching you on season one."
"I was out by epiosde 5." Ashley laughed.
"Still like the run." Tess smirked.
"Touche." Ashley laughed as Tess nodded, only now realizing they were still holding hands.
"So?" Ashley suddenly grinned.
"So what?" Tess chuckled.
"Will you come join the rest of us for war! It's really fun!" Ashley grinned as Tess chuckled standing up.
"Alright. I guess I can play a little before all of the balloons are gone, or else it won't be fun anymore if it's just sparying people with water." Tess said.
"You didn't see FIore and Hunter with those water guns...... Lake shouldn't have shown them those." Ashley sighed, massaging her temple.
"Let them have fun. It's inocent fun with stuff like that." Tess chuckled as she slipped her note pad back in her bag as she stood up, smiling at Ashley.
"Great! Then Let's....... Go." Ashley paused as she turned around as Fiore dragged a bucket FULL of water balloons.
"Fiore. I'm warning you." Ashley started to say as Fiore put a finger to Ashley's mouth, surprisng the cowgirl as she stopped.
She never tried to quiet somoene like this.
"If I wanted to pelt you with them. I would of gotten above you and drop them all. I want you to help." Fiore grinned that normaly would send chills up Ashley's back, but a part of her was curious becuase FIore had a point about the balloons. And telling her this.
"Help with what?" Ashley asked, as FIore pointed at Yul.
"Me and Gabby want a short truce with everyone. We want to fuck his shit up! We want to rain hellfiore of water filled balloons just because it's him!" Fiore grinned more as Ashley glanced at Tess who held a chuckle in at the little girl but grabbed a balloon.
"Hmmm. It is tempting." She smirked.
Ashley hated that she grew the same smirk, but she had to admit, it was an idea she really loved a lot.
And damnit her ma said before if something fun was avalible, you take that chance.
And she wasn't gonna be a wet blanket for this!
"Alright Fiore. We'll help you and Gabby." Ashley said.
"Never thought I'd hear those words." Fiore giggled as Gabby came running over.
"Are they in!" Gabby bounced happily.
"one hundred percent." Fiore said.
"YAY!" Gabby cheered.
"Well you wanted fun. Here we go." Tess chuckled, using her free hand to hold Ashley's.
"Yeah. It's gonna be one for the record books." Ashley laughed, seeing Ellie bringing a bucket to James, Lake and Aiden. Tom and her nodding at each other.
They really were getting everyone involved with this.
Well at least it meant it was a group activity. Miriam really wanted them to get along, surprisingly. So hopefully this counted.
But something both girls didn't get was one thing.
"Where did y'all get all these balloons? We've been at this for 3 hours." Ashley asked.
"Nail mushroom muncher in the head and I'll tell you!" FIore said as Ellie held a smirk back as Lake laughed.
"Deal."
